Celebrate Your Special Days...

Celebrations, Living From Glory To Glory Blog...

The glory of Lebanon will come to you, the juniper, the box tree, and the cypress together,

To beautify the place of My sanctuary: and I shall make the place of my feet glorious.

Isaiah 60:13

~Celebrate Your Special Days~

Keep the spirit of hope and giving alive!

Did you know that celebrating Christmas was rejected?

When: during the times in early America!

The Puritans deliberately passed a law

that all must work on December 25.

For a time it literally was illegal to cook plum pudding

Or mincemeat pie!

I have seen a trend of people trying to get away from the commercialism,

Of Christmas and other Holidays.

I can understand a portion of this, but as I see a sadness also.

Because even in the Word we see the special days celebrated!

How we celebrate them can be fitted for each family.

But let us not have each day of the year be just the same.

Look for the little things to celebrate...

A Birthday

A Retirement

A Lunch Date

You don't have to do everything elaborate or costly!

We do not want to lose the joy of accomplishments,

Or to recognize a special day!

This life can become dull and nothing special to look forward to!

We are Blessed To Be A Blessing...

I think of the High Holy Days in the Holy Bible,

They were special and celebrated!

The festival of Lights

Let us make some of our traditions a matter of the heart!

We don't have to do just as the world does;

But do something unique and special...

Let's not become joyless in giving and sharing!

Be mindful and tender hearted!

We all need love and tenderness in our lives!

It's not how much something cost!

It's that you thought enough of someone to give a little something!

Throughout the year, even the Dollar store has cute little things,

That could be given as gifts!

This is just my sediment and way of thinking!

Every day can be a day of celebration...

We know that it is more blessed to give than to receive!

He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord!

Romans 14:6

I have been busy doing little projects that are easy yet keeping me home

Where it's warm and safe.

Living From Glory To Glory Blog

I want to encourage each of you to keep looking up!

Because there is Hope and Joy in everything we do unto God!
Don't be robbed of the little enjoyments given to us!

"Even if it's small be a giver and take joy in it"

As always, Living From Glory To Glory

Be convinced in your own mind!
Ask God what you should do!
But I do take pleasure in celebrating!

The New Covenant does not advocate the observance of any Christian holy days, but neither does it forbid such observance. Romans 14:5 appears to be the guiding principle: “One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.” If a Christian is going to observe a holy day, he/she should be fully convinced that it does not violate God’s Word, that it can be done to the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31), and that it would be spiritually beneficial (1 Corinthians 6:1210:23).

Publishing My 1000 th Post, And My Name In Lights...

Seeing My Name In Lights...

My sister sent me this picture in a frame many, many years ago
It was a Birthday gift!

Today I am celebrating something special and profound to me.
This little post will be my One Thousand post I have written!
I have taken great joy over these little tidbits of my heart to share.

We all have wisdom to share, and thoughts we must ponder.
I have truly seen so much growth in my own life.
Thinking a lot about these couple words and their meaning.
~Strength and Hope~

I believe God does deposit these things daily.
But we must desire them and press into Him for His direction.

Sometimes we just need to shake off the dullness.
We are called to gird up our loins!

I want to encourage each of you with these words;
You're stronger than you think!

When we get weary, we have things we can do!

Sometimes we just need to rest...
Do not become your own taskmaster...
Simplify...
Choose JOY
Be Prepared...
Spend as if every dollar is precious...
Give when you can...

Realize anything you set your hand to can prosper...
But never compare yourself to anyone else...
Do something small, yet do it well...

I am just so amazed how God showed me to take
what He has put in my hand and use it for His Glory!
I believe He gave me the title of my Blog.
~Living from Glory To Glory~

Many thanks for those that visited my Blog
 over all these years!

I always loved the idea of having a Cafe
Of course I would serve teas and scones!

I have met some lovely ladies through the years.
Some have become dear friends.
And all those heart warming comments!
Blogging is a little corner, I have been given to share my heart!

Inspire yourself!
Inspire Others!

Use your One Talent you have been given!
Just don't bury it!!

Here is the gift my sister gave me years ago!

Blessings, Roxy

Keep It Simple and Cozy...

Little Pumpkins, living From Glory To Glory Blog

Don't Be Overwhelmed...

That's easy to say, but doing it is another matter!

This is the beginning of the holidays;

Make some decisions now to really enjoy them.

By doing things in a less extravagant way.

Being intentional and enjoying the process and not

Worrying about the final results.

I for one can say you can stop spending a lot of money,

 and avoiding stress!

Make it sweet and peaceful!

I would rather do one thing well and not try to do everything!

Pick something that is meaningful to you;

And something you enjoy doing!

Make it real...

We do not have to be like the Norman Rockwell paintings!

Realize that so much is commercialized!

Take time and do the little things!

The stores are mobbed!

So many food items may even go to waste!

Don't get sucked into the Insatagram or Pinterest photos and ideas!

Remind yourself, we still may have some very hard times ahead of us!

Stop the crazy train...

Do what is in your heart...

Reserve your strength...

Count the cost...

Will it create good memories...

Will it be relevant in a months time?

Enjoy it with those you love and care for...

~Be Calm And Carry On~

Blessings & Grace

How To Do Ribbon Embroidery And A Little Note...

~Ribbon Embroidery~

I was so happy and excited to learn this really easy and fun way to do embroidery.
It is very forgiving in the way it covers and fills in.
I started with some muslin fabric and some ribbons of lovely colors that are a bit thin.
You will be able to tell quickly, which size needle goes through the fabric.
And also a large eye needle
And for convenience, I bought some iron on transfers of some pretty flowers.

You will really enjoy this and it makes some very pretty gift ideas.

After I was finished embroidering,
I gave it a  finished look by sewing on some lace trimming!
Now, I have a lovely handmade doily...

Dear Readers,
As we can all see things are a bit unsettling.
So now more than ever we must focus on our homes!

Set your hand to projects that will bring you peace for a little
while each day. This will help balance out your heart and mind!

This is the time of year to buy many items in surplus because
of holiday cooking. Look for those deals and put them back.
We need to keep a deep pantry with this economy!

Look through and find things you can repurpose to decorate!

Wash all those warm throws for keeping warm and cozy this winter!

Make small amounts of soups to enjoy for dinner!

Pull out your winter jackets and wash them to freshen them up!

Buy some shoe polish and make your shoes look brand new!

Be wise and put as much back as you can;
Because you could be paying much more very soon!

Clean out your cupboards and organize!

If you can, buy a food saver with the jar attachment,
For keeping dry foods fresher longer!

Don't neglect reading the Word!

Keep taking care of yourself...

~Do not allow the spirit of heaviness to enter your home~

Please know how much we all need one another!
Encourage each other
Love your family
Love your Home

Hugs, Roxy

Speak The Truth In Love...

Speak Truth, Living from Glory To Glory Blog...

~Be Still, and Know that I am God~

Psalm 46:10

Headlines swirl and warnings and predictions blare...
We are living in some scary times...

Even in our text messages to loved ones end with this;
Be Safe...

We hear from each other this saying;
Keep your head on a swivel...

Being watchful and aware of your surroundings is a needed reminder!

As much as we see the day approaching, we can still live in peace.

Can I use my words and my means to support those that stand up for us??
Can I be a voice of reason and also Be Still???

Do you feel we have been told to be silenced in a passive aggressive way?
Well, I feel that they want us to comply and have no opinion at all.
Or, if you do have one keep it to yourself.

And sometimes it is wise to not say anything at all!
Except when we repeat what God says about a matter.

Do you believe that God used men that had a vision for this country
To write out the declaration of Independence and the US Constitution?
It is important to understand they were lead because of Godly influence.
They knew how easily a country could turn into a communist rule.

Do not allow something or someone take away your freedom.

Being a Godly homemaker has allowed me to speak and talk
About the scriptures as they pertain to world events.

Evil tries to disguise itself by saying we know what's best for you.
You will have nothing and be happy...

Even at weddings they use to say if you object say it now,
Or forever hold your peace.
Don't wait to speak truth...
Once a floodgate opens, it's very hard to manually close it again!

~Speak The Truth In Love~

Blessings, Roxy

Red October, Red November...

His Truth Marches On, Living From Glory To Glory Blog

Red October...

I was reminded of that movie and wondered about the

Deeper and true meaning of what was happening in this movie.

So it's about  a product of the Cold War, a prolonged period of animosity between the US and the Soviet Union after WWII. John McTiernan's film adaptation followed in 1990, at the tail end of a standoff that often threatened to erupt into nuclear war
Story by: Tom Clancy

What was the point of Red October?
The Russian submarine captain, Marko Ramius (Sir Sean Connery), defects.
His goal is taking it to the U.S. to prevent the Russians from using it to start
a nuclear war against the U.S.

Okay, so why the interest?
I think it started with the thought of this hope;
May we see a Red Wave in November...

I am so proud of those who have stood up for our constitution!
When I hear people say that they are a constitutionalist,
I am like wow that even has to be a thing nowadays?!
The defense of Liberty was I thought what every American wanted.

I awoke this morning singing this song...
Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord;
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored;
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword:
His truth is marching on.

(Chorus)
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
His truth is marching on.

This wonderful song is called the Battle Hymn of the Republic.
I learned this song in school as a little girl.
Wonder if they're still teaching this?  NOT...

I refuse to lose my Joy in these days of political chaos!

I have taken the time to decorate my home for Fall!
I am buying things to put back in the pantry!
I have been reading some books that were on the Peal Harbor attack.
I have been making smaller portions of our dinner meals
 To stretch and not waste.

I have been keeping busy!

I truly never understood how people could not see or hear;
When propaganda was being spun over the radio waves!

My Hubby has always said, well if its on Google, it must be true. NOT!
Now, we have YouTube and twitter and local news.

How do you discern between all the information!?
Dig deep, look at their past history!
Look past personalities and look at their policies.

I am a God fearing Woman!
A Homemaker!
A Bride to my Husband!
A New Great Grandmother...

Stand Tall, Fear Not...
Shut out the distractions and Vote God's Heart...

No Matter what they say or what happens;
His Truth Is Marching On!!

Happy Day
Choose JOY

"And thank you for all the many E-mails I received on my last Post"

Blessings, Roxy

There Is A Bad Moon Rising...

There's A Bad Moon Rising, Living From Glory To Glory Blog

There's A Bad Moon Rising

We were just overwhelmed with the Full Moons intensity recently.

There is a sense that has had me very quiet in the last few months.

Some call it the Political Sphere;

Some call it the End Days

Some call it Fear Mongering

Some call it Evil

Some call it Persecution

Some call it...

Whatever you may think of these days we are experiencing;

The bottom line is this,

"A Bad Moon Is Rising"

This (Thing) is trying to control us.

The (Thing) wants to destroy us.

This (Thing) wants to kill us.

You must of heard somewhere on the internet or news,

That they want to get rid of 90% of the world's population.

Now, that must make you feel warm and cozy deep down!    (NOT)...

I heard that Halloween is the second most celebrated season in our country!

All of this makes me want to follow even more the ancient pathways that the

Lord has given us to follow!

There is a plague of death everywhere.

From movies to songs to tattoos, to decorations and jewelry.

So I just wanted to say this, I have nothing in common with what

Is going on in our society.

I want nothing to do with the evil that is being spun on social media.

Or our news stations, or the political bashing.

What was once the agencies that were put in place to protect us?;!

Is now what is being used against anyone who tries to think or speak,

Outside the narrator that is being woven in the minds and hearts of many!

Can you be so easily deceived?

Can you not discern between evil and good?

So, I will say this dear one's, I will continue blogging for those of us

That are like minded and yet are not oblivious of the onslaught.

We will not be overcome by evil!

We will overcome evil with good!

But, Look-Up for your redemption draweth nigh.

Please forgive me for not posting or writing as often,

But I think we can all relate to the facts before us.

Time is so valuable!

And time is accelerating!

So be mindful of what you deem is valuable!

If there ever was a time to give 10% of your time to the Lord;

~The Time Is Now~

Blessings, to those that have read my Blog postings these last 10 years.

Blessings, to those who desire to know the Truth.

Blessings, to those who pray for the Fathers Will To Be Done...

Always, Roxy

Stocking Up On Taters And Dehydrating Frozen Vegtables...

Potatoe A Life Staple, Living From Glory To Glory Blog

Potatoes In Your Pantry

Hopefully you're all very busy stocking your pantry.

Potatoes are a staple in my pantry.

But they have become very high priced.

I have bought shredded frozen Hash browns and then dehydrated them.

My daughter told me to buy the canned ones, as they are easy to fry up,

And to use them in soups or a small batch of potato salad.

Also purchased dried flaked potatoes for mashed taters.

If you have not started your stocking up, I am afraid you will

Be paying a much higher price, so don't wait any longer!

The potatoes  were almost 12.00 dollars a 5lb. bag!!

I will check our local Farmers Market today.

I have pressured canned potatoes many years ago when prices were high.

I think I may be putting some up again.

Do what you can ladies to feel the wonderful feeling of

Putting up the harvest or bounty.

Do you have a dehydrator?

This little machine is a work horse for

Putting up a long term vegetable's.

It's really easy if you buy frozen ones, then put in the dehydrator,

~I have done frozen bags of these items so far~

Peas, Shredded potato, spinach, onions. green beans,

Carrots, mixed vegetables!

Going to get some frozen Kale for soups later to dehydrate.

As you do not have to blanch them.

Then I place them in a glass jar and vacuum seal them for the long term.

But if you just want them for your daily cooking just keep

In a cool, dark pantry and use in soups and stews.

They rehydrate really well, Just place some in a boil and add some hot water.

Dehydrate Store Bought Frozen Veggies, Living From Glory To Glory Blog...

What are you doing to combat high food prices?

Buy on sale...

Buy in bulk...

Buy at least 5 of everything when shopping of even one item...

Build up your Pantry...

Get creative...

Everyone can do something...

I have been so busy putting food for my Family

May you see and Feel the URGENCY also...

As always Living From Glory To Glory

Pray for Our Country

Prepare For Hard Times

Is Fun working on Your Pantry...

Tell me are your eyes open or are you still sleeping?
