Why We Must Live One Moment At A Time...

Living In The Moment, Living From Glory To Glory Blog...

And This Too Shall Pass...

It does seem like we can spend a lot of time waiting for

 either something,to happen or to just waiting to get it over with!

Living in limbo and not living in the present is not realistic.

And it will cause you to miss those moments of life!

God does speak to us in those  little everyday moments!

I have always loved the saying being in the right place at the right time!

So if I am always trying to be in a different time space,

I would miss these moments!

Finding myself in the here and now and engaging it properly.

Moments and days and seasons will pass quickly enough.

And there is no way of retrieving those lost portions.

New Age philosophy wants to make the statement

"Living in the present"

Their motto; I don't think so!!

Because every moment you draw a breath its a gift from God!

Don't focus within, focus on God and His Glory.

Now, I am not saying to not look forward to things to come;

But rather don't hurry through the here and now!

Learning to appreciate each moment as it comes;

Some moments are beautiful,

Some moments are sad,

Some moments will change your life forever...

Blessings to each and everyone of you!

Hope your inspired for even a moment!

  1. So true, Roxy. If we don't do as you say, we'll miss much of our lives on this earth. Not a good trade-off. Of course, I always like to have something to look forward to on my calendar~schedule. 🍂

  2. Dear Roxy...Jim is at deer camp, and my sister is staying with me this week. We were just talking about this subject today!!! Living each moment to the fullest, and leaving the future to God. How amazing God is to share this through you, and confirm that Chrissy and I are doing okay in our feelings, and thinking. You are amazing, my friend. I love you, Debbiexo

  3. Living in our RV during this cold weather, I'm trying to pretend that it's an extended vacation. I'm actually enjoying it so far. We've taken all the precautions we can against the freezing and the snow and now we're going to try to enjoy it. We've owned our homes for 42 years so this is a whole new adventure for us and makes us aware that retirement is getting closer and closer.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  4. Amen Roxy, we are to look up.. Looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith!
    We have no promise for the morrow. God says "take no thought (ie dont worry unnecessarily about) tomorrow, for the morrow shall take thought for things of itself, sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."
    Focus right (on Jesus as you say) and it will go aright.
    Thanks for faithfully posting on your blog.
    Thanks for sharing, and may God bless and keep you and all whom you love safe and well.

  5. Ah you did inspire me Roxy! I couldn't agree more with this (but am guilty of losing a 'few' moments in busy-ness and sometimes worry, which Jesus said not to do). Thanks for the timely reminder.

  7. Well spoken...each moment is special and is meant for us to have. Looking to the Lord in all things and in all circumstances. Right now we are snowed in and expecting more snow. Enjoying the time with family cozy in our home.

  10. Beautiful thoughts, eloquently shared Roxy. So very true... a good reminder to enjoy every day to its fullest, with thankful hearts for each cherished moment. I know with the holidays coming up, the days are highly anticipated, and there is always somewhat of a letdown when they are over, for some, but I just try to enjoy every bit of the days, and be thankful for it all. Much love to you!
