A Great Way To Help Stop Wrinkles In Your Clothes
Many Of You May Know This Trick!
But if you do not, then you will be enjoying this simple post!
I learned this from my daughter last year while visiting her.
She put tennis balls in her dryer, while drying her clothes.
I did not think much of it until I did my laundry.
So I just put in my wet clothes as usual along with the tennis balls,
Oh my goodness...
What a huge difference it made in the clothes!
There were very few wrinkles in them, compared to usual!
She told me that she had been using them for a long time;
She felt it made a huge difference also.
When I got home, I purchased a small container of the tennis balls.
They were only a couple of dollars.
I place three of them in my dryer and I am so glad that I did!
I can see a huge difference in how they have very few wrinkles.
I do try to hang the clothes up just before the dryer runs out of time on the timer.
But this simple and easy trick does really work.
I still iron my good clothing when I want a crisp finish,
But this little trick helps with so many casual pants and tops.
Trust me, if you try this and hang them quickly you will be impressed!
And I truly do not mind ironing, but this has been wonderful!
Do you have any tricks to help eliminate wrinkles in your clothes?
Easy enough, I'll give it a try.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.
I thought I left a comment on the tennis balls. I don't a delay of comment statement, so I'll leave it again. This is a easy enough try so I'm going too. I came back after browsing your blog to tell you how lovely it is. So genteel, peaceful and God inspired. I'll enjoy visiting here.

Hi, Roxy! Been a looooooong time!
ReplyDeleteI don't use tennis balls, but I only dry our outer garments 10 minutes maximum in a gentle dryer, then hang until completely dry. My husband loves his Levi's crisp like that and I just fold them and never have to press them even a little. His Dockers, long or short sleeved cotton shirts and my outfits all need a nice, crisp ironing and are never dried in the dryer more than 10 minutes. Dryers are murder on clothing, aren't they? And sheets and towels.
Happy week!
*hugs*

Wow! Who knew? Such a simple thing can make a big difference
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed week dear Roxy
Hello there! What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteMy trick to wrinkle free tips is to buy only wrinkle free clothing! As you know I don't like to iron! ;)
Enjoy your week! Hugs, Amy
What a great tip Roxy! I have seen this before, but have never tried it. I will let you know how it works out, will definitely give it a try!
ReplyDeleteI have heard of this trick but have never tried it, I am all about not ironing anymore than I have too! My "trick" is to just turn the dryer on the last ten minutes of the cycle (wrinkle-free) and be there to grab them out and hang them up! Not really much of a trick is it?? :)
ReplyDeleteI will have to give this a try.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to catch up on my favorite blogs since being away for a bit.
I hope your Easter was happy with loved ones, Roxie.
Spring is inching it's way here in the Mid-West.
Just waiting for the grand entrance!
Enjoy your week, dear friend.
Love to you.

Hi Roxy, My girls make balls out of yarn for their dryers-but I thought it was instead of using dryer sheets. I wonder if this will work on sheets-when we visit our friends houses, I notice their sheets don't ever have wrinkles. No matter what I've tried, even non-wrinkle brands, I always have wrinkles. I'm going to have to try this. Thanks for the tip!
ReplyDeleteHugs and happy spring.

I've been using wool dryer balls since January. They really help with wrinkles.

I will have to try this. If I happen to forget something in the dryer and it wrinkles I throw a wet washcloth in and let the dryer run a few minutes, the wrinkles generally come right out.
ReplyDeleteA great tip for those with dryers! Thank you for sharing Roxy! :)
ReplyDeleteAbby at Little Birdie Blessings made me some dryer balls from 100% wool yarn that she then felted. They have a similar effect...less drying time, fewer wrinkles, and reduced static cling. I think there's a pin for them at Pinterest. Anything that helps is a good thing!
