The Voice Of Reason...

Riding Out the Storm

The Voice Of Reason

How can we speak in a world filled with chatter, whispering,

Hurting, judgmental, gossiping.

Everyone is a legend in their own mind...

What exactly is a voice of reason?

: a person who influences others to act sensibly
What in the world do we call the senseless attacks in everyday situations?
Well, definitely not a voice of reason!

I have been quiet lately,
What could I possibly say or write to a people;
Who are living in a time of history that evokes such angry responses!

We are more divided in every fraction of society then ever.
A storm is on the horizon;
We see many that are weary and injured from the unrelenting,
Winds of change, unrest in the raging winds and fire!

We are called to live at peace with others;
The unrest is just not in the natural world;
But the souls of men!

We are called to be humble, and dignified!
Hurting others intentionally is wrong!

If I can not get along with someone; I will try to have the least
amount of exposure to them!
I will keep my myself from vain imagination or lies,

That try to conform me to join their opinion...
Manipulation, I am right you are wrong!

This world is flinging around more information;
About everything, possibly more then any other time in history!

Trust me everything will continue!
We will see judgment or reap what we sow;
A few try to hold back the tidal wave.
But each person will be accountable for their involvement.

Anyone who has lived long enough knows this to be true!
Also we all know that you can do everything humanly possible;
And still see those that choose to do wrong things!

Social Justice
Just another label to right a wrong that will not be fixed on this earth!
Even human judges will be accountable one day!

We are being told we must make room for every belief,
Every evil intent of the heart and to embrace it!

The circle of trust is getting smaller, be careful!
Stay quiet and realize you probably won't be able to change
Another persons opinion!
It is the Holy Spirit who convicts and changes hearts;
And direction in the way it should go...

The atmosphere will eventually clear;
But the damages will leave a scar.

Hiding in the shelter of His Wings,

For one day you may have to eat them"

Thanks Lois for asking about my welfare, very sweet of you!

  2. Well said! My thoughts lately have mirrored yours. Take care, Roxy. We must hang on to Christ with all our might as God judges this world.

  3. I just said this same thing to a dear friend today. We are unable to change peoples minds when they have them made up and are embracing the lies of the world. I have thought about closing my social media accounts or at least no longer visit much but...it's how I keep in touch with family members from far away. To bad the garbage comes in along with what I really want to read.
    May God protect us as we continue to try to live as His would have us live while in a world that condemns us for it.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  4. Hiding is a good word. I feel like I need to hide from a lot of the negativity in our culture and media now. I need to keep positive. I cannot do that with a diet of vulgarity, cruelty, and such that is out there right now.

  5. Thank you for this - it was quite the encouragement for me. I was beginning to sag underneath the weight of it all. No, we cannot change it. I just call out to our dear Father for help, comfort, and for His will and mercy.

  6. Oh so good to see your words of wisdom! I OFTEN have to remind myself that it is the Holy Spirit who must do the convicting and directing, and that I can only speak words of truth - and to do so lovingly. It's hard not to get frustrated with the overwhelming lack of "reason" in the world today. Sometimes I feel like a desk lamp has more rationale than people today. Then, I have to remind myself (I have to remind myself of a lot of things), they are slaves of whom they choose to serve - whether knowingly or unknowingly - and their minds will be guided by that master. Sigh. And, yet, Hallelujah, Christ is still on the throne! He has the victory, and I must rest in that! I would like to see a yard flag that says: "ALL SOULS MATTER. For God so loved the WORLD, that He gave His only begotten Son that ALL who believe in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life!" Been humming this old children's song to myself lately, but not sure if it's "politically correct" -- LOL! "Jesus loves the little children, ALL the children of the world, Red and yellow, black and white, ALL are precious in His sight, Jesus loves the little children of the world." Sorry, this was a looonnng "comment"... maybe just a little excited and encouraged by your post (-;
