Well, I just woke up one morning and I said I want to learn to knit!!
So I took myself to the library and I said there must surely be a book for Learning to Knit
For Dummies.
Guess what, there was, I brought it home and with great gusto and determination,
I had at it...
I finally finished my very first scarf, it is warm and cozy.
I really did take the time and took out all my mistakes as I went.
I also purchased my very own book on knitting.
I did attend one little class on learning to knit and my homework was to knit a dishcloth!
This has been fun yet a new challenge.
I hope to learn to read the directions for patterns and to be able to knit mittens for my little people, and scarfs to match.
I was just really surprised to discover how relaxing knitting really is!
So all you yoga fans drop your stance and pick up your knitting needles.
I think it has been great fun to learn to knit, but I think I still enjoy
Crocheting a little better!
Which do you enjoy doing?
Blessings, Roxy
I love it Roxy!! That is so funny, because I think all us faithful crocheters have had enough! I did the same thing about a year and half ago. I only learned how to do a dishcloth, but it was very relaxing! When you learn how to do the mittens maybe you could teach me too!
ReplyDeleteYour scarf looks gorgeous!
Well, I finally got over here to see your post. Its so sweet girlfriend.
ReplyDeleteIt makes me want to pull out those knitting needles right now. I could surely use some additional courses myself. Been teaching myself to crochet a sweater. I've got one and half sleeves done so far... hope I finish it before the babies out grow it.
Love you lots,
Pam
Dear Roxy, How cozy is this post!!! I have been meaning to leave a comment for a long time now. But I just loved hearing about your learning to knit. Sure does inspire me a lot. I haven't picked up my needles since before the baby was born. Can't spare a minute these days. Can barely get my posts out also.
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to drop by and tell you how much I love you and how much I am truly missing your dear company. you don't know how much I love you and how much you have encouraged me in the journey of my life. You are a second mother to me and I hope you know that I am so blessed by you.
LOVE YOU SO MUCH ROXY
~ Marie
Hi Roxy,
ReplyDeleteStill reading through your blog as I can. If you still want to learn to make mittens, I wrote about a Knit Picks tutorial video I found.
