Calling All Grand Mothers...

Good Golly
Where do the years go?

I had a lovely vacation to Florida and being with my children down there!
My days are in His hand...

Making time to impart love and truth in the next generation!
We have become too self absorbed into our self culture.
My Pastor's wife can be heard saying;
Family is everything!

Calling all Grandmothers to arise...
Let us work while it is yet day!

Speak life!
Create  lovely cards and notes to send to them!
Write down funny things they might say!
They will love to read them one day.
Find a day that works for a weekly chat with the grandchildren!

For the married couple;
Pray for their marriages!
Send them a gift card so they can go out on a date.
Be not easily offended;
Support and encourage them!

Here are my sweet Grandchildren in Florida.
We have another one on the way!!
So, I will be going back in August or Sept, when SHE is born :o)

Here is my Little
"Boots and Pants"
"Boots and Pants"

Here are my other sweet young men !
Got Goose???

These Boys are country through and through!

I am privileged to live right next door to these
" Little Men"

If your children are yet small you still one day will be a Grand Mother;
A calling worthy of God's Love and Grace!
Pray and inquire of the Lord (How to PRAY for each of them)
Ask the Lord, how to impact their lives for His Glory!

Being a good Parent or Grand Parent just doesn't happen...
It is by intentional living and speaking!

Calling All Grand Mothers...
Be a Grand Mother YOUR Grand Children will remember!
Love, Grammy

Hello Birdie...

Doves are a symbol of love and peace, and unity!

There are many seasons in a woman's life,
and each one of these seasons are very special
and unique.

Even the seasons of springtime, harvest and winter all hold a
Very powerful purpose.
We really must have each one of these seasons to fulfill the process,
Which is being worked out in each of us!

I have stood in amazement of the power and impact I sense and feel
 In the newness of life.

 A new child born!
New green buds forming on the trees.
Spindly green shoots popping out of the hard dark ground!
The sweet little birds feverishly working to build a nest to lay their eggs.

If we really stopped to think about these things we take for granted,
They would really be called miracles...

May your cup always be full of His love and grace!
Embrace each new season of your life...

Green Rolling Hills...

The Luck of the Irish...
I don't believe in luck, but rather God's favor and blessings!

Powerful and vast open land!
Windswept and green.
We all have roots in another land as we here in America, have
Our generations of past immigrants of a larger and wider world.
They came wanting more for themselves and their loved ones!

We all have a part of the bigger picture...

May our roots go deep!
Remember the brave men and women who traveled far to make a new life.
Home really is where your heart is!

Wonderful rich wool and a livelihood of many generations.

"A lovely Irish tea"

Tea and good fellowship bring us all together, no matter where we live.
(Irish Breakfast tea for me please)

We all have roots from another place!
As America has been the melting pot of the world.
I am just a bit concerned about what we might be melting into!

They have very pretty wildflowers in this green and lush land.
I long for to see these as I live in the dry land and as I type these
words we are still in a drought.
Please pray for rain!

We can celebrate the goodness of Ireland and all its rich traditions,
 An Irish Lady I am...
Happy St. Paddy's Day to all!

Destination...

I see this Snowman just standing along side the road carrying this sign!
So I pull over and he jumps in and say's
  Hello, Thanks for the ride!

I am shocked and I say; Well, I have never picked up a hitchhiker before!
Especially a snowman,
And I ask him
Have you been standing on the road for very long?

He responses;
All winter long as soon as the first snow storm started!
People just will not stop to pick me up!
I just think so many people are really turned off by the cold...
But you can bet come August there going to be  be beee missing me!

Oh are you cold?
Would you like me to turn my heater up higher?
NOOOOOO!
I will never make it to my Destination if you do that!
So, I ask him (You don't like the cold either)?
NOOOOOO!
He says!!
So I tell him to look buddy, I am on my way to the airport!
I am flying south...
So as far as I can take you is there okay?
OOOOOKAY HEEE SAAAY'S!!!

Going to visit my daughter !!!
Can you guess where??

Never Grow Old Mom: Coulda, Woulda, Shouda...

I really enjoyed this picture for a couple of reasons;
Firstly, I think all of us deep down inside are still really wanting to be young!
And I mean young at heart!
Still willing to be agile in spirit...

My son something to me the other day, that I will remember
For a very long time...
It was this; He said Mom, don't ever grow old!
So many people get way too old before they are even really that old.

Ageing gracefully is not what I am referring to here!

The second reason I liked this picture is this
We hopefully will be like the shadows dancing inside and not the other way around!
Not really living anymore!
No spring in your step or a song in your heart!
Tired and old and weary and sad!
Inside and Out!
That is what my son was saying...
Stay YOUNG inside Mom!

My older Brother sent this to me, and I thought it was worth sharing,
To a few thousand over 50 ladies or so.

Too many people put off something that brings them joy just because they haven't thought about it, don't have it on their schedule, didn't know it was coming or are too rigid to depart from their routine.

I got to thinking one day about all those people on the Titanic who passed up dessert at dinner that fateful night in an effort to cut back. From then on, I've tried to be a little more flexible.

How many women out there will eat at home because their husband didn't suggest going out to dinner until after something had been thawed? Does the word 'refrigeration' mean nothing to you?

How often have your kids dropped in to talk and sat in silence while you watched ' Jeopardy ' on television?

I cannot count the times I called my sister and said , 'How about going to lunch in a half hour?' She would gasp and stammer, 'I can't. I have clothes on the line. My hair is dirty. I wish I had known yesterday, I had a late breakfast, It looks like rain' And my personal favorite: 'It's Monday.' She died a few years ago. We never did have lunch together.

Because Americans cram so much into their lives, we tend to schedule our headaches.. We live on a sparse diet of promises we make to ourselves when all the conditions are perfect!

We'll go back and visit the grandparents when we get Steve toilet-trained. We'll entertain when we replace the living-room carpet. We'll go on a second honeymoon when we get two more kids out of college.

Life has a way of accelerating as we get older. The days get shorter, and the list of promises to ourselves gets longer. One morning, we awaken, and all we have to show for our lives is a litany of 'I'm going to,' 'I plan on,' and 'Someday, when things are settled down a bit.'

When anyone calls my 'seize the moment' friend, she is open to adventure and available for trips. She keeps an open mind on new ideas. Her enthusiasm for life is contagious. You talk with her for five minutes, and you're ready to trade your bad feet for a pair of Rollerblades and skip an elevator for a bungee cord.

My lips have not touched ice cream in 10 years. I love ice cream. It's just that I might as well apply it directly to my stomach with a spatula and eliminate the digestive process. The other day, I stopped the car and bought a triple-Decker. If my car had hit an iceberg on the way home, I would have died happy.

Now...go on and have a nice day. Do something you WANT to...not something on your SHOULD DO list. If you were going to die soon and had only one phone call you could make, who would you call and what would you say? And why are you waiting?

Make sure you read this to the end; you will understand why I sent this to you.

Have you ever watched kids playing on a merry go round or listened to the rain lapping on the ground? Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight or gazed at the sun into the fading night? Do you run through each day on the fly? When you ask 'How are you?' Do you hear the reply?

When the day is done, do you lie in your bed with the next hundred chores running through your head? Ever told your child, 'We'll do ittomorrow.' And in your haste, not see his sorrow? Ever lost touch? Let a good friendship die? Just call to say 'Hi'?

When you worry and hurry through your day, it is like an unopened gift....Thrown away..... Life is not a race. Take it slower. Hear the music before the song is over.

'Life may not be the party, we hoped for... But while we are here we might as well dance!'

Remember Dear Ones to Dance inside till the cows come HOME!
Till He calls us HOME... And not before, so don't stop living NOW!

Come Away My Beloved...

You are invited to a Party!

Please do not be late, for I have made a lovely setting for each of you.
I have polished the silver and place a tea cup for each of you.

You can have the choice of coffee or tea,
Scones or muffins along side the quiche.

As I was sitting there at my desk this morning I was thinking about,
This Blog called Living from Glory to Glory.
And what I believe I was given from the Lord,
Was how this is a ministry!
We have all been placed in this this time and space together.
He told us to not forsake the assembling of ourselves together.

So I am with many of you today and tomorrow via through this blog!

I prayed for each of you...

When you stop and read my humble writings and when,
You leave me a comment it cheers my heart!
And I think she is my friend!
A fellow Godly woman, living in the place of a woman's desire.
To be heard and loved and to see others to encourage them...
Am I my Brother's keeper?

Yes, my child, you are!

I am not a dictionary or a cookbook!
I am not a psychiatrist!
I am not a Doctor!
I am not a health expert!
I am not many things with a title given to me by the world!

But:
I am a child of God!
I am walking in His love!
I am learning how to be A Godly Woman, wife and a Mother.
Now, also a Grandmother!
I am being given wisdom and insight into many things!
I am becoming for like Him each day!
Living from Glory to Glory...

It is so nice of you to come and stay with me and party together!
What Lady does not enjoy a wonderful outing with those who are like minded?
We love to dress and go visiting!
So many of us in these days do this via Blogs;
So may we all be joyful, truthful and kind as we visit each other!

Help each other grow and show each other what has inspired you!
We are called to be together not apart and alone!
I need each and every one of you lovely ladies!

I really think Blogging has helped me through a very long, cold, and dry winter!
Your comments have warmed my heart!
And I call you FRIEND!

The has said to each and every one of us;
Come Away My Beloved...

One Of the Many Uses For A Head Lamp

All I want for Christmas!

My sweet Hubby asked me today;
Honey is there anything else you wanted for Christmas?
I was speechless (Well almost)

Our Father in heaven knows what we need and want,
Even before we ask!

I have been so blessed to have a wonderful Husband!
I have been given many godly women as my friends!

I cherish my Children and my Grandchildren!
Counting my blessings...

So I decide to call my sister!
 and here is what she is dealing with;

My sister in Michigan has no power and no running water.
They have had a terrible ice storm.
 And this has caused many
Downed trees on their property.
They have told them they may not have power up until
December 26th or the 27th!
She starts telling me about how she has tried to get her gifts
 finished before Christmas.
So she has had to wear a head lamp to see!

Now, with these thoughts rolling around in my head as
My sister wears a head lamp on her head trying to crochet a wash cloth!!

Now I am cracking up here!

Plus she has not been able to wash her hair for two days!
Not a pretty picture for the Holidays...
My sister has always had the best attitude even in
the hard times!
Her whole town is out of power!

Can I ask if just maybe my sister and the whole town where she
Lives, to have their power restored,
For Christmas?

Does this good attitude of my sister sound like an overcomer?

Blessings,
Roxy

Classic Pink

 Pink Classic
My cruiser style bike, she is so pretty!
My Hubby took her in for a tune-up early this Summer.
This surely is a sign this little Lady is getting older.

Let me explain;
When I was a young girl my bike was bright purple!
It had a Banana seat on it.
A slick back tire.
And no extra gears!
And chopper handle bars.
I loved that bike :)

Now fast forward almost 50 years.
Now pink is for flowers;

And Little Old Lady's  cruiser!

May we ride like the wind, and squeal with delight!
For time really does fly by.

I heard a sermon today that really touched me.
This man was telling us that while here on this earth,
We are all really dying!

It is when we get to Heaven we really begin living.

While on this earth,
We can eat really well and eat only organic and,
We can exercise and keep ourselves in shape.
But;

We are all perishing!
Where are your treasures?
Our you investing into the Eternal?

Yet;
Ride like the wind and enjoy each day!
For we are to take pleasure,
And treat each day as a gift.
Live with intent and desire a pure heart.
Invest in a life by being an example.
For living life is an art!

Blessings,
Roxy

Slip Sliding Away In The Summer Time...

Slip And Slide, Living From Glory To Glory Blog...

As a child I remember this time of the Summer being called
The dog days of Summer!
The summer days just went as slow as molasses;
It was so hot the dog would not even move.
We played on our slip and slip
 and we filled
our water tubs to sit in to keep cool.
We made our homemade Popsicles out of Kool-aid!
We went to the lake!
We went to the pool sometimes.
Summer lasted for a whole year it seemed like!
It was so hot outside my Momma had coined the phrase,
"It is Hotter then Blue Blaze's out here!"
Now, that just kinda stuck in my head,
As a grown woman today when it's really hot,
I can hear myself saying!!
"It's Hotter then Blue Blaze's out here today!!"
Every night we would play outside till dark, playing
all are favorite games.
Kick the can!
Kickball
Hide-n-seek
But now it seems like summer just slips and slides away!

May we make the time and enjoy the rest of these
Summer days!
Let us not  allow any of our days slip away!
Dance in His showers of refreshment,
Sing and play while the sun warms your skin.
For summer has a way of slipping away.
Blessings,
Roxy

It's A Girl Thang...

Really, Can a girl  ever have enough purses?
Now, maybe I might have a wee bit of a purse infatuation.
I am drawn to each new season of styles and colors.
Big ones and not so big ones.
Bright ones and classic colors.
What is it about finding just the right one?
At least for a few months any- ways.
In my closet, I have a large container filled with purses,
They have been by my side and have held much needed
STUFF
So, I could leave home with a sort of a kinda suitcase (thing -ama -bob.)
So here is my thought!
I am going to Florida to see my kids.
So I will be needing a new Beachy kind of a bag!
REALLY!!
A girl who likes to have a proper bag to carry her things.
Is it really so bad?
Blessings,

The Days End

 Colorado Sunset

I  am always so amazed at our sunsets here!

In my profile I mentioned on how I live in the prairie.
It is a landscape and a place not easy to make your peace with.
The land is free and can be brutal at times.
The weather and wind can change in minutes.

I have seen almost hurricane winds beat our land and home unmercifully.
We know first hand what wind and dirt can produce.
My heart has always been touched for those who endured
And lived during the dust bowl.
As this all happened at the same time as the
Great Depression.

It must have seemed to those who were in the center of these two forces,
As if the world was coming to an end.

I believe that we are put in the exact place where the Father
wants us to live and overcome.
It does not matter where you live!
Of all places have their unique and challenging situations.
But also each carries a treasure of God's creation and

profound peak of splendor.
And it is the sunsets here in my prairie that keeps me

Centered in His hand.

The Floater

"The Floater"

I just love this!!

Sometimes we just need to float and feel the peace.
There is gravity to keep us from falling off the earth.
News flash!

Holding on too tight will cause white knuckles,
and indigestion.
Not to mention wrinkles.

Why Worry?
Worry will not change one thing.
Worry is sin.
Worry will waste a good day.

We can be either sinkers or floaters!

 It is better to just wait on the Lord;
So just relax and float.

For God is our life jacket!

Blessings,

Amazing Days Are Coming

A Day To Remember

This was an amazing day.
We took a drive to meet some friends for dinner, at a wonderful mountain restaurant.
The drive was so refreshing, and cool. Every mile higher brought relief from the blazing heat.
Higher and higher till our ears popped.
Cooler and cooler the temperature kept dropping!

Nothing like great food and best friends!
Danny and I picked pine cones because they were so pretty, and smelled wonderful.
Maybe I can find a craft project for fall or Christmas to use these treasures in.

God is amazing in how He orchestrates our lives with His body of believers.
We ran into our other great friends while up there, and we all got together  in our friends cabin. and we had the most powerful time in prayer and worship.

We had church folks!
His Presence just flowed over us!
God is taking His people to new heights.

Keep looking Up for His redemption is Nigh.

Were going up, now is the time to see higher.
Think higher thoughts.
Hear in the Spirit.
He has great things in store for His children.

Blessings Roxy

August Fun...

Good Morning,
I was just thinking that it was time to reveal some of these last few weeks episodes of my life. Well, remember the camping trip we took. Wonderful time, we had a blast!
Mountain air, a stream for the boys to play in. Now everyone must of been in the mountains because we could not find a place to camp for nothing. My son said he has never experienced this problem ever. Now, I am thinking you gotta be kidding! Thank God a sweet little lady came over to us after we stopped at a place that was FULL and she told us where we could find a spot. GOD bless this lady! We finally arrived at our place that the Father saved for us (reservations made in heavenly places).

OK, to the point I came home with the worst virus from swimming in a hot pool that was filled with who knows what. It was the first time I actually put my head under the water, I may have licked my lips!!(YIKES). Also the END of any possible good hair day on this trip.
This pool experience was thankfully done on our last day of our vacation.

Home again home again jiggity jig.

Sick and tired for almost a week Now when they say don't drink the water. Don't Drink The Water or in my case lick your lips, or dunk your head!

We have washed the windows (MY HUSBAND)!! I washed  all the screens and blinds and curtains.
And then ironed the curtains and put them back up.
I swatted flies till my wrist hurt
Granddaughter turned 10 what does that make me? Older than her...
The point I am trying to make is this I will enjoy every last bit and portion of this month of August. I love all you out there who have taken the time to read of my life and portion that God has given me. It is all good because we our all learning and growing in His love and Grace. We are a family and He is our Father.

The whole earth has a virus and it is sin and the Lord has given us the antidote to heal and cure the effects of sin. Jesus Christ and His word, take it at least three times a day! Pray and rest in his love.

Blessings, Roxy

Beach Blessings...

Living from Glory to Glory Blog

Friends!
A Labor of Love: You find out that you're expecting, the sheer joy and fear come over you with all its force of nature. Take a deep breath and you have 9 months to let it settle and grow and bond. Forever a part of you! My daughter and friend.

We start out being the only one in this relationship that is carrying the whole load, then, alas, we have those years of love and adoration of Mommy and daughter. We grow and laugh together, we learn about each other likes and dislikes. What an awesome adventure. Our love is a love that God has put into our hearts. He chose us to be Mother and daughter. But we have the choice to be friends. And what a wonderful thing to have a daughter as your dearest friend.

Love, Mom

Breakfast Of Champions...

Living From Glory To Glory Blog...
Now, this is what I am talking about!

In the heat of summer mornings I love to get into the word and drink my tea.
I wait for His still small voice to speak His words of encouragement.
I want His direction for where He is working and what He has assigned to me.
He is just waiting for me to seek His face and His words for this day.
I awake so hungry for His presence and His direction!
Our Father, is just waiting to load each one of us with His daily benefits
My hunger for Him can be filled by just sitting at His feet and thanking Him for all He has for me.
I then begin to declare all the promises of His word for me and others.
 Open Heavens our over us!

Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits. The God of our salvation! Psalm68:19

God has said He will fill those who hunger and thirst after Him. (Open Your Mouth Wide)

Our breakfast:
Vanilla yogurt with fresh blueberries and strawberries, also vanilla flavored granola on top, then just a teaspoon of lemon flavored Cod Liver Oil. Yummy and good for us.

We are going camping and I am so looking forward to seeing what the Lord will speak
In the mountains of His creation. For I have ears to hear.
I send my love out to all my sisters in Christ Jesus for in Him we our family.

Looking Up...

So teach us to number our days, so that we might gain a heart of wisdom. Psalms90:12

I believe that there is a spirit of slumber upon us in these days. Yet at the same time the hours and days are just flying by. We must all stop hitting the snooze button!!

This last month has been very productive and sad and glad and funny and did I mention HOT.
Being Productive and Painting all our metal outside furniture, a very bright red color
I went to a Women on Fire conference, 3 days filled with God's power and Love.
Taking care of my husband and keeping the home fires burning.
 Loving my family and friends.

So Sad, Our sweet dog Heidi was bitten by a rattlesnake and she died. She was 11 years old
I can't help but believe that she took the hit instead of one of us here. We cried like babies.
And our other dog Bella is so lonely and sad without her,
she just goes over to the grave and just sits down.

God is still on His throne and He speaks to the hearts of His children,
and He has made a way in the wilderness
Even through the hardships and sorrows and pain and all the work.

Funny=Seeing the Grand kids playing in the mud walking around with nothing on but cowboy boots and mud, should of gotten a picture of that one.

The moral of this story= God is a good God and our days our fleeting,
so must learn to live in the now that God has given us so that there will not be regrets, but rather grateful for all the different emotions and seasons we go through.

No Matter;
Things Are Looking Up...

Blessings

Wyoming Country...

I have been transported to a wild west territory, Wyoming! It is the town of Cody. I am actually here on assignment to check out a college with my best friend and her daughter. I believe I was honored to be able to come. The drive was very long, but when you have someone to talk and laugh with the time goes more quickly (ha-ha). What a privilege to be with a mother and daughter as they see the future home of their newly graduated daughter.
I can just imagine the wonderful and exciting adventures ahead for her, and I also can feel the emotions that must be running through her heart. What!! So far from home, Hello what was I thinking!
But as I walked around the campus all Could see was opportunity calling and knowledge crying out. Dreams just waiting to be dreamed.
So, go my sweet girl your time has come to grow and become all that God has given you to do.
You Go Girl!!

My New And Improved Living Room...

Living from Glory to Glory Blog Voila
After almost two weeks of painting and new wood floors, voila our new living room!
It was really worth all the work.
Our son did all the wood floors and most everything else.
My Hubby and I helped with the painting and painting and painting.
All good things take time and energy.
Which reminds me, I finally feel rested and can fully enjoy it!
I love new and improved most the time,
Yet other times I want to say hey, what's wrong with the way things use to be?
Sometimes the things that our most familiar to us, help us to feel safe and a sense of home.
But I can truly say that the feeling I get when I see the results is (change can be good).
The Lord spoke a word to me in the beginning of this new year and it was "extravagant".
He truly wants to bless and prosper His children. He wants to give you the desires of your heart.
I had been praying for almost a year about doing a wood floor and updating the colors.
He is a good God and He wants to give you good gifts.
"Home is where Your heart is"
After all, the word tells us to Be Home Makers or keepers of the home.
So making them cozy and comfy and beautiful is biblical.
