Calling All Grand Mothers...

Good Golly
Where do the years go?

I had a lovely vacation to Florida and being with my children down there!
My days are in His hand...

Making time to impart love and truth in the next generation!
We have become too self absorbed into our self culture.
My Pastor's wife can be heard saying;
Family is everything!

Calling all Grandmothers to arise...
Let us work while it is yet day!

Speak life!
Create  lovely cards and notes to send to them!
Write down funny things they might say!
They will love to read them one day.
Find a day that works for a weekly chat with the grandchildren!

For the married couple;
Pray for their marriages!
Send them a gift card so they can go out on a date.
Be not easily offended;
Support and encourage them!

Here are my sweet Grandchildren in Florida.
We have another one on the way!!
So, I will be going back in August or Sept, when SHE is born :o)

Here is my Little
"Boots and Pants"
"Boots and Pants"

Here are my other sweet young men !
Got Goose???

These Boys are country through and through!

I am privileged to live right next door to these
" Little Men"

If your children are yet small you still one day will be a Grand Mother;
A calling worthy of God's Love and Grace!
Pray and inquire of the Lord (How to PRAY for each of them)
Ask the Lord, how to impact their lives for His Glory!

Being a good Parent or Grand Parent just doesn't happen...
It is by intentional living and speaking!

Calling All Grand Mothers...
Be a Grand Mother YOUR Grand Children will remember!
Love, Grammy

  1. Hi Roxie! Wonderful photos of your grandchildren. And it's so nice to 'meet' your daughter in Florida too. You look so happy, so full of love.

    Great advice for Grandparents too. I do FaceTime with my grandchildren when I can, usually every week. It's hard to be away from them (and you have some next door!), but seeing them on my computer helps.
    Blessings :)

  2. I'm not a grandparent yet, but I have been praying for my boys mates for quite a while. I look forward to the day I have grand children to love and spoil too!

    I just love that picture of David. Boots and Pants!! I think of him now when I see that commercial.

    Have a great day!

    Blessings,
    Amy

  4. You have beautiful grandchildren Roxy. I couldn't agree with you more, this is a role that is more important than I think most people realize. I love being a grandmother and feel blessed that I have the opportunity to invest in the lives of my grandchildren

  5. Rox, How wonderful to see these pictures. Ashley looks so beautiful. You both look beautiful. I am so happy to see those precious grandchildren of yours.
    They just warm my heart. Little "Boots and Pants" is getting so big. You have a wonderful bunch all 7 + of them. Can't wait to see precious baby girl when she comes. Our children and our grandchildren truly are a reward aren't they?
    Love and Blessings,
    Pam

  6. YES! YES! YES!
    I agree with everything you have mentioned. Tell them Truth!
    Memories are so important, too.
    Every chance I get, I stop each grandchild and look them in the eyes, and tell them I love them.

    I hope this isn't an over rated phrase but, I feel we are Kindred Spirits.

    Great pictures! It's fun to get to know your family.

  12. What a lot of adorable grands you have! I like how you called the grandsons right next door "little men." John loves to tell our grands that they are "little men " I think that they stand a little taller.

    How blessed to be adding to the number with a granddaughter this summer. Very blessed.

    And, Roxy, I love that you have photos of yourself with your grands!

  16. Shared this tonight on Google +. Unlike Jo above, I don't think I'll be the type to spoil, but you can bet I'll love them and teach them about Jesus. I also hope to be able to teach them old time skills. First, I need some sons and daughters in love!
    Be blessed,
    Laura
