The Beginning Of Wisdom
Happy New Year
2013
My sweet hubby got home this morning and he
said you want to see something really cool?
I said yes, and he said follow me.
We went outside in the freezing daybreak.
A light
cover of frosty snow on everything.
He pointed out into the eastern sky, and to
our amazing eyes was the most
magnificent rainbow.
Now that was a sign from the Lord:
For this was a very personal message to us.
When we were married 30 years ago,
we chose the rainbow as our symbol
for our wedding, and our vows.
I believe God allows us certain sweet signs to encourage us!
Now what better sign for Him to give us to see on
January 1, 2013
But a rainbow!

Hi Rox,
ReplyDeleteI love that you got a beautiful rainbow this morning; that is wonderful. We got one several weeks back, and it just really stood out to us too.
I love the quote "Dwell in possibilities"... that is good; we should always keep our sense of "expectation and possibilities". I was going to comment on your previous post... but thought I would just comment on it here.. I love the inspiration and encouragement of your list. It just blesses me (with possibilities he he). What a great word of encouragement. I think I will wash this mask off my face (yes, I am sitting here with a mask on)... get my shower, put my chicken on,the stove and then come up and re-organize my desk a little. It is all just clicking into order. Love it. That was a great little chat we had last night, and so nice to catch up. Have a wonderful New Years day.
Love you
Pam
Wow, that's just amazing Roxy! It's so nice to know that God gives us those glimpses of his love. What an amazing thing to witness, it's like a quiet moment with your heavenly father. I think this new year is going to bring alot of people to their knees. Hold onto your faith and step out and be just a "little" bolder!
ReplyDeleteThe possibilities are endless if you walk with Christ!
Love it! And, Love you!

Such a beautiful story. A rainbow has a very special meaning for me as well. When I was growing up I was very close to the mother of my friend. She was really like a second mom to me. Hilda was a wonderful loving woman full of life and enthusiasm and full of the spirit. One of her daughter in laws was from Port Townsend, WA. Hilda often told me of the beauty of that small Pacific Northwest town and how she hoped to retire there one day. About a year after I moved to Idaho my husband took a trip to Seattle and drove over to Port Townsend. We drove by Discovery Bay and saw a beautiful double rainbow. I immediately thought of Hilda. When I got home, there was a message for me that Hilda had died. I truly believe that the double rainbow was a message to me. God's love has no bounds.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year my friend!!
Big Hugs,

The rainbow...such a beautiful sign of promises made.
ReplyDeleteYour sweet encouragement from the Lord encourages me! I love it! Can't wait to see what God has in store for you all! I'll be back hopefully soon in the next couple of weeks. Xoxoxoxo
ReplyDeleteThis is a sweet story and a testimony to your 30 years of marriage. Yes, God often gives us signs. Bless you...praying for you.
