For Every Season Is A Blessing...

The Movie Grease, Living From Glory To Glory To Glory...

I remember watching this scene of this particular movie.
It was many years ago.
It had just come out in the movie theaters.
I went by myself and I was nine months pregnant.
It was hotter then blue blazes out! :)
It was the only place I could find refuge from the heat.
I was about to give birth to my first child.
I was a wee bit scared!
I was challenged with all the thoughts of becoming a mommy.
And a bit afraid of giving birth also.
So I remember this movie well,
But it is this scene that I loved best!
Sometimes when we are with all the people we are used to
being around we can act a certain way.
But, it is when we are away from all expectations and duties,
is when matters of the heart can be brought forth.
We as woman desire love and commitment.
Because that is the way God made us!
May we take the time to reminisce of our hearts to love.
Our marriage.
The giving birth to our children.
Summer memories.
The milestones you have passed.
What the future still holds.
August is a special month for me, it holds sweet memories!
But, I can say every month has special meanings,
For to every season is the blessings, He has planned for you there.

May your love never grow cold!
Love is the one thing that will give life!

Blessings Always,
Roxy

  1. I love how movies or songs can bring up memories from where we were, long ago. I have dim memories from that movie as well--a date with someone I can hardly even remember now. ha. Enjoy your August--it sounds special!

  3. Isn't it great how a picture or a smell can bring back some of the best memories??!! My hubby and I were married 37 years ago on July 31st and it seems like it is taking me forever to be a real Proverbs 31 wife, but I am trying. Thank you for your thoughts - and thank you for your kind comments on my blog also!

  4. Hi Roxy,
How true it is that when we are with our family, we have a tendency to act a certain way. Sort of in a rut at times and don't really tap into the love or memories that bring forth the joy others may find in our company. Interesting that digging into our hearts will bring that forth.
I took your suggestion and added BlogLovin to my sidebar. Hope you stop back and follow.
    Blessings,

  12. Hi Roxy, I remember that movie, too. I was in high school. I think it was the summer before I met my husband, if I remember right.

We were high school sweethearts and dated almost 5 years before marrying.

    It's been 27 years now!

  14. This is lovely, and so is your blog! Thanks for stopping by mine :)

I think it's so important to take time to remind ourselves of those things that matter most in our lives, and to focus on them--family. friends. especially our spouse. It's those things that are eternal treasures.

  16. Sweet post Roxy. I love every season. The actual changing of the seasons as well as the seasons in life. Love being a newly wed, a young mother, a middle aged mother of teens, and now a granny. Life just gets better and better! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
