I have frozen cake before but didn't know biscuits (ok, you all call something else biscuits) would keep their freshness without going soggy!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14812640346610262141noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4591712229039680133.post-37088731316859587482013-04-10T12:59:11.486-06:002013-04-10T12:59:11.486-06:00Wow!! Does it work best to freeze in a tin or would a plastic container work too? I only have a small freezer in my side by side so don't freeze many meals or baked items. But I do have this recipe for chocolate chip cookies which involves shaping the dough into a log and then freezing it before slicing into rounds to bake. By doubling the recipe I can ensure I have extra logs to freeze and then it's a case of preheating the oven and whipping out a log to slice for fresh out of the oven cookies! The other advantage of the log method is you get perfectly uniform cookies. And it saves time when you can prepare ahead and just pull something out of the freezer, and have a fresh treat/meal. I remember one day last summer a friend came to visit for the day with her children. There was no way I could have cooked that day, but I had a homemade pizza in the freezer! And by midday, when four hungry kids chorused, "pizza, pizza, pizza" I just pulled it out of the freezer and popped it into the oven for a few minutes, and we had our lunch. :o)Mrs. Anna Thttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15377583333000789903noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4591712229039680133.post-56024381189887309672013-04-09T11:43:50.147-06:002013-04-09T11:43:50.147-06:00I have always loved how you keep your cookies fres...I have always loved how you keep your cookies fresh Rox. I will have to pull out some tins and give it a try. I am in the mood for some cookies and comfort food today (that is what I even posted about just now), and I think I will add a little baking to my list... it is the perfect weather for it don't you think? Thanks for the inspiration.Pamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17962395509313703071noreply@blogger.com
