Your Home Will Reflect Your Style And Heart...

Country Charm

I think it is the little things we have in our homes that give it charm.

I know that when I go to a home that has its own unique style,
I like to take notice of what they used and how they have arranged it!

Everything does not have to be magazine beautiful!
But, rather inviting and welcoming!

Many ladies will go through different phases in decorating.
I like changing colors for my curtains and throw pillows.
I also like to change out my rugs!
But mostly, I enjoy changing and rearranging my little things.

I have so many little country and farm looking decor.
The look may be a bit vintage with a bit of country!
I adore classic lace and roses galore.

But a bit of this and that and balancing the colors make it homey.

I am also drawn to birds that just fit in small areas.
A little blue bird and cardinals, and even a few brass ones.

I like to change out table toppings and doilies to freshen up a room!

Your home can reflect your mood and style.
Being aware of keeping things clean and washed like your curtains.
Cleaning and washing the nick knacks can make a room shine!

I enjoy washing the throws and having them clean smelling.
It always feels so nice to climb into a bed with fresh clean sheets!
I will even, in the middle of winter hang our sleeping pillows on the line.
They smell so fresh!

Little home; how I love that you keep me safe and warm.
Cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
I have a place to call my own!
May I always keep you clean and tidy;
And keep you filled with prayers and treasures!
For Home is where the heart is...

Blessings, Roxy

  2. Sweet post, Roxy. Home really is home sweet home if we stop to count our blessings and do just what you said. If we stay off of too much social media and focus on what we have rather than what we don't.

  3. The word visitors always use for my home is cozy. I think it's because we are really tucked in here! We raised 4 kids in our 2 bedroom house. One was nearly on his own when we moved in. The other son shared a room with his sisters until I noticed that his bunk bed would just exactly fit in the back hallway. He slept on the bottom bunk and put his things on a board that we fitted to the top bunk. He lived that way for years then moved to the basement then on to his own home this spring.

It's time I should have the fall decorating done, but I'm just not there yet. My next surgery is the 10th of October, so I need to get it done. I am going to give away some of my decorations this year. It's time to freshen up and lighten up.

Be blessed my friend! I will never forget the phone call when I began all this cancer stuff. It was such a wonderful blessing. We'll have to chat again someday.

    God bless you!

  5. I agree Roxy... I love it when a home is decorated with love and care... just little things here and there that make a home feel special, cozy, and where contentment, joy and peace reign! I have such a tiny home, but its walls seem to expand at times and allow for the many people who pass through it. God takes what we have, and it is enough. Always enjoy visits with you sweet friend! Much love and hugs to you today :)

  6. Hi Roxy, I love that picture of your sweet birds. I too like to see how others live and decorate their home. Probably why I love blogging. How we keep it and what we put in it is so much a reflection of us.
