There Are Real People Behind Blogging...

Living From Glory To Glory Blog

There are real people behind blogging...

I just wanted to share with you ladies my visit with a dear blogging friend!
Her name is Stephanie from Enchanting Rose!

I just feel sometimes we do not see the hand extended to each other through blogging.
We are real people with families and homes that we are called to tend and water!

We are all sowing seeds of either weeds or flowers with our words;
All words produce something;

So may this post about blogging encourage you to try to see the person,
behind the post that are written on our blogs.

This was a powerful lesson that helps us to see that we are really
impacting another person!

My visit with this lovely lady was so precious!
~She has a very cozy and lovely home~
She gives the gift of hospitality and her crafts have inspired so many from her Blog!

We had a delicious dinner and some good laughs!
We connected and found comfort in the memories we were making.
We were able to take a few pictures to share with our other blogging friends!

So what I wanted to say to you about blogging today is this!
You can make life long friendships with some wonderful people out there!
We must remind ourselves that they have feelings and long to be recognized and
Appreciated and to comment on their hard work of writing a post!

The connection is something that we all long for!
And when you find like minded ladies that love the same things you do!
Wow, what a blessing Blogging can become...
Through Blogging you can make friends all over the world!

I appreciate it when we can see the hearts behind the purpose of why we
Write and Blog and Comment!
May your Blog be a source of inspiration to others and to know
That a real connection is in the making!

I realize we cannot spend too much time on the computer as it is not healthy!
We need to learn to do it in moderation...
Keep an eye on the amount of time you spend sitting in front of your computer.
Find a few ladies that you have the same heart and interest and invest in them!
You can be kind to all!

Make a Blogging friend today...

To Many Boys Looking Pretty...

Artist Henry Raeburn

Boys, looking like boys...

But we hear so often the phrase "Pretty Boy"

We are living in a culture where so many boys dress in skinny jeans,
And fashionable clothing!
I think it is rather odd how boys are made to look pretty!
And there is a fashion trend geared toward looking good!

I still prefer a boy to look like a boy;
Seeing Earrings on boys still does not look appropriate
As I have seen very young boys with them...

Boys
Snails and puppy dog tails
That is what a boy should be allowed to do;
We have confusion going on in even little boys' wardrobes.
Nothing wrong for them to look neat and tough and rough;
Little boys need to have the freedom to play ball,
Find roly-polies, and collect rocks!
Play war and ride their bikes like the wind!
Have a good tumble every so often;
Even a good punch in the arm can help them roll with the punches!

Keeping the little boy in a place where they can be in training,
To discover the great outdoors...

Too many of our little boys live in sterile environments,
And sit in front of a video screen!

Be careful to not expect them to be pretty and clean all the time...

Little Boys are not supposed to be dainty and re-fined!

Boys need forts and sand boxes and dogs to play with!
We need to allow them to build things out of scrap wood and fly kites.
They need to have trucks and play guns and books just for boys.

Do not dress your boys like girls
Do not let them have long hair
Do not expect them to act soft and dainty!
Boys will be boys

Unless of course you want a pretty boy'
Most of the ones who have been told so many times how good looking
They were, it has gone to their head!
Some have even grown up to be playboys.
And have made a game out of winning young ladies hearts!

Grow boys and train them to be loyal and strong!
May they grow up learning to honor and to practice diligence in their tasks!
May they be hard-working and able to fix things!

Teach them well as one day they will need to support a family!
Help them to have Godly character...

How To Make A Delicious Dumpling...

Homemade Dumplings, Living From Glory To Glory Blog

~Dumplings~

Ingredients Needed:
2 cups flour
1-1/2 tsp salt
1 TBL. Baking Powder
2 TBL. Vegetable oil
1 egg, beaten
1 cup warm milk
Salt and pepper the tops of them after you drop them in the broth...

Add dry ingredients, mix well in a bowl
In a measuring glass warm your milk, then add your oil and the beaten egg!

Pour this into the dry ingredients, the dough will be a bit sticky.

Now, Drop a spoonful of the dumpling mixture into hot chicken broth;
Cover and steam for about 4 to 5 minutes. Do not allow it to be a roiling boil
 The tops will look cooked and a bit firm after cooking time.

Carefully remove dumplings with a slotted spoon onto a plate with paper towel, to drain extra liquid
Cover in a separate container from the soup or broth, as this allows you to keep them from getting soggy.  These taste yummy warmed up and topped with a bit of butter. Or place in a bowl and add your chicken soup stock with veggies!

 I like to eat them just by themselves!

These are very simple to make and require only a few ingredients!

This was my own version for making dumplings!

I have very fond memories of eating dumplings as a child,
Our Mother made them often for dinner.
It is a nice change from having potatoes or rice all the time!

But I finally came to the conclusion something was just missing from the
Flavor and texture of my Mothers dumplings;
So I did a bit of testing and found it needed more salt and an egg for richness!
The liquid needed to be thicker than broth or water, so I tried warm milk.
Warming the milk really did make a difference in the batter.

Living From Glory To Glory Blog

These dumplings only take about 5 minutes to cook;
Just have them at a light boil and cook with the lid on the pan!

So if anyone ever calls you Dumplen,
They my dear are giving you a compliment...

Living from Glory to Glory Blog, Dumplings

I promise you will love this easy, yummy comfort food!
They last for about 5 days covered in the refrigerator.

Amazing Strength And Know How Comes From Teaching And Learning...

Teaching one another, Living From Glory To Glory Blog

Why we need each other...

Some of you are great cooks and amazing bakers
Some of you are so funny and have the greatest sense of humor.
Some of you are so beautiful in your physical appearance.
Some of you are very strong with physical strength.
Some of you are so crafty.
Some of you can sing like a bird.

~No one is good at everything~
That is why we are in need of each other;
I may admire your special strong points, but they are not mine!

I have heard that we can develop gifts and traits at any age.
We must never stop experimenting at learning new things...

We are all called to teach and train one another in many arenas;
Older women teach the younger woman!
It does tell us that it encompasses how to love ones husband and children.
But God has also many things that develop a warm and loving home.
Like being a better cook, or baker of special treats.
(A Hubby Loves Good Food)

I was talking to a friend about reading a pattern instruction that teaches
You how to sew something or crochet an item.
I told her it required me to pray and ask God for help as I did not understand the How To!

We need help from Him!!
But we need each others expertise in so many other areas!

My friend told me well at lease think of all the new brain cells I was growing!
(I loved hearing that line in our conversation)

Now, this is a powerful truth dear ones;
We will only stop growing if we stop...

Growing each and every new season is real living!

Strength comes from Him
When we are weak, He is strong
When we do not know how to do something we ask a friend or find a class,
That teaches what we need to learn! God wants us to learn and grow!

And my challenge here for you is this!
What do you know that you can teach another?
What do you need to learn, that another could teach you or help you with it?

Lack of know how is no excuse...
Ignorance is not a disease!
It is what comes about when we as women are not teaching the next generation!

What is it that you have a good knowledge of that you could share with others?
This is what helping and teaching others really is about!
We must never stop learning and growing...
You are never too old or too young to learn something new!

Grow in spirit and truth and learn how to be the best
Homemaker you can be...

Maybe you could plan a class and invite some people over,
To share something that is a real blessing!
Canning
Gardening
Sewing
Knitting
Cooking
Crafts
In these settings you grow in relationships and love
And we fulfill our biblical calling;

What skill do you know that you could teach another?

What Is A Watchwoman...

Living From Glory To Glory Blog

A Watchwoman And Roses...

One of my favorite scriptures or word picture that I just find
Fascinating for me comes from Proverbs 31:27

~She "watches" over the ways of her household~

As wives and mothers and homemakers, we are the "Watchwoman"
That is referred to in this scripture!

Glory to Glory Blog

There is a wall that surrounds your home and land and sphere of influence;

As we walk upon the tops of this wall that surrounds are loved ones,
We look out into the far distance, watching for prey that means to harm.

We keep our eyes close to the bottom of the wall for any danger trying
to scale the walls that surround our homes!

We need discernment to know what is trying to get close to our homes;
And even try to weasel its way into our sanctuaries.

I have had to keep watch for the things that bring harm!
We can so easily just allow so many things into our lives and relationships
that can destroy a foundation built on truth!
We can not become careless in this calling.

I hope you ladies lovingly keep watch daily for whatever might bring harm!

I feel that we need to keep very alert and appreciate this position;
This is where you can practice wisdom from above,
A woman can just have that special knowing when something or someone
Is just not right, it can be a feeling or a prompting.
God has given this to us ladies to keep guard and go with that intuition that
helps us to know when something is just off!

The word tells us to not lean unto our own understanding;
But there is a gifting given to us to know and sense danger!

I have read and heard so many stories over the years that only
Another woman or mother would understand;
{It goes like this, I just had this feeling}

We can be very special force ops in this activity
Yet, not look one bit militant
But rather lovely and modest and smell like a rose!

May the Lord revive and refresh us in this line of duty...
Never give the enemy of our homes and loved ones one bit of territory!

Stand your ground and keep watch;
For you, dear ones are a
Watchwoman...

Can you recall a time that you said;
{I just had this feeling}

Why We Need To Cover Our Cleavage Ladies...

Modest Clothing, Living From Glory To Glory Blog

(Writing This From What A Man Might Be Thinking)

Why do you wear clothing that shows off your cleavage?
I think You think I might want to see it...
Did you know that this is how I am wired?
My eyes just go to whatever is exposed!

Do you realize that when you even try to hide what is really exposed;
By pulling up on your top it just accentuates the problem.
You don't seem to care at all if I look at you;
Wait; I get it!
You want me to look at you and want you!
I really thought it was just my problem;
But it is just as much as yours; for, you will be held accountable for
(Causing me to stumble)

As A Man After God's Own Heart...
WHY Do You Dress Like A Harlot And Scream With How You Dress
{LOOK AT ME}

(Writing From What I Am Thinking)

Do You Feel More Womenly By Showing Your Cleavage?

I have finally had to address this problem;
See I have had very close sweet friends that have just shown to
much to my husband and other young boys in my family!
 I ask you this, are you helping the problem of sexual thoughts?
Or are you exposing cleavage to the male gender...
Married men, Single men, Little boys

I know, you just have to say, I can't help it if they look at me like this;
REALLY...
Well, my dear ones, it will be you who will be held accountable
For making anyone stumble...

I do not care if your Husband has asked you to wear low cut shirts;
Because he likes it...
Any women or girl that exposes herself looks cheap!
I know this really makes some of you ladies mad
Some of you are saying Amen...

Look, we all like to feel pretty,
But beware of showing another male your breast
Even a glimpse of cleavage is too much for men!
You're going to be held accountable for this;
Because this is a matter of your heart and that is what God looks at!
Man looks at the outward (All that is exposed)

Well anyways, it is time to look at your spring and summer clothing!
If you ask the Lord about this, I can promise if you hear Him at all;
He will convict and confirm to you about this as being truth...

My job is to help you ladies make better choices;
To help all males not to stumble;
And to save you from the accountability that will come one day.

Try your swimsuit on;
Is it covering everything?
Have a covering top to wear over it while waiting to swim!
Get creative to look pretty and modest...

No Hot Pants...
No Cleavage...

Hey, wear what you want, it's your body
Don't let anybody tell you what to do

Well, see that's just the problem;
No one loves you enough to tell you the truth!!

Dress for the only one true KING...

What Are your thoughts on this?

How Much Does A Vacation Really Cost...

Glenwood Springs, Co Living From Glory To Glory Blog

Medicinal Waters

I was told something many years ago from a lady that really stuck with me!

She said that you needed to take a vacation every year
And I responded with we can't afford that!
She looks me in the eye, and she said this;
"I can promise you this even after taking a vacation you will still have
the same amount of money at the end of the year"

It made no sense to me then...

Well, after many years of trying to heed her advice;
It has proven true and powerful.

Life has a way of becoming mechanical and routine;
Not always a bad thing;
But I think we are created in such a way we need to be inspired.

Finding ways to vacation close to home is great,
But planning a trip away from home and your familiar sights,
Can refresh and stimulate our hearts and our thinking.

Always keep in mind ways to keep your vacations, cost effective
We always pack snacks and take our own bottled waters,
(When we travel by car)
 We have also found that when we travel we look for
Very nice grocery stores that carry salads and soups, as they make nice choices for lunch
And Fresh fruit and drinks without
The restaurant cost and tip required.
And if you travel with a camper or 5th wheel, you can save a lot in food cost and sleeping!

My Hubby just had the privilege to go hear a Mountain Man speak;
One of the topics was spending time in God's amazing creation!

I believe it is God's idea for us to explore and enjoy
"His creations"

Need A Vacation, Living from Glory to Glory Blog

We need things that will jump start our wonder and love
Of others and a heart of thankfulness...

A walk in a park to a camping trip, to a wild adventure;
It is not how far or how much it cost, but rather the investment,
Of time and memories that are made!

So a vacation and planned times away really do not cost you much!
But rather allows you to invest in love, romance, feelings, inspiration
Ideas to create and have a healthy heart...

So enjoy and plan a getaway for yourselves!

Where is it that you like to go?
Or what do you like to do to be refreshed and blessed?

Why Are We Becoming A One Child Family...

Children are A Blessing, Living From Glory To Glory Blog
She has two teeth now!

Little fingers
Little Toes
Smiles that warm the heart...

It is becoming less common to see little ones anymore;
I think we are becoming
 "A One Child, Family Culture"

We are allowing the lie and fear that is being spread;
You can't afford children...

Since when do we look to ourselves to provide?
Yes, we have to work and be wise, but I am afraid we are being
Cheated out of eternal joys and blessings!

I know it has come to the point of single Mothers and even Fathers;
But, I believe it grieves the Father's heart on how we do not marvel,
At the sight of a new baby or a small child and think that they are little miracles!

Do you think your inheritance is MONEY?

No, my dear ones, it is life...
"Human life"

What legacy are you leaving?

Do you help propagate the lie,
 with comments such as HOW do, you afford all those children?
Or, do you tell a Mother that you see with a few children,
My you sure have so many blessings...
 My heart feels broken when I see the loss of the desire to have children!

God's Word talks about a quiver full;
That means more than one;
Maybe only two or three..
We are not rabbits that breed with no thoughts to the welfare,
Of health and mental stability...
But God's grace and a natural love for our offspring!

I am glad my Mother wanted me and gave me birth;
What about you?

Children are a blessing...

Too Many lies;
If you really can't keep your baby- give them to a family
that has the heart and desire to have a family.
There is so much infertility;
Many pray to have a child;
Some of these children can only come to them through adoption!

Please pray that all babies are given a chance for life...

Count your blessings, name them one by one...

A Marriage That Stays Together Is Like Silver...

Living from Glory To Glory Blog,

A Silver Tea Pot

You have all heard the saying;
"They were born with a silver spoon in their mouth"
I just assumed it meant being born rich...

Well, I was not born into a wealthy family, but we had all we needed...
Sure, we could of had a lot of things,
I remember a few times thinking I wish I had that!
But let me tell you what I did have,
I had a purple stingray bike...
It road as smooth as butter on mashed taters;
It was my one priced possession as a child growing up in a time of history
Where everything was changing...
Homes were being divided as so many adults chose to get a divorce;
It was like a plague had hit our neighborhood!

Fear of hearing of some of our friends parents divorcing put shock waves into
The neighborhood where we lived.
Well, I can tell you this;
My parents were one of those families that did get divorced!

And I found myself hurting so deep inside...

But it was that purple stingray bike that my Father had bought me after
Their divorce that helped hold me together!

So what does a silver tea pot have to do with me?

Well, After being married for many years, I asked for a silver teapot!
It just was one of those things that always seemed like it would last forever.
They are tough and thick and yet lovely and strong...

Life can be so fragile...
Can something like a purple stingray make a difference in a life?
Can a silver teapot mean more than just a little teapot?

You bet they can...

It is a good thing not to have everything,
But so special to have something that means something!

But we can learn a lesson here, even with a silver teapot;
They are lovely, but you don't use it everyday,
You need to polish it every 6 months or so to make sure it shines;
But a bike can roll through all sorts of troubles and you can use it everyday!

I realize now that even all the money in the world would not of
Made me happy,
But;
If only my parents had stayed together.
~That Would Of Made Me Happy~

Special care for silver require a bit of polishing and special cleaner,
And a bit of elbow grease. But it is nice to have and to use for a special occasion.

A Marriage that stays together is worth more than a silver spoon or a purple bike!

How Comparison Is Wrong...

Living From Glory To Glory Blog
The Source: The Tea Time Magazine

Comparison...

Now when you are out shopping, and you're in the fruit aisle,
And your comparing apples or oranges for their size and looks.
That is considered to be wise.
When we use our resources and manage things well.
Using coupons, finding the best deals, buying while on sale.

But to compare yourself to another person is very wrong!

Each person is on their own race and can be anywhere in the process.
Some are starting out, some are half-way.
Some have taken so many detours, they have lost their sense of direction.

We can use others to help us in making decisions, and even
Imitating someones cooking or decorating ideas.
This I believe is being encouraged by another and responding by
imataining their ideas.
Or, you may be a person that you do not want anyone to copy your ideas!
But I find it a great compliment when someone likes what I have done.

God tells us in His word to imitate Paul or copy James;
Trying to make good choices in any arena of life is a good thing.

I love it when one of you ladies Blogs inspire me!
You make me laugh and giggle,
Your crafts and recipes have helped me to create beautiful things!
I have felt challenged and invigorated to try something new.

I have read words of wisdom that required a change of direction.
Some Blogs have taught me to hold steady!

I have seen posts of an artist that I did not even know who existed.

I have read posts and some comments that encouraged me when I was weary!
A comment or an Email can fan a flame dear ones!
The Bible is filled with encouragement;
You say you never need to be encouraged...

I think that the gift of encouragement is one of the very best and most needed;
in our world and lives and families. And in our walk with Christ!

Do not compare yourself with people!
But line yourself up with God's word...

A wise woman once told me;
Try to stay humble in God's sight
Walk in Love
Stay true to myself
And be faithful to God!

I will tell you this one thing;
If you will encourage another, and help them stay the course;
It will go well with you...

I ask tough things of others, I speak truths that are uncomfortable;
I call you up to a higher calling...

Is your blog a beacon of light?
Do you leave comments to help and encourage another?
Do you stay the course?

I do not care if someone thinks I am a bit fruity (A Fruit Loop)
I just want to bear fruit...

Please make this a rime to encourage someone today;
Make this a year to bring the gift of promotion to others;
Lift them up in prayer
Encourage them with words
We are bloggers and using a social media for good!
Nothing wasted, nothing lost!

We are all the same; and we are all unique...
A special treasure

How To Start Making The Transition To Come Home...

Living From Glory To Glory Blog

After a long day of guiding my Home;
I looked forward to a good night's sleep,
 But I could not turn off my brain.
 It wanted to cover everything I had done throughout the day.
So I started doing the mental list...
I find a sense of well done as I recall my day's work...

But then I realized that millions of women were doing the same thing,
All over the world
And also doing this very same thing since the beginning of time!

This position of Guiding our Homes is strong and backed by a higher authority;
We have been given the keys to this position!

There is an agenda in the world that has been at work for a very long time!

The battle of words and reasoning has tackled every angle;
Even Men have embraced the thinking that women belong in the work force!
Feminism has reached every culture and religion and race and gender...
We are told and taught that we must pull our own weight;
(Make Money)

Did I really mention the one word that hackles the hairs on the heads;
of those that have an ideal way of leading our nation?

It wasn't enough that in my formative years I was fed a daily dose of
Women Power
I am Women
I need no one to survive!

We walked in a new freedom and liberty;
(But this liberty has an undercurrent that has swept away so many maidens)

It seems at times that we are just a breath away from being suffocated from
An agenda that kills, steals and destroys.

I  will not be the one to throw a stone at a woman who works!
I also have had to work many years ago;
But I think there is a difference between choosing to be gone all day;
And leaving your children to be raised by a person being paid a wage.
Then a woman who must or will find herself on the streets...
That is where I see the difference, we must do what is best for our families!
If we get so mean spirited about things, we start to devour each other.

If you have the means to stay at home,
 Consider helping a woman that has still not been able to come Home yet!
 To encourage her and be an example to her!
 Sometimes it can be a long process to be able to return home and leave the work force.

I am saying this with as much love as a I can,
 Your worth and value
Does not come from the wages you bring home;
But rather what you impart to your Husband in being there for him.
Being present in the Home to encourage and train your children.
Managing the resources with a frugality that allows one to have comfort!

Being a Homemaker is truly a work of art;
A Masterpiece I tell you...

How To Make The Transition To Come Home

  • Find and ask a few women who would be willing to help you pray for
  • God's guidance and path to bring this about!

  • Inquire of the Lord's will and timing...

  • Start living right now as if you had only one income...

  • Learn how to be frugal and industrious in homemaking skills...

  • Learn from other women who have learned the art of homemaking;
  • (Canning, cooking, homemade gifts)

  • Tell Your Husband how much you love being home,
  • When you are not working!

  • Make being a homemaker your calling...
  • Ponder, Pray, Love

The forces and thinking and strongholds that have driven women away
From their homes is a strong force;
But you can overcome...
Do not give up!
For being HOME is a part of the ancient path...

Do You have any suggestions to help women that want to come Home?

Here is a very good post written about the ancient path

Expectancy In All My Days...

Living From Glory To Glory Blog

Expectancy

I have always loved that word;
It just reminds me of something wonderful to come!

Always be in a state of expectancy and see that you leave room for God
To come in as He likes- Oswald Chambers

No matter how well we plan our days, we must always keep an expectant
 Adventurous side to kick in as the Holy Spirit leads.
Up front and ready...
We can encounter many people in any given day;
Yet,
We have been even advised that we could even be entertaining angels!

Women of valor and virtue are not caught off guard!
Our hearts have been trained to move and overcome when situations arise.
 And believe me they will!
I think these are the very things that show Godly composure and goodwill.
If you find yourself always on the edge of being angry, or inconvenienced;
You just might miss the moment...

And even if at times you feel that your life is mundane;
I can assure you a wonderful surprise just might be around the corner!
But we must understand what living in a way that has the presence of expectancy
in everyday living!
(Anticipation)

It might not be something world moving; but something small and sweet,
put there just for you!
We miss the small things way too easy, as we are always looking
for the huge.

That my friend is what the word Expectancy means to me!

A casual encounter can have a life changing impact when God is at work!
I want to keep my heart in a place that responds quickly;
Sometimes we can miss an opportunity by not being prepared in advance.
We must be ready in season...

Even what we consider to be a problem is just another place where
God moves in unexpected ways...
He is never late and always on time...

When your plans are interrupted;
Take a deep breath on giving yourself time to think before you respond...

Keep in mind, we might not have control over situations, but
You do have control of how you respond!

So may I ask you this?
Are you living with an expectancy that allows God to give you situations;
That can allow you to grow and be used in a situation that brings
Glory to God...

Just a note to also say God works in our daily routines;
He uses all things!
