Imparting Grace

 My Mother

My Grandson said, Grandma who is that?
I said  that is my mother honey.
Then I asked him, why, who does she look like?
He said you Grandma!

My Grand Mother's
Antique coffee pot.
And salt and pepper shakers.

My Mothers little pink rose jewelry box.

Happy Mothers Day!

Mothers are a treasure to keep close to our hearts.
Memories are precious so make as many sweet ones as you can.

May we love and impart grace ;
To all the special women,
God has placed in our lives.
Give them honor!

Mothers are world changers,
We can even be a spiritual Mother to those whom
God might place in our lives.

Imparting Grace:
These will  be gifts of grace we impart in love to all those
We  are impacting each and every day.

Blessings,

A living Example

My Oldest Grand Daughter an my Youngest Grandson

Big sister is reading to her little brother.

I must admit it makes my heart feel so full, to see the love and care she is showing her little brother.  We live in such a day that we do not give the example and the home life to teach this to our children anymore.  With older siblings off to school or the wee ones in day care.  But thank God more and more families our working at keeping the family together.  And it is our biblical duty from the scriptures to help mentor, our daughters and encourage them in their pursuit to stay at home.

And to also thank our sons for allowing them to do so.

I realize we all can not stay at home!
But as I have said many times it is where your heart is !

May we all pursue to keep the home fires burning.
May our children say: There's NO place like home.
No matter how old or how far they live away:)

Blessings, Roxy

Goose Hunting

His First Goose Hunt!
And I don't mean Dad's!

Golly this goose weighs a ton!
This boy has a marks men's eye...

He got up at 5:00 am to put out decoys,
he was ready and down before the sun came up.

He is an amazing shot!
So proud of him...

Our family loves to hunt!

They smoked it and made goose jerky out of it.
It was so good!

I went with my oldest grandson, and we
did our hunter safety class together
last year.

I believe it is important to train up the next generation
to be sportsmen like, to know safety and to respect
our wildlife.

He has bent His bow and made it ready.
Psalms 7:12

Wait for the first light to shoot!

Granchildren Our Inheritance

Our precious one!
Here is a sweet picture of our 7th grandchild.
His name is David
He is 4 months old now.
I have yet to hold him in my arms,
For he lives far away from his Grandma and Papa.
He looks so much like his Momma when she was but a baby.
I know that there are many Grandma's who know the heartache
of having their precious grandchildren so far away.
But we as parents all know it it part of our job,
to raise our children to have roots.
Bur also to have wings to go wherever the Lord
leads them.
Blessings, Roxy

Take Action

This is a continuing thought of my last post.
Now these here young warriors, our practicing and doing what they know to do to be good soldiers.
Definitely not from a wax museum.
Alive and ready to implement the plan of strategy.

O beloved, I plead with you not to treat God's promises as something to be displayed in a museum but to use them as everyday source of comfort.  And whenever you  have a time of need, trust the Lord.

Go to the depths of God's promise,
And claim whatsoever you will;
The blessings of God will not fail you'
His word He will surely fulfill.
By Charles H. Spurgeon

How can God say no to something He has promised?

Cowboy-Up...

Living From Glory To Glory Blog
Ready and willing is what this guy is saying!

Be prepared is his motto...

We can dress the part and be just about anybody now a days.
I was just thinking about how the Lord looks upon the heart and not our appearance
But I do believe we need to be ready to speak the word in every situation.
Even if we don't quote chapter and verse, it is the Spirit who brings life to the WORDS we speak!

We live in the West and there is a code to live by,
 Cowboy Up!!

How ready and willing are you to be used to bless and encourage others?

I know looks upon the heart;
But sometimes we as humans look to others to see if they
Look safe and willing to comfort;
There are so many shady looking characters now days!

I do not want to say that looks are everything;
But they are important in some ways!

Being clean and tidy goes a long ways...

Beach Blessings...

Living from Glory to Glory Blog

Friends!
A Labor of Love: You find out that you're expecting, the sheer joy and fear come over you with all its force of nature. Take a deep breath and you have 9 months to let it settle and grow and bond. Forever a part of you! My daughter and friend.

We start out being the only one in this relationship that is carrying the whole load, then, alas, we have those years of love and adoration of Mommy and daughter. We grow and laugh together, we learn about each other likes and dislikes. What an awesome adventure. Our love is a love that God has put into our hearts. He chose us to be Mother and daughter. But we have the choice to be friends. And what a wonderful thing to have a daughter as your dearest friend.

Love, Mom

Times Of Refreshment...

Living From Glory To Glory Blog
This is just a small portion of the most wonderful vacation we have ever had!

God really blessed us with wonderful weather. Precious time with our daughter and her family!
We went with our kids on their sail boat and we were able to sight see all the huge mansions.
We spent a whole day at Sea World.
Yet, walking on the beach and looking for seashells by the sea shore was the sweetest with our kids. God's beautiful creation and a sight to bless our tired weary souls
Even the scent of salt water and the tropical breeze
 Refreshment galore!!

We have been home for almost a week and it seems like the memories are all we have, except the healthy tan and pictures of course. I want to say this about memories that they really are a force so strong at times. I truly believe God provided for this vacation and we made very special memories of our kids and grandchildren. We brought back two very specific seashells, one of them was a pink conk shell which represents our daughter and her family. And a very white and shiny one almost translucent, that represents our son and his family. They are now displayed on the mantel to remind us of our treasures.
Even Jesus went away to be refreshed
and being with loved ones and a new scenery does a body good.

Blessings, From Glory To Glory

Noah My Grandson...

Here is one of my most treasured gifts from the Lord,
Noah walked with God, Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord Genesis 6:8-9.

Prophesy, speak words of life and health over your children.
All of my Grandchildren, will walk in their inheritance, because
I will call those things into being and they shall come to pass.
I have the privilege and honor to plant seeds in all of my grandchild's life.
I plant them when I speak to them and about them to others.

Your words that these little ones hear will produce the fruit of what is heard by their own ears.
The word they hear will either produce
Faith and Encouragement,
 Joy and Strength,
 Righteousness and Truth,
 ~Which produce Life~
Remember, even our little lambs given to us from the Father will become
 What you say over them.
So lets start being mindful of what you say and speak into their lives.

Training Hint:
Through my years of being with the little ones,
I have found that if I will just speak to them in a tone of a kind voice, yet in a suggestive (great idea) mode their little eyes look up to say hey, (great idea).
Really, The all in control mode is not always the best approach for all kids. Like Noah!
He will remind you, Be Nice Omma, or Papa.
