Good Housekeeping Spiritually...

Living from Glory to Glory Blog

Spiritual House Cleaning
It is so wonderful to see and hear that so many women from all over this world,
That have taken being keepers of their homes to heart!

We wash and mop and wax to bring forth the best in our homes.
I believe in keeping our homes tidy and well maintained,
It allows for a foundation that
brings forth peace and order.
But what I want to talk about today is the spiritual cleanliness
of your home!
There are things we have allowed knowingly and some because they did not know any better.
Many did not realize things can have an unclean spirit attached to them.
These things open doors to many evil effects.
They can give a person or child an unhealthy desire for the occult.
Or even think witchcraft is okay.
And that
Sorcery is cute and funny and holds great mystery...
We live in this world that has two forces that try to reign.
Things to get rid of from your home.
Destroy them by smashing or burning them!
Do NOT give them away or sell them!
Any movie that would not please Father God.
Any CD or any DVD or VHS that would grieve the Holy Spirit.
Any statue of another False God
Dragons (games,evil looking toys)
Gargoyles
Pictures that portray darkness.
Books; Harry Potter, etc.
Any books that glorify darkness.
Ouija Boards
Tarot cards
Mystical or ungodly objects
Jewelry
(Skulls, dragons, evil significance to them)
Just ask the Lord to show you what is in your home that does not please HIM!
Believe me He will.
Ask the Lord to forgive you for the evil things you have
Subjected yourself and loved one too.

We will one day be held accountable for what we have allowed
ourselves and our children to play with,
And have called it entertainment.
I tell you, many are grieving the Lord!
So, I ask you ladies to clean your home spiritually,
make a stance and obey God!
He will bless you if you will say no to these things.
Train and teach others as to what is of God and what is of the devil.
Do not be caught sitting down on the job!

Blessings,
Livng From Glory To Glory

  3. This is very, very good Rox.
This is something that I think is so important, and family has done this many times. Quite often the younger kids have brought things home, or in through the internet that wasn't good, and we have had to really keep an eye on that aspect of our spiritual walk, because we are so inundated with those kinds of things these days. We are being flooded so fast with so much,
and it is so important to keep it all cleaned out and the door shut to it. Love the post.

  4. I just wanted to say Wow to you ladies who took a risk to be in agreement with this post. Because it took a risk to write it. I believed this is what the Lord asked me to do! And no sooner did I say yes Lord and the battle started. Our sweet old dog was bitten by a rattle snake. We prayed and did all we could for him. And we believe God has answered our prayers!
Thanks for your courage to clean your homes spiritually!!
    Blessings, Roxy

  5. This is a GREAT POST! This is my own personal "soap box" because it seems to be the method by which Christians are being rendered completely ineffective in this culture. It is also hardening our hearts to many different sins. Oh, it grieves my heart because I know it grieve's God's Heart. May we be always on guard with the entertainment we allow in our homes. Thanks for writing! Visiting from The Prudent Life :)

  7. Amen!! I agree with everyone's comments. We sometimes seem to turn a blind eye and not see what is really coming into our homes. If we as women and mamas don't wipe the doorstep clean then who knows what will lurk in through the darkness. It's sad to think there are so many out there that are oblivious to the dangers of the dark side, even in the what you thought was a sweet book, movie, etc... Be very Watchful!!
    Great Post Roxy!!
And Thank You for being an obedient daughter of Christ!
    Love You,
    Amy

  8. What a WONDERFUL post!!
I could not have said it better.
I have often wondered if anyone feels the same way I do. I guess the answer is "yes".
My husband works with young men and women in treatment for drug and alcohol abuse. He has been working with them for years. Their lives have become unmanageable. One of the first things they must do in order to recover is to clean house! Your day to day environment is the very foundation for success (or failure).
I am so lucky to have been raised by Christian parents and grew up in a Godly home and Church. My parents made sure I had a strong moral foundation.... that has served me well over the years.
I praise the Lord every single day.
    Blessings.

  10. Roxy, so so true, I am in full agreement with you, there are a lot of believers who need to hear messages like this. The pure in heart see God. I am praying and praying that the Lord will continue to reveal this message to our country.

    LOVE YOU!

  11. Roxy,
What a beautiful post and a wonderful reminder of how women of God are supposed to live their lives. A few years ago at our women's retreat, we did a lesson on cleaning the rooms of our hearts...it was very eye-opening.

Looking forward to following your blog :)

  13. Roxy, I agree. We have to be careful of what we bring into our homes. Maybe we need to stop and ask the question, "What would Jesus do?" Thanks for sharing with SYC.
    hugs,
