Gathering Rose Petals...

Gathering Rose Petals...

The Roses are still blooming, so it is a good time to
Gather the Rose Petals...

Living from Glory to Glory Blog

This winter you will be so glad to have some rose petals put back
 for making some gifts! Or just for your own pleasure!
They always look so pretty in a bowl or on a pretty plate.

Dear Sweet Ladies, I have a confession to make!
I am a homemaker who loves her home!
I do not desire to travel and see the world?
I can stay home all day with no inner urge to just get out of this place...
I can clean my kitchen and not get irritated that I will be,
messing it up very shortly with the next meal.
I have come to realize there is no such thing as the last load of laundry.
I am not embarrassed that I do not have a degree.
I use a spell checker!
I have gray hair and my hairdresser knows!
The Lord is my stronghold in times of trouble;
and my help for every minor thing also!
I am simple in most things,
Yet I can think up more rabbit trails, then most!
I want an older pastor to teach me...
I do not want to get to Big for my britches...
So in saying all this;
I will stop to smell the Roses, while they are still blooming;
and not wait until.
 All I have left are the petals!

Thank you all for being my friends via
this blog...

  1. I love the title and lovely photos you shared Roxy! :) And I love being a keeper at home as well... Though I don't use a spell-checker, I don't have a degree and have never been embarrassed about that (I am constantly feeding my mind with books, perhaps I will prepare myself one, hee, hee :). And I have some grays too... though my husband (and also my hairdresser) knows this as well! :)

  2. I love our little place as well. I've had more education than most, but fortunately it hasn't interfered with my learnin'. My spell checker works overtime too.
    All in all, I think life is a gift.

  3. I enjoyed your post, Roxy.
    I find we are a lot alike. :-)
    I too enjoy my home, cleaning my kitchen just to use it again, I have a load of laundry every day and it is just my husband and I. My hair is gray and I LOVE it!!
    I never even finished high school so am very thankful for spell check. :-)
    And do I ever go on rabbit trails!
    As I grow older the simple things in life are sweeter and sweeter.
    The Lord bless you, Debbie

  4. I love this post, Roxy and I love Debbie's comment too. I have had gray hair for years...love my home and have no desire to travel. My kitchen is my pride and joy and I never tire of making it sparkle. I've spent most of my adult life as a caregiver for loved ones and am so thankful for the time I was blessed to care for them.
    God bless your day.

  5. Great post, Roxy. We are indeed kindred spirits. I enjoy staying home, keeping my home in order, I too use spell check, my hair has been white for some years now and I don't mind at all, I couldn't go a day without my Lord's help. I love Roses and will think of you when I go outside today to smell them!
    Have a blessed day!

  7. This post is the reason I read your blog! It's real and you open up yourself to us by teaching, mentoring and sharing your thoughts.

    I am going to go and pick my roses and keep the pedals as a reminder to be content at home. I want to smell the roses, too!
    (Looks like there are many of us who are Kindred Spirits!)
    God is good!

  10. We are all so different which is makes us all so interesting. I love pottering around my house, I love creating things but I also love being with people, I would love to see the world one day. In saying all of this, I am content in what the Lord has asked me to do.

    Have a lovely day.
