House Keeper Or Homemaker

Home Maker

Or

House Keeper

We have come a long way!

But we still have the beginning call upon our lives!

Times have changed, but the design and purpose has not.

We as women have the ability to make the
choice to be:

Homemakers
Or
Housekeepers

They seem to be doing the same things as job descriptions.
But with a much different heart and approach.

A housekeeper may do all the home duties;
but it is done with a different motive.
A house keeper is working for a monetary wage.
But a homemaker is doing hers with a different heart,
and motive.

I believe I have been in a house that I could tell
that it was running via a housekeeper.
And yet ,most homes I have been to are being managed
by a homemaker.

The difference:

Housekeepers: Very clean and smells like polish and wax.
Very few people in the rooms.
Very quiet.

Homemakers: Very comfy and cozy
Very busy with people coming and going.
Very much filled with talking and laughter.

Both are receiving their wages!
One monetary,
the other eternal and more profitable.

Gentle Beauty...

Real Beauty, Compassion, Living From Glory To Glory Blog...
Grace and Compassion
There is no beautifier of complexion,
Or form of behavior, like the wish to
scatter joy and not pain around us.
By: Ralph Waldo Emerson
There is a presence of grace, that
is unseen, but rather felt
in the heart.
My desire is to be a woman, who
if only for a brief moment of time.
Is to play out my daily deeds,
 with compassion.
Compassion is not worth anything:
if we only feel pity.
But rather feeling another's
Sorrow or hardship that leads to help.
Therefore, as God's chosen people,
holy and dearly loved,
cloth yourself with
Compassion.
From:
The Book Of Colossians
Compassion great or small,
is an act of giving yourself to
others.
Blessings,

Roxy

A Sweet Fragrance

A Lovely Fragrance

It is a very distinctive and pleasant beauty secret.

Our sense of smell is a powerful and complex
thing. We can experience a pleasure by a
lovely fragrance.

I think a very  easy and wonderful beauty secret is to
always wear a fragrance daily.

A light spray or splash of a fragrance you
 love helps you to feel
feminine and pretty.

I have always loved White Shoulders Perfume.

I also have many others I like,
 a sweet Jasmine scent
is amazing.

Also, Giorgio I saved this one for special occasions!

I have sweet memories of my Mother
wearing Emeraud Perfume.
It still invokes a very precious memory.

I love to hear someone say; you smell good!
(Especially my hubby)

I have even found a couple spray colognes from the Dollar Store,
That were really quite nice.

The soul deep in prayer
As a hyacinth
Stretches its pillar bloom,
Feelers of fragrance unseen,
To the edge of the room.

The Secret Garden

      Welcome
Enter His gates with thanksgiving!
Take time in this moment
and walk in.
I love the sweet and endearing idea of a gate.
It can just beckon us to come in, as we wonder
what is behind the gate.
I like to think of the secret garden story
or anyone of the books I have read.
That will say something like; as we strolled in the garden .
We really can go to those places
in our imagination.
In our very busy days I have been really feeling the need.
To enter into the place He has given me.
The secret place.
What are some of the things that the Lord has
given you to find pleasure?
This morning I brought out the material pieces,
I have been buying that just caught my eye.
I began cutting out for myself some new aprons.
My aprons are really showing their age. :)
Take pleasure my dear friends in those
moments of His presence.
So we can carry on and manage our
Homes in peace and Joy.
Blessings, Roxy

Dwell In Possibilities

The Beginning Of Wisdom

Happy New Year
2013

My sweet hubby got home this morning and he
said you want to see something really cool?
I said yes, and he said follow me.
We went outside in the freezing daybreak.
A light
cover of frosty snow on everything.
He pointed out into the eastern sky, and to
our amazing eyes was the most
 magnificent rainbow.

Now that was a sign from the Lord:

For this was a very personal message to us.
When we were married 30 years ago,
we chose the rainbow as our symbol
for our wedding, and our vows.

I believe God allows us certain sweet signs to encourage us!
Now what better sign for Him to give us to see on
 January 1, 2013
But a rainbow!

May this message encourage you!

May we all Dwell in Possibilities:
With God all things are possible!

Blessings, Roxy

Bible Reading Plan

Bible Reading
We are on the thresh hold of another new year.
It is a new beginning of so many things.
It is a great time to re-examine  your daily Bible reading
Schedule. Or maybe to use a new Bible all together.
I have just started a new Bible study myself, it will help me
to get focused. I need to get back on track, after the busy
holidays. My morning time with the Lord needs to be
Refreshed and organized,
Here is a list of a few ideas:
  1. Clean off the area you will be using (desk, table etc.)
  2. Get a new journal for notes and prayer request.
  3. Have your concordance and a dictionary handy.
  4. Have a good pen and a highlighter.
  5. Choose a couple of good devotionals to read.
  6. Get yourself a copy of a Bible reading chart.
  7.  Use a Bible you can write and highlight in.
Make a place ready to meet with Him.
May you cherish your quiet time,
and it becomes a treasure to you.
Be a wise woman and seek Him daily!

Here is a web site to print out a Bible reading plan
For this New Year

Go to Discipleship Journal
There are 4 different plans to choose from.

SWEET WORDS

Happy First Day of Winter

Today is the new beginning of another season.
May we not grow weary in doing good.

We are in the last few days of Christmas preparation's,
and baking and wrapping and visiting friends.
Family members may be arriving for Christmas.

It may seem like something is coming to an end,
Ye, another season and new beginning is come.

I always like to make a challenge
for myself, each new season.
This season is to:
Be mindful of my words...

SWEET WORDS

Put on tender mercies,
kindness, humility,
meekness, longsuffering.
Colossians 3:12

Sometimes in the hurry and bustle
we can become careless and hurt those
we love ,with our words.
Like one gals blog she said lets not be Grinchy

Instead of hurling angry words
That wound and stir up strife,
Use words of kindness, filled with love,
That heals and nourish life. -Sper

I pray everyday that the Lord
would set a guard over my mouth.

Blessings To All, Roxy

Happily Married

Christmas Memories

When I stop to think of all the Christmas's past. my heart
wells with love.
For because of God's great mercy He gave me
a husband that loved me well.

It was not always as great as it is now.
But there was so many things we did not understand, or know about
in those first couple of years.

A great marriage is a relationship
that must be nourished and prayed over daily.
It is learning to love and esteem the other better then yourself.

It is about putting them first and his needs.

Dying to myself was most painful as a young
self centered spunky gal.

As a newly married women I had no one to mentor me in
the skills of being a Godly women.
And most importantly a Godly wife.

We both new something was not right, but we had no
examples to follow and we had no maturity
in the word of God.

But in God's great mercy he made us aware of a  conference,
that was for marriages.
We went and it was a whole weekend filled with:
How to have a Godly Marriage.

What we learned that weekend was truly a gift from the Lord.
The truth is not always easy.
But the truth will always bring life , love and hope.

My desire and prayer as I walk in this marriage,
is to be an example to others.
And to have an encouraging word.

Marriage is what God had in His heart,
so we had someone to share this life with.

Encourage yourself in your own marriage,
and make the effort to honor and cherish your mate.

Ask God for the help and resources you may need,
to make your marriage strong, and wonderful.
I still reach for my books to read about how to be a Godly wife.
It is like a good recipe, tried and true,
yet at times you need to add a little pinch of this,
or a dash of that.

Blessings,Roxy

Jolly St. Nick

Jolly St.Nick

I so enjoy the idea of the history of
St. Nicholas.
What the whole history is I don't know,
but the concept is the idea of giving.

It is wonderful to give!
Yet this can be a time where we give things that are
just stuff.

What is it that people really need?

"Not toys or stuff"

But rather something that will not perish
or fad away.

I want to shout from the roof tops to tell everyone,
of the wonderful gift, that was given to me.

My heart jumps with laughter and glee:
For my saviour
JESUS CHRIST
saved me!

So, now let me give YOU,
the gift he has given me.

Ask Jesus to come into your heart,
and ask Him to lead you and guide you
in His narrow way.

Now, you will know the most famous
giver of ALL.

For God so loved the world he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish
but have eternal life.
John 3:16

Have a blessed Christmas everyone!

Sweetest Season Of All

Sweet Friends

Happy Holidays

There is just such a sweetness of
friends and family
during this joyous time of year!

Make time for your friends
this holiday season.
For they are your gifts from God.

You can just feel the excitement...

The children ,
there eyes really do light up with
anticipation.

There sweetness helps me to not stress!

May we make the time to be a blessing to
someone this time of year.

Enjoy watching Christmas movies!
and
sip a cup of spice tea or hot chocolate,
and address your Christmas cards.

Take pleasure in this season,
and remind yourself this one thing:

JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON

Make wonderful happy memories.

This picture makes me think of the days
that were innocent and much more friendly.

A picture does paint a thousand words!

Merry Christmas

Blessings, Roxy
