  6. Good morning, my dear Roxy! My sister and Grandpa also has a birthday in November so this month is filled with the births of three wonderful people. Your apron is beautiful and the fabric is very feminine :)

What do I love about being a homemaker? Many, many things, but a couple would be having my husband come home from a long day at work and noticing how clean the house is - he always gives me a heart-warming smile and says, "Wow Peaches, the house looks and feels wonderful! Thank you for cleaning." And then another thing I love is being able to cook my husband and son's favorite meals - they light up like sunshine when the see they get to eat something they enjoy.

We are so blessed to be homemakers :) Thank you, friend, for this delightful giveaway and may your birthday month be FULL of rich blessings.

  7. Dear Roxy, what a lovely and generous giveaway. I wish you a Very Happy Birthday! I love making good, tasty meals for my husband, and being there on the phone for my children to talk and encourage them. I love the peace and quiet of the days, slower paced, and time to talk to my Heavenly Father all through the day

I enjoy holidays as the homemaker. I love the decorating, setting the mood in the whole house to anticipate and celebrate the season. Thanksgiving and Christmas are my favorites, with all the colors and smells and candles!

  12. This is so, so sweet Rox. I would love to have an apron of yours, it is one of my favorite things, but because I have already been blessed with a couple, I won't participate in the give away either, it wouldn't be fair. But what do I love about being a homemaker? I love creating a safe, beautiful, cozy environment for my family;a haven for family and friends.
    Love and Blessings,
    Pam

  14. I came over to visit you from Pam's and I am blessed.
First I wish you a very blessed and Happy Birthday. How sweet of you to do this for someone else in your special month! Smile
I love....when the look in my family eyes is there because of Christ who is the one in which I serve to do the things I do. I am personally blessed to be a stay home Momma to 8, a wife of a man who lives to follow and serve the Lord, when I know they are pleased and I am the one who God has put in their life to make a home a place to be....how could I ever not be blessed? I have so prayed that the Lord would allow some sisters like you in our area that are there to help...encourage, build, teach, direct in the 'path' we are to go....so I am thankful for all of you that I am learning from through blogs!
Have a blessed day & yes....now you can find you on my blog!

  15. Hello!
I am 12 years old, and i love cooking meals for my family, entertaining unbelievers and watching my father share the Gospel with them and i love tidying and looking after my 3 younger siblings at home.
I cherish my mother for she is such an example to me and i cry with her when she is sad and i laugh with her when she is filled with joy. I love her so very much and i desire this apron above all things to give to my mother, she does have a few clothing , but they are worn out because she doesn't have an apron and my family cannot afford one.) So my mother would cherish the apron and it would be such a wonderful suprize for her. I think she is going through a difficult time at the moment, and my father and myself are trying our best to help her through it. she is very resourceful, kind, helpful, serving, gracious, and very serious about the Word of God. To help our family's income come along a little so we can afford more things, she sells beautiful Scripture Jewelry from Israel here: http://www.womenabiding.com/scripture-jewelry/
so, all that to say, that is a beautiful apron, and i would so much appreciate it as a little gift from me, and little girl of 12 to my wonderful mother, who is an example to all, and who needs to know she is greatly appreciated.
thank you for your time in reading this humble comment.
    Yours with blessings,

  17. I love homemaking because...

It is such a blessing to have a home to make, even if we don't own it.

I realize that being home with my children is a great privilege.

I love knowing that I'm here for my husband and kids whenever they need me.

I answer to my God and my husband.

I can take time to "carpe diem", sieze the day, whether it be checking on the groundhogs at the corner, stopping when we see elephants outside at the circus' out of season barn, watching a plane land at the airport in the next town, or just stopping to see a bug or flower or whatever my kids are excited about.

I get to be here to help my children learn new skills, like cooking!

I thank God I can be a homemaker, wife, and momma.

    Blessings,
    Laura

  18. Happy Birthday....I never planned to be a domestic engineer ( stay at home mom) But then I had 3 children all a year apart and we couldn't afford day care.. Then I realized that this was God's plan for me.. And the rewards of staying at home and watching my children's first steps and then being a room mother...When my kids were teens and I was going to work they asked me not to.. They wanted me home...I think it was because they would forget things and I would take whatever they forgot to school so they wouldn't get a zero on their papers... :) If I had to do it over, I would do it again in a nano second......I loved watching them soar....Lisa

  19. Happy Birthday! My birthday is also in November. I love making my own schedule. If I need a rest, I take one. If someone needs a visit or a meal, I am available. I also like a place for everything and everything in its place. Being a homemaker allows me to enjoy the creativity of this simple thing.

God bless you and your new year.

  20. Well, I'm not a homemaker yet, as I'm still just dating my boyfriend, but I love cooking for him and us sitting down to eat a meal together!

  21. Hi Roxy, the apron is so beautiful. Love the fabric! I have never wanted to be anything more than a homemaker. Yes, I have worked out of the home from time to time when needed. But there's no place like home! My favorite things are to decorate my home and make others feel welcome. And the kitchen is the heart of the home. Love having family over and sharing a meal!
Thanks for offering this sweet give away.
    hugs,
    Jann

The apron you have sewn is very lovely, but no need to include me in the contest, as I have quite the collection of aprons already. : )

  24. Hi Roxy,
Your apron is very pretty. I so like feminine fabric. I have just started wearing aprons and feel so good in them. One thing I love about my home is when it is clean and tidy for unexpected guests. I enjoy feeling that anyone can visit and my spare bathroom is always ready for use with nice soap and towels and often a nice vase of flowers on the vanity. I think this says welcome so well to my visitors. I live in Australia so might not be eligible for your apron draw but that is fine with me. I do enjoy your writings.
    Blessings Gail.
