Kaleidoscope Vision...

 

~Seeing Life Through a Kaleidoscope~

Our daily lives are a bit like a Kaleidoscope.

It may seem like each day is much the same,

But actually it will be arranged differently,

From the variations of color and proportion!

The same but different...

Maybe we need to pull out our own Kaleidoscope

 And get a different perspective!

We need to find the wonder and beauty in the ordinary!

Each day something is different,

So we get to look at the same thing,

But with a new pair of eyes...

Those that have eyes to see!

Things in this word can seem overwhelming;

But if we will just remember everyone will see things

Differently, and respond not as we would.

The world will use smoke and mirrors to try to hide

What is really going on!

But God will use His Eye

(Or Kaleidoscope)

And He Will Use the Light of His word

Creating and Producing Patterns.

He wants to change our perspective!

Using the mirror of our eyes

~The eye is the lamp to the body. You draw light into

your body through your eyes, and light shines

out to the world through your eyes~

Matthew 6:22

The Kaleidoscope was invented by 

Sir David Brewster in about 1816

Optical beauty using mirrors and light!

May we see Gods Glory

In His creation and in our ordinary days!

You Are Blessed To Be A Blessing...

~Blessed to be a Blessing~

You have a great abundance of something this very day.

Sometimes we may not even be aware of it.

But it is there, because we are being filled daily.

This blessing or abundance is not always a monetary item.

This Blessing you have may have been

 A hard earned sorrow or trouble.

Which is worth much when carried to the Lord.

If we never had the dark night season, we would have

never been aware of all the stars in the sky!

Let me remind you why God blesses us;

So we can be a blessing to others.

He wants us to take that word or smile or prayer,

And use it to open the heavenly angel acts we can do.

Because, God wants to use YOU

We know as scripture says we are his hands and feet!

Every talent we use is multiplied!

If we do not give a portion of what he has given us,

We will become selfish, fat and proud.

There is nothing you have that has not been given,

To you by the Lord...

We are like a basket of plenty, flowing over!

If you give it will be pressed down and shaken together;

And running over.

It's what you have in your heart and at times in your hand.

Give out your best for the Lord!

Give what you can!

We are in this world to be useful...

All of our gifts are given to us to be a blessing,

To others!!

This applies to our family, friends, and even a stranger!

Do not hoard your blessings!

Release them in thoughtful words and deeds!

Trust me these things he asks us to do can be;

The smallest act of baking cookies to share.

Giving money or a life praying for others.

Send a Card, Send a Text, 

Meet a need...

Let us not fail in being a messenger of

His good and perfect gifts!

Sending a Big Hug...

We all need those hugs and encouragement!

The Afterwards...

 

Not until afterwards, will you see it.

We all know hindsight is 20/20

But really it is God working in your life

Every single moment, hour and day in your life span.

In the divine providence of Gods plan;

(I love that word Providence)

In your life, nothing happens in a moment too soon or late.

What comfort and peace we can have if we will just

rest in His timing and know the hourglass is flowing.

Everything comes in it's own time...

God's clock is like the Grandfather clock that stands

in the hallway of time.

On the hour and the half-hour it lets you know;

Time is going around and around,

Every tick-tock fits into the space of God's providence!

~We do not see the providence until afterwards~

Not until afterward, will see that all the disappointments,

the hardships the loses and the infirmities and struggles.

Are all part of God's plan or providence for your life.

Especially those that have hurt you,

 sorrows that about crushed you.

These are actually blessings from God.

Because he knows the end from the beginning.

Keep watching for the afterwards;

It can take years to see the afterwards,

And maybe not even until we reach the other side of heaven.

There really is no End...

We Will Always Be Waiting...

 

We will always be waiting...

Winter always seems longer, when

Spring is right around the corner!

Are you a person who waits with peace and joy?

Have you developed the power of stillness?

"Be still and know that I am God"

Psalm 46:10

Every single day you will have the opportunity

to be patient and still, and to wait...

Waiting is a tool I believe God uses in us too

form Christ in us!

There will be a long line in the grocery store.

You will wait in the doctor's office

You will wait for the pot to boil

You will wait for your first born to arrive

You will wait and wait and wait;

So why not take this God given time to allow Him

To perform a work in your heart!

We wait for every season to change.

We wait for a grandchild to be born.

We wait for a loved one to pass over to Glory.

We wait for pay day.

We wait for a doctor's report.

We wait for something every single day!

"I am waiting for the Lord's return"

~The truth is we can't really hurry up anything~

God's timing is perfect and aligns with everything.

"There is a place of stillness that allows God

the opportunity to work in us, "His perfect peace!"

The striving will wear you out!

Rest and relax in those times we must wait!

Is it easy?? No, but it will produce a silent power

And a submissive spirit within your character!

Allow God to direct all of your days, with patience

and trust!

I so appreciate this season and time of my life;

As I am growing with a few growing pains;

But it's like giving birth, so worth the pain!

Why You Must Keep Your Emotions In Check...

 

Emotions Unchecked

It's a mistake when we think we can let down our guard

and allow ourselves to be blah, crabby, blue

or just an emotional mess!

When I start my day, I can usually tell it's

going to be a push to get out from under a cloud.

It can be a feeling of just not being your chipper self!

I will tell myself...

Girl you better get dressed and put on your

"Garment Of Praise"

So I get busy getting focused and start praising the Lord;

I get my routine warmed up and take charge

~Seize The Day~

Our life in Christ has to be more intentional.

Our family and friends need to see us walking

with Jesus even with the worlds ups and downs.

Be filled daily with the Holy Spirit.

They need to hear positive, helpful wise words from us.

We are not supposed to be empty, cynical, callous

or complaining to those we love,

 Or those we barely know!

I will not take part in this plan to cause

myself to be upset or feeling low.

Because, there is a master plan for me and my life!

Shake it off

Sing

Be Beautiful

Love

Love is the root, good works are the fruit!

Let us consider one another in order to stir up

Love and Good works!

Hebrews 10:24

Lord, Keep me from speaking empty, ungrateful

faithless words...

I so appreciate each and everyone of you that

stops in to read what the Lord has laid on my heart!

I want to be faithful and to love and

encourage others!

I do tell myself once in awhile, I realize I'm

not everybodies cup of tea!

~Orange trees don't have really deep roots,

But typically they can spread far out past the canopy!

This is a song we heard in our Church last night

It was such a powerful blessing!

This might be a sweet way to start each morning with

during this time of the 40 days before Resurrection day!

Fault Finding...

 

Fault Finding

"It starts with a little irritation"

And if you don't act quickly and change the direction of

 that irritation it will turn into a full blown battle.

We are told to take every thought captive.

Our thoughts are either under the control of the

Goodness and Mercy of the Lord.

Or the god of this world.

Now, I know we all can say something stupid,

This happens when we open our mouths

 and speak before we think!

Heck, we all even repeat ourselves.

Or the irritation starts when a person is telling us

the same old story again and again.

What I am wanting to be aware of these annoyances that

they can turn us quickly into a fault-finding mode.

Alas, then a snarky tone arises in your voice,

 then the looks start;

Maybe the eyeballs start rolling

(Inconspicuously of course)

Inside your head your thinking

What, I don't have time for this or not again!

But these situations are actually being used to refine you!

And to teach us Mercy and Grace...

And not being a faultfinding person.

I do not want to be an impatient person

Or an ungodly fact checker;

And may I ask who is going to monitor the monitor?

Ask yourself am I showing no Grace for shortcomings?

Maybe you're in the habit of thinking that my way is always right?

Or the way I do it is the right way!

Can satan hack into our thoughts like a cyberpirate?

I do think he tries to plant things in our thoughts;

That is why we must put barbed wire around

our thinking and our thoughts!!

Don't be a fault finder or an all knowing fact checker...

Jesus said come to me!

So quickly take the time to ask Jesus's to help you

 Overcome this unloving behavior.

Lord set a guard over my mouth and the law of kindness

upon my lips. 

And a covering over my thoughts.

Collecting Happy Memories...

 

Making Memories

One thing I have been keenly aware of is what your mind

can remember from days gone by!

Many days have come and gone, but there may be a little

moment that was just imprinted upon your heart.

And this can be drawn out by a song you hear on the radio.

Or an aroma that reminds you of a special occasion.

I have found as I have gotten older, I have recalled memories

of my childhood that I have never remembered before.

But, just maybe we can learn to savor a moment and tuck away

A memory that will last for all of our days!

Is there some special trick in collecting these memories?

Maybe not, but just taking a breath and soaking in

the sunshine on your face or holding a moment close

to your heart and ask God to help you capture and remember

the day or the one thing that made you happy.

My new hobby will be collecting happy memories...

You Can Create A Loving Atmosphere In Your Home...

 

Love Atmosphere...

We have a supernatural ability to create;

And one of the most important spheres of influence you have

To create a little bit of heaven on earth is in your Home!

We are called to be homekeeprs.

Your home could be spotless, but if theirs contention,

And unkindness and what I just call ATTITUDE

You now have an atmosphere of strife and unease.

We must always be mindful to work on a sweet presence

About just caring and showing interest in those we have been

given to share our lives with!

I think there is a real power behind a relationship

That sense that they are loved and cared for in ways

They just speak volumes, and it's not always in words.

Being tender with others as we are with a newborn baby!

There is enough harshness in this world;

So by setting your mind to always do what you can do,

To have a HOME, filled with LOVE...

LOVE ATMOSPHERE=

Freshly baked cookies

A little note to say how special they are

Taking a walk together

A clean space to read or study

Get off your phone when they get home

Have a plan for a meal

Don't be rude

Speak in a tone that does not cause anger

Choose words that don't accuse

Choose to release a blessing upon them

Rest in God's timing

Don't be a bulldozer

Share the last piece of cake

Your lips are connected to your heart

Listen

Love is the most precious human emotions and is truly

the gem that shines the brightest.

And love is the glue that holds the HOME together!

Mundane Duties Or Loyal Duty...

Being a Good Steward

How do you feel about Monday's?

For some reason it seems a bit harder to get the

body moving and the motivation working.

But maybe I need to look at it a bit differently;

Like I've been given a chance for a new start!

I really don't want to drag my feet and become a whiner!

I need to look at this day and realize I have been given

A mandate that I am responsible for!

I have to ask myself, 

Am I being a good steward of my time?

Am I being Loyal at heart?

I want to use my talents and my skills to bring

Glory to God...

We can become discouraged by what we might call

Mundane duties in our days.

But really think about it,

Are having clean dishes or clean clothes,

Or looking clean and smelling nice not important!?

Or preparing meals that bless and nourish the body and soul!

The Word and good food will bless the Soul!

We have been under a curse of the lie

Nothing Matters;

Well, let me tell you that all you do does matter!!

And everything you do can change the world

And bring Glory to God.

~True faithfulness regards nothing as small or unimportant~

They want us to feel uninspired and to look like freaks.

Don't nibble the bait, spew it out of your mouth.

Shake off the heaviness of the lies.

Rejoice and just get moving...

Because tomorrow is always just a day away!

Are You Suffering From Spiritual Drowsiness...

 

~Spiritual Drowsiness~

Spiritual drowsiness can happen when we are not aware

Of the culture around us is moving so fast toward destruction

And being lulled into apostasy.

Almost like being rocked to sleep.

Or when someone falls asleep at the wheel while driving.

Another example of spiritual drowsiness while in 

Sunday Service, You feel tired and not alert.

Will coffee help?

Maybe, but probably not;

Because we are tired...

Some  people our in the streets screaming and swearing,

And that is even less effective of getting my attention.

It's like the enemy's chatter or what I call

Talking Heads

The Tower of Babbling

It makes no sense...

We must wake-up and ask for clarity.

Gird-up the loins of your mind

Put on your thinking cap

Shake off the lethargic spirit

The real truth must constantly be repeated!

Focus and ask for clarity...

Get off the fence

Set YOUR Alarm

Get-up you sleepy heads

We got work to do today!

Be cognizant of what direction you are traveling in!!

Like the saying: When one is lost while traveling.

"I don't know where I am at, but I'm making good time!"

Love Matters

We have used this word Love so often we can forget the meaning!

We know the word love is a verb which makes it an action.

We need to ask ourselves how we can make this word

~ LOVE~

Alive and practical in our lives

I just wanted to share a simple prayer I pray often:

Father God, I choose this day to be helpful and kind,

Tenderhearted and compassionate.

And to be filled with divine love.

Understanding, loving hearted and forgiving.

And grateful of Gods Blessings and favor.

We can grow in love toward others!

We can speak the truth in love!

You can share the love in a gesture of kindness!

Love is always moving if your heart is tender!

The love of God will compel you to do something!

Love Matters...

Love is a divine seed and it will grow,

But you must tend to the heart of it!

Journaling My Days...

 

Greetings,  

I read something this morning that I believe God had been already 

Speaking to me about at the breaking of this new day.

Don't you just love it when God gives you confirmation,

about something He is doing in your life!

Anyone reading this post can attest of how fast and furious

our days are moving along.

But, I have been staying home these last few years more because

Everything was taking time away of what really mattered;

To me, but most importantly to God 

I stopped Blogging mostly, but I continued to journal my days,

And my thoughts and even some frustrations.

Even crying out to God as the World Turned in my opinion

upside down and in a direction I could not embrace.

So as my Momma use to say;"If you can't say anything nice,

Don't say anything at all"

Or this Blog that God gave me would of turned into a political rant.

~~~~~~~~~~~~

But, I realized the journals were for my personal way of processing.

So, here I am again determined to write to the world and share my

One liners and thoughts and ideas...

It's time for me to get down all my journals and read through them.

I will see what 

has been written in them and share a portion with those,

That just might draw encouragement from it's content.

I hope I can see clearly of some of the gems God has

deposited into me all these years.

Really almost all my life.

We must give if we want to receive, we must sow if we

want to reap!

Do what pleases the Lord!

If you can do nothing but live a true Christian life-

Be Patient, be gentle, be kind!

Pray for others as you walk through this day;

You may be the only one that will pray for that person today!

Sending a big thank-you to anyone reading this post!

It's a shame that our attention span is about as long as

a two year old anymore.

And YouTube is how we get entertained, we need a visual.

But I have realized you will retain more if you will read it.

I thought about starting a channel, but it just didn't feel right.

So I will just continue to journal and write!
