Granchildren Our Inheritance

Our precious one!
Here is a sweet picture of our 7th grandchild.
His name is David
He is 4 months old now.
I have yet to hold him in my arms,
For he lives far away from his Grandma and Papa.
He looks so much like his Momma when she was but a baby.
I know that there are many Grandma's who know the heartache
of having their precious grandchildren so far away.
But we as parents all know it it part of our job,
to raise our children to have roots.
Bur also to have wings to go wherever the Lord
leads them.

Unique Days

Live this Day Abundantly

All of our days kinda line up just like this row,
of pumpkins.
They all look alike, but they are all very different.
Look more closely!

May you see all there is to see.
From the rising of the sun, to it's setting in the west.
May the light of Gods word, be illuminated
for you.

Make sure you have enough oil in your lamps,
for today's journey.
May you go about doing, all there is to do.
And in this doing may it all be for
God's glory.

So as the sun sets in the west you will hear,
Well done good and faithful servant.

The wise virgin took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
Matthew 25:4

Aprons And More

Why I love My Aprons

Have you ever just made a wee bite to eat, and
looked down to discover food splattered all
over your nice clean clothes.

I can remember the first time this happened when it just crushed me.
It was Thanksgiving Day,
and I was mixing the gravy and it splattered all over
my brand new top.

Now, my hubby sweetly said why didn't you put  an
apron on??
LIKE ,I don't have ONE!!

Days after a ruined shirt never to be worn again.
I did find an old apron made by my hubbies sister in home economics class
many moons ago.  So I used it as my pattern...
TaaaDaaa!

Now, I have many lovely different fabrics, a few different patters,
but the principle is still the principle.
Why I love my aprons.

More on aprons to come.

The Invisible Man...

A Little Boy In A Tree, Living From Glory To Glory Blog
Seeing dimly?
Sometimes we only see what we want to see.
Other times we only see the shadow of what is there.
I have been praying for my eyes to be opened,
I want to see what God is doing!
One of the things I have noticed all around me is the way people just feel invisible,
they look sad.  And look stressed out, worried, agitated.
Like this world has not been kind to them.
So I have asked myself if I would take the time and smile or nod my head,
to those I pass in my journey this day.
People are feeling lonely and lost!
Let us who know the truth, be the light that can expose the shadow.
The shadow is the fear and loneliness, it seeks ti kill steal and destroy.
So shine on, Be the light!
Try this experiment:
The next time you're out and you see the downcast or hurt,
smile and say hello or just smile...
Do not give people the impression that they are invisible, by not seeing them!

The Republic

Pray For America

A free America this is the republic for which we stand
One Nation under God

I am so thankful for being an American.
God has shed His grace on thee.

We will stand and not fall

We must stand united

Freedom

GOD BLESS AMERICA

If  My people who are called by My name will humble themselves,
and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways,
then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin
and heal their land. 2Chronicles7:14 NKJV

Fears Of Blogging...

I was just frozen with fear!
It came upon me with one little click of a button.
Trying to change my background turned into a
Maiden in distress.
I warned my  Hubby if I start to scream, I have just erased my Blog!
I still don't know if your suppose to remove your old background, before adding the new one.
Can anyone answer this for me?
I fully understand the dangers in Blogging.
I need support.
I must conquer my fears!
Feeling dizzy and weak!
Need nourishment!!!
Now, let me ask you other bloggers out there, before you had 7 zillion followers
Have YOU ever experienced this??
My sweet hubby applied his reading glasses and  tried to help me
Find the answers in my newly purchased Google Blogger For Dummies book.
I really do not know what I did, but my Blog is still alive
.
Blogging has definitely been a learning curve for me!
I have enjoyed having a place to love and encourage others.
May we not be fearful, But rather grow in new skills
And Beyond...

Something Does Not Feel Right...

Mr. Potato Head, Living From Glory To Glory Blog...
Hey Hey, Where's My Feet?

There is just something about this guy:
Mr. Potato Head
Sometimes we can have all the right pieces, but they're just not in the right places,
Or not doing the job they were created to do.
Ever feel like I just can't see it, and it's right in front of your face?

Other times I have to ask,
 What did He say?
I did not hear!!

Ever hear the expression (they talk out of both sides of their mouths)?
Ever wish you had an extra hand? LOL
What is really sad if you don't put your feet into it
 You're not going anywhere.
We got to move it, move it!

The sin of comparing ourselves to others, could possibly turn you into something that
Might resembles Mr. Potato Head.
Now look at him, he was a mess.
Each one should test his own actions.
Then he can take pride in himself, without
comparing himself to somebody else.
Galatians 5:7

Jelly Time And Learning To Can Produce...

Living From Glory To Glory Blog. Learning to preserve foods
A Labor Of Love
My friends and I went to a class last night offered by our Extension Office.
It was on Pressure canning. The do's and dont's.
Wow, did we get checked!!!
Just because it's the way we have always done it does not make it SAFE.
It cost us 5 dollars!
And we all know in today's economy that is a deal.
We all also won a prize, which cost about 5 bucks.
So now the class is FREE.
It is time to learn and to update your knowledge on water bath canning,
And to learn how to pressure can, non acid foods, meat starch vegetables etc.
These old ways of putting up and back is the now new, of how to be prepared in these tough days of inflation in our food cost!
Can I hear an Amen?
What can we expect in the near future in our food cost?
I can make a real good guess...
It's going UP!
I want to know that I am doing something to protect my family when a loaf of bread cost
5 dollars.
Believe me it can happen overnight.
Educate yourself, learn to cook from basic ingredients.
Purchase a cookbook and a canning book!
It is all about having the staples.
Figure out what are the staples your family will need.
Stock up and not out of fear, but pure and simple wisdom!!
Fill your heart and home with the goodness of a
Labor of Love
"By perseverance the snail reached the ark."
By the way this was Plum Jelly and a Harvest Butter in the picture:)

Charming Wash Tubs

Wash Tubs

These wonderful charming wash tubs.
They speak of days gone by,
They were used for children's bath times many moons ago.
Women even used them to do laundry in with a wash board.

As a little girl my Grandmother would fill it with fresh
water every morning in the summer.  And we had our own
swimming pool!

Each one of my own grandchildren have
had the memories of a good time and summer fun
in their own tubs.

Making memories!

Take the time to have fun...

Spend time with those you love...

Sit at the Fathers feet, and thank the Lord above.
For time with your children is short, like a blink...

Days gone by, only memories!

Midlife crisis is that moment when you realize your children
and your clothes are about the same age.

Blessings, Roxy

Amazing Days Are Coming

A Day To Remember

This was an amazing day.
We took a drive to meet some friends for dinner, at a wonderful mountain restaurant.
The drive was so refreshing, and cool. Every mile higher brought relief from the blazing heat.
Higher and higher till our ears popped.
Cooler and cooler the temperature kept dropping!

Nothing like great food and best friends!
Danny and I picked pine cones because they were so pretty, and smelled wonderful.
Maybe I can find a craft project for fall or Christmas to use these treasures in.

God is amazing in how He orchestrates our lives with His body of believers.
We ran into our other great friends while up there, and we all got together  in our friends cabin. and we had the most powerful time in prayer and worship.

We had church folks!
His Presence just flowed over us!
God is taking His people to new heights.

Keep looking Up for His redemption is Nigh.

Were going up, now is the time to see higher.
Think higher thoughts.
Hear in the Spirit.
He has great things in store for His children.

Energized

Energized By The Spirit

The last couple of months have been very still and quiet.
Be still and know that I am God!
We are in a holding pattern.

Waiting for His timing.
We are in the process of adopting sisters.
Waiting to find out if we are a good match!
God's Will Be Done

To be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man.
Ephesians 3:16

I love to sit at His feet drink the cup from His hand and breath.
Feel His heart beat!
Fellowship
Presence
Brings:
Peace
Joy

I have learned to read and study God's Word Daily.
For it is the substance to sustain.
Everything is subject to change, but He changes not!

Taking time to be with Him!

Comfort and Joy

Comfort and Joy

When the snow is blowing and the wind is whipping, it is a great comfort to sit and warm yourself in front of the wood stove.

Once again we can take this time of year and remember not everyone has the means to stay warm and have shelter.  A good hot meal is still a luxury for many. There are so many in need of assistance, and we all should give a helping of love and substance.

My little children let us not love in word or tongue, but in deed and in truth.
1John 3:18

When you feed the hungry.
Love the orphan.
Or take care of the widow.
You do it unto Me (Jesus)

Merry Christmas

Cozy Kitchen

Feeling Cozy

I have a warm and cozy kitchen, it has sunflowers and rooster decor.
It's a feel good kinda kitchen.
Teapot is always ready to have a cup of tea.
Just turn it on and tea time.

My friend Missy just introduced me to my new favorite tea.
Irish Breakfast
She gave it to me with a lovely tea cup.

My friend Ava gave me a surprise Birthday Party
And I must say I was surprised!
I truly felt honored and loved.

Have you ever heard of the orphaned spirit?
Well I can tell you I will never feel that ever again!

Loving others and showing honor really pleases the Lord.
Feeling warm and cozy and loved it what our hearts cry out for.
I thank God for all those women God has given me to share my life with.

We must keep ourselves in the position to minister.
Atmosphere is really something we can do in our homes.
Creating an inviting place to rest and relax.
The kitchen is the heart of the home.

Blessings to all!

Occupy Till I Return...

Preoccupied
OR
Occupy till I Return

So much is going on in the world, yet we cannot be taken off course.
We are called to run our race.
It is a race of endurance.
God is the same He never changes.

Riots in the streets, people crying out for justice.
Will this get worse?
I know, let's all just pretend it's not happening!
Open your eyes people.
The change is coming!

Perilous Days

You hear people all the time saying how busy they are
 I don't have much time.

Busy Busy Busy

"What Be Still"

So many books to read.
Did you see that new movie?
Are you busy every day of the week?

Maybe we are just a wee-bit preoccupied!
Ask yourselves,
Do we often become preoccupied with the circumstances?

Being occupied till He returns is His idea.
What does  being occupied look like?

Being about My Father's business!!

Blessings,
Roxy

Pumpkin or the Jack- o'- lantern?

Harvest

What will be harvested from our days here on this earth?
Even a pumpkin can produce more of his kind (if nonGMO)
Pulp that produces luscious bread or muffins.
Seeds to enjoy and snack on.
Fruitful life!

OK mind my own business (Not)
Why would anyone take a wonderful beautiful pumpkin,
and carve it into a face or design.
What lies behind this ritual every October 31st?
Google it my dear Watson!

I know I will hide my identity.
I will dress-up and Who will not recognize me?
Evil and scary is the new cool
BOO!

The spirit behind this is not just fun, but rather fear.
Also, I believe it gives way to more of an interest in occult practices.

Want candy?
Kids just wanna have fun?
Everyone does it!

I have prayed about putting this post up and I felt a huge opposition!

The Word Of God says to stay away  from even the appearance of evil.

I will trick you if you don't treat me.

Harvest should be the time of the pondering of the fruits of the spirit.
Not witches and devils and bats and cats and ghost.
Come on people!
We are called to be separate from the world, not join in to all their occult interest.
Harry Potter
Movies of just plain evil and demonic.
Wake up America this stuff is real not just make believe.
OK I feel better!
God loves us and what we do and what we participate in will effect you and your children.
Now if you have God's blessing in this  (please disregard).

jack-o'-lantern= The carved pumpkin may have originated with the witches' use of a skull with a candle in it to light the way to coven meetings.
(probably a good witch)

Look Up

Look Up For Your Redemption Draweth Nigh
Luke 21:28

The sky has just been amazing with all the open portals, like at any moment the Lord would just appear.
And one day He will.
What if an Angel came to you and told you that even now, the Lords return was near?
That the trumpet of God was at the lips!

Would it change the course of your day?
Would you fall on your face and repent?
Would you cry out for God's mercy?

There is still time!
The doors have not closed.

But I do believe that the supper for the Bride is being prepared.
Come to the feast of all feast's!

Take this time and judge yourselves.
Do Not Just believe what you have been told.
Search the scriptures.

The last time the Lord used water to destroy the earth but the next time it will be fire.

Fire represents purification.
There will be a new heaven and and new earth.
The old will pass away.

"Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory"
Luke 21:27

Are You Ready...

Kingdom Food

Remember the last financial crisis?

It was the worst since the last great depression of 1929.

Alan Greenspan, former head of the US Reserves, made a statement saying:
The average person doesn't believe it will happen again.

We as human beings just believe we will continue and presume all will stay the same.

Not, I said the wise woman!

Assuming that things will continue as they always have;
 Is not just
21st-century-type thinking.

Jesus said,
He would come back, but the people continued living in disobedience as
Though He would never return.

But His delay is only because of God's patience with us,
for He is not willing that any shall perish,
But all should come to repentance.  (2Peter 3:9)

It is just plain wise to have a little food put up and put back.
I call mine Kingdom Food.

Birthday Surprise

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
HOW OLD ARE YOU?
50

We celebrated Danny's 50th birthday.
With a surprise birthday party.

He is finally 50 and now I will be 55.
Now I thought we would be senior citizens together!
How come I am always older?

Friends are family you choose for yourself.

It takes a long time to grow an old friend.
We had a wonderful group picture taken just as the sun was setting.
But with everyones camera but mine. (WHAT)

Energy

Revive Me according to Your Word

I have been feeling very tired and worn out lately.  So I have decided to

add a few supplements to our daily diets.
Here is a list of them.
Brewer's Yeast
Royal Jelly
Lecithin Granules
Emergen-C  (Heart Health)

My hubby and myself are going to keep this up for at least 30 days.
We both take a multi- vitamin source daily, but we both felt the drain lately.

I start a new Bible study tomorrow.  And we are still canning!
Fire wood will be next on the list.

I just hope this will encourage even just one person as to feeling
tired or just worn out.
And to think Labor Day weekend is here!
Where did the summer go?
She watches over the ways of her household.
And she does not eat the bread of idleness Proverbs 31:27

How To Increase

He who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.
Proverbs 11:25

When I read this scripture, it tells me there is a way to become refreshed and revitalized.
These our the days of anticipation!
What is coming!
Why is this happening?

How to be an overcomer and not just a survivor in your life.
To receive we must give.
To accumulate we must scatter.
To make ourselves happy, we must make others happy.
To become spiritually strong, we must seek spiritual good and growth for others.
Our real refreshment and strength come when we exercise the love and giftings
God has given each of us  for others (orphans, widows, the lonely).
The refreshing of others brings humility.Grace comes when we show grace.
Love comes when we show love.

Therefore, "give, and it will be given to you.
A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over"
Luke 6:38
We had a earthquake in our region the other day and a after shock at midnight last night.
Yet, we must not be shaken as the world is tossed to and fro.
Blessings, Roxy

Sober Minded

Gird up the loins of your mind.
With all the reports going on in the whole world, it could fill your mind and heart with fear.
I don't want to stick my head in the sand and be unaware of the troubles.
For when we hear about wars or rumors of war, and when we hear a bad reports,we can pray!
We must have compassion and let our gentleness be known to all men.

It is time to be" sober minded"
To think and meditate on these things:
What is true and noble, think on just and pure motives.
May your heart and mind engage on whatsoever is lovely,
and things of good report.
Meditate on things of virtue and praiseworthy thoughts.
Philippians 4:7-8

Pray Dear Ones!

Take Action

This is a continuing thought of my last post.
Now these here young warriors, our practicing and doing what they know to do to be good soldiers.
Definitely not from a wax museum.
Alive and ready to implement the plan of strategy.

O beloved, I plead with you not to treat God's promises as something to be displayed in a museum but to use them as everyday source of comfort.  And whenever you  have a time of need, trust the Lord.

Go to the depths of God's promise,
And claim whatsoever you will;
The blessings of God will not fail you'
His word He will surely fulfill.

Church or Museum

A house of prayer?
Or a museum?

The answer to both questions is YES. Because many years ago this church was filled with people. And they prayed and the Word says there prayers shall not return void. Answered prayer it is a promise. Many years ago the churches were built with such a distinct way that just beckoned you to come in. There were churches in all the small American towns. They doubled many times for the school house the town hall. My that would cause a lawsuit today.
Like this beautiful old church may it stand for a very long time, as a reminder of to each of us to pray and to never give up. God has blessed this nation and He created this world.
May our prayer life and our family's not look like part of a museum. But be alive and overflowing with hope.
The Lord has said to occupy until I return, keep on keeping on!
Blessings, Roxy

Vessel

Being a vessel !
We are given each day as a gift.
We can yield ourselves to the Lord and allow the Holy Spirit to fill us afresh.
I am learning each day to hear His voice with more clarity.

I am convicted to see if there is any false belief system in my life.

Will what I believe, hold up under a strong North wind? (Song Of Songs 4:16a)

Is my foundation totally built on The solid rock?

JESUS CHRIST

I love that the lover of my soul teaches and corrects me each step of this walk with Him.

We are the Bride of the lamb that was slain.

He is coming one day for His Bride.

This picture I took, it is of a pitcher which is a vessel to be used, to be poured out.

And the apple speaks of His fruit in our lives, we can all nourish someone with His substance He gives us. We must choose to spend time with Him so we have something to give.

You can't give what you don't pocess!

Filled and Over Flowing And Being Prepared...

Living From Glory To Glory Blog

Storms In The Heavens

We must work and prepare while it is yet day.
The Lord has been prompting me to do some things, to prepare for troubling times.
It seems like a wise woman would see that the days ahead could be difficult ones.
It is a season to prepare and put-up and put back!

Be smart and savvy and look for bargain's.
Stock up on the things that will go a long way!
Beans and rice...
Flour and sugar...
Oil and salt and baking powder and baking soda
Noodles and baking mix for pancakes

~All in large quantities~
Tuna and canned foods with long shelf life.

Date all foods and rotate them as needed, but replace promptly.
Fear not, but let us not be caught without.

A cold drink of water given in Jesus name, or a meal served to someone who may be found hungry
It is our responsibility to take care of the orphans and the widows.
More to come on this subject as the Lord leads me!

Blessings,

Welcome Home

Baking Bread

This was such a fun day we made a ton of bread dough. We first grounded up fresh wheat and got to experience dough up to our elbows. Then we made up some flat bread. It was so good and we had a ball. We really enjoy getting together and doing some sort of project.

We think of bread as a vital substance of life. Yet the word tells us that man cannot live on bread alone but every word that proceed out of the mouth of God.

I want to encourage so many of you ladies out there to nuture your friendships that have been given to you by God. You know they are a gift to you and He expects us to to take time for them and to love them.

I was thinking the other day about a thing we may do and not realize what it should mean. If you have a welcome mat or a welcome sign at your front door entry it might be a good idea to ask yourself does this really apply here?

WELCOME

To feel loved and appreciated. Given a good smile and hug. Ask if they would like something to drink, offer a snack or a meal. Hospitality is a sign of a gracious women.

I want to thank all the women who have offered a real WELCOME to others .

GOD BLESS

Take time to thank God for the frienships He has given you!!

My Mother

My Mother was a very strong woman, her life was not easy. She had five children, and she kept a clean home and there was always a wonderful supper prepared. Her name was Mary Ellen.
She did come to know the Lord later in life, but I think even when she was a young women she knew of God. I want to take this moment to say to the world I loved my Mother and I miss her so much. I know I will see her again when the Lord calls me home.

We as women need to encourage and help one another, we are all sisters and Mothers and aunties, and daughters, wives and Grandmothers.

May we as daughters of Zion take care and nourish and encourage one another to keep our homes and lives and families whole and strong and safe. Home is where the heart is.

Mother and Child And Set Apart...

~I love this picture it makes me happy every time I look at it~

It reminds me of what is really important...
The life of each and every child, Has a God given purpose and plan and destiny
Prepared before the foundation of the world;

The word of the Lord says
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations." Jeremiah 1:5

Now just think about this for a minute (the nations) is our own back yard.
So each of us and all of our children and our grandchildren, have this same call.
The children of God are set apart...

The purpose: to speak life and truth, pray for hearing ears, then to obey what He has asked of you.

Now, I want to say that this lovely picture was a gift to me, from my friend Pam
And she is a talented artist.
This is only one of her many God given talents!! Thanks Pam

Being Prepared...

Being Prepared...

We are living in some pretty perilous days, wars and rumors of wars!
Sound familiar?
I want to encourage each and everyone out there to think very seriously, about how well prepared you are for a winter storm or drought?
Or how well prepared are you for even a small natural disaster?

We would be wise stewards if we would be prepared to feed and take care of our families if something should happen.
Walmart is not our provider and we should not look for it to even care
about what we might need in days of woe.
We should learn something from a generation gone by
as to what a family had and put up or put back.

 Being prepared
PANTRY PREPPERS

I was watching the birds this morning and they were out there just looking for food
and coming in huge flocks to eat from our bird feeder.
And I said even the birds know when a storm is coming!
It has started to snow and wind is blowing, the birds are hunkered down for the night.

I think being a wise woman requires us to be prepared for,
Unemployment situations, storms, hard times!
Be not foolish, but build a pantry stock to provide for your family...

Be A Pantry Prepper...

Picture Perfect And Pricless...

Living from Glory to Glory Blog

But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.
 Psalm 4:18 KJV

Beauty and worth are really in the hands of your Creator.
God sees each and every one of us as a masterpiece. A work of art!
Some things are timeless, like a string of pearls.
Or maybe a picture that was painted that spoke a thousand words.

My Bible is that to me, I have been reading it for years,
Yet, each morning it speaks fresh and living words to me.

This is a very precious plate with a lovely lady painted on it.
It was my Grandmothers I always thought she must be a princess.
This is how God sees us! (Priceless)
To be spiritually minded and full of Christ is the best beauty treatment I know of.

Knitting Adventure And How I Learned...

Living From Glory To Glory Blog
Well, I just woke up one morning and I said I want to learn to knit!!

So I took myself to the library and I said there must surely be a book for Learning to Knit
 For Dummies.
Guess what, there was, I brought it home and with great gusto and determination,
 I had at it...
I finally finished my very first scarf, it is warm and cozy.
I really did take the time and took out all my mistakes as I went.
I also purchased my very own book on knitting.
I did attend one little class on learning to knit and my homework was to knit a dishcloth!
This has been fun yet a new challenge.

I hope to learn to read the directions for patterns and to be able to knit mittens for my little people, and scarfs to match.
I was just really surprised to discover how relaxing knitting really is!
So all you yoga fans drop your stance and pick up your knitting needles.

I think it has been great fun to learn to knit, but I think I still enjoy
Crocheting a little better!

Which do you enjoy doing?

Hearing Ear...

Hearing Ear, Living From Glory To Glory Blog

These our some words I have been seeing in the Word that inspired me!

Blessings
Storm Warnings
Come away My Beloved
Peace Be Still
How Sweet It Is
Harvest
Come, Come
Wait For They Shall Surely Come
Seek Ye First The Kingdom
Watch
Hold Fast
Preparations
Set Apart
Quietness
Justice
Trust

Light is sown for the righteous, And gladness for the upright in heart.
Psalm 97:11

Cowboy-Up...

Living From Glory To Glory Blog
Ready and willing is what this guy is saying!

Be prepared is his motto...

We can dress the part and be just about anybody now a days.
I was just thinking about how the Lord looks upon the heart and not our appearance
But I do believe we need to be ready to speak the word in every situation.
Even if we don't quote chapter and verse, it is the Spirit who brings life to the WORDS we speak!

We live in the West and there is a code to live by,
 Cowboy Up!!

How ready and willing are you to be used to bless and encourage others?

I know looks upon the heart;
But sometimes we as humans look to others to see if they
Look safe and willing to comfort;
There are so many shady looking characters now days!

I do not want to say that looks are everything;
But they are important in some ways!

Being clean and tidy goes a long ways...

Blurred Vision...

Living From Glory To Glory Blog
Artist Chase, William Merritt

Seeing Clearly...

Are you taking your cue from the status of worldly thinking?
We need a higher perspective; It is all not as it appears to be!
We can stretch a little further and seek the truth about any given
situation that we see going on in our world.
Let's face it;
This World Is a needy Place

Do not go there for sustenance.
Everything in this world is going faster and faster,
Some days it feels like it could spin out of control.
People walk around looking for the meaning of life.
Days are passing in a blur for most.
And we as children of God, do not have to see things as blurred.
God sheds His light on all things, so we can see the truth clearly!

Stop in the name of love!
His Love
If you could just really stop and take a moment to speak words of love and encouragement.
Enjoy the little things in life!
Now is the time...

Live every day on purpose!

Yours, Roxy
