I'm gonna let it shine

Let it shine, let it shine...

Sometimes I'm overwhelmed by the darkness in this world.

But, when it's really dark even the little light becomes brighter!

Choose to be the light!

Because we are called to lead others.

If you know the truth, you don't want to stand back and allow

Someone to fall into the dark abyss.

I'm not an evangelist or preacher,

But I am a woman after God's own heart...

"So mostly I share the gospel through my lifestyle

My character

Being faithful in the small things

Help where I can

Give where we are called to give

Walk in love toward others"

Is your light a little dull lately?

Don't despair.

Destiny and providence will prevail.

Sometimes it's just a time to get recharged

Get plugged into the Word!

Ask God to illuminate His Word

Sing the old time hymns

Get on your knees and just say Jesus, Jesus

He hears every question and the He knows

The burdens we carry.

Help in times of being in a little dark corner is this;

Get back-up!!!

Get plugged in!!

Change to a larger watt light bulb...

God has given us resources, but you have to use them!

Everything is going to be hard!

But as you use your spiritual muscles,

And begin to help someone else, your troubles

Will begin to shrink.

Love Light will expose the plan that darkness

Tries to hide its intent.

Be not deceived, Look to the Hills where your help

Comes from...

Even if it's cloudy outside right up above the clouds, 

the Sun is shining!

If it is dark or dim in your home,

Turn on those little lights in every room.

Chase the darkness away!

Because we have a light that can change

Darkness into the most, sweet calming atmosphere!

Have You Learned To Be Content...

I think learning to be content is a life long process for me!

Some days just go smoother and times where you don't feel

The overwhelming feeling of too much to do!

To be real, let me just say I feel like Goldilocks,

Everything has to be just right:

Not too hot and not too cold!

But as we mature and grow older we do learn to not over-react,

Or to allow every little thing or inconvenience to irritate us.

One of the greatest attributes of a Christian is to stay calm!

My downside is mostly when I am tired or hungry.

But these are the actual times I try to practice staying calm and kind.

What does contentment look like or feel like for you?

Today I will catch a little joy, and keep it close to my heart!

Good sleep is a sweet gift,

 To hear the birds singing is natures music.

May my character and influence go out like a sweet fragrance.

May the light of the moon resemble my smile.

May my words be like a songbird's tune.

Love changes everything

A quiet spirit is of priceless value

May the oil of gladness anoint your hearts

Just stop and rest, allow God's peace to fill your heart

Beware of empty conversations

Refuse an evil report

Intentions are not actions

Correct me in Love

Diligence is man's precious possession

Life is hard and often unfair. Yet we hear in the words of Jesus in Psalm 37 

"Blessed are the meek, He said, for they shall inherit the earth

So as my days come and go I desire to settle into the Lords

Contentment fresh and new everyday...

The secret of peace and contentment is to keep the

Heart free from care and anxiety even in the midst of trials.

May my eye never be upon the trial I am in, but rather

The living God who controls every circumstance I will

Encounter in my life time.

So contentment is an attitude of the heart;

Or your frame of mind??

And I believe what teaches us contentment

Are all the trials and just living life in knowing,

That God's providence is at work in your life.

You are being taught to persevere and to let the growth happen.

Every day and every situation is a chance to 

Be content...

I Have Had Heaven On My Mind...

~Longing For A Better Country~

They were longing for a better country--a heavenly one...

Hebrews 11:16

I know Heaven is real because it's in my heart!

It's like you just know some days you are just passing through this world.

The old song, in the by and by;

We shall meet on that beautiful shore.

But Heaven gets closer every day, and definitely ever new year that rolls up!

I think we are supposed to long for Heaven,

To look forward to the majestic glory that awaits us!

As long as I am alive on this earth, I know I'm not really home.

We are told to set our affections on things above,

Not on things on the earth, Colosians 3:2

I believe we are far more attached to earth than heaven.

The Bible uses the term heaven in three separate and distinct ways.

The atmosphere

The celestial

The dwelling place of God

It is in this third sense I am speaking of.

For Christians, our citizenship is in heaven.

I am waiting patiently, but with great expectation.

~Recognition In Heaven~

I fully believe we will know and recognize all those

We have ever known here while on earth that have gone before us!

If we are called brothers and sisters in Christ here on earth;

Why would we not still be family while living in our Father's house?

Jesus has gone to prepare a home for you. John 14:3

I am going to share with you a pearl;

I have always had this beautiful picture in my mind and heart,

Of what my room or abode will look like.

I definitely have roses and lovely colors of pastel.

And I can hear the waves lapping in the distance.

And I very large bookcase filled with every book that I have

Ever wanted to read that was pure.

And to know all those I loved that loved Christ were right close by!

Never alone, or afraid, or sickly or weak ever again.

And I can join a hymn singing or a camp meeting anytime I want!

And God's Glory will fill my heart and the atmosphere.

The gloominess and darkness to be vanquished.

The colors will be vibrant, creativity will be profound.

Love will be tangible...

These are my thoughts on what my heavenly home will be like.

~Crowns~

Scripture talks about crowns that will be given.

Scripture talks about 5 different crowns we can win.

{Makes me think of Paul telling us to run our race to win the Prize}

Crown of Life =

Overcoming and enduring trials and persecution

Crown of Righteousness =

Completing your race with integrity and fulfilling your ministry

Incorruptible Crown =

Given to the disciplined, A spirit of excellence.

Crown of Rejoicing =

A Soul Winner, Sharing the Gospel

Crown of Glory =

Sacrificial ministry, pastors

I believe these crowns will not be something I will wear on my head,

But rather

Your reward will be the capacity you will for service in Heaven!

I have enjoyed thinking about heaven and writing this post;

I do have a great imagination, yet heaven will be more beautiful

Then we could even imagine.

But, I know He  will have my room in His mansion ready for me.

When it is time for me to leave this earth and this tent.

One day I will have a glorified body to put on!

Angels Among Us...

~Angels Among Us~

Have you ever seen an angel?

Well, I have met a few in my life!

Some of these Angels have probably been truly Angels,

Sent from God as ministering spirits to me in a time of great need.

And I hope that sometime in my life I have had the privilege to show

Hospitality to an Angel!

But this post is really about the Angels that walk among us...

Real humans that God has sent into your life to minister to you!

Oh, my heart overflows as I look back on the times I've been helped;

In times of hardship and times of needing a word of wisdom.

The Holy Scriptures speak of the Angelic 

Mighty Angels, And one day we will all get to see them in Heaven.

But, I know we live in a world that has much sin, but be not fooled,

There are those in the world that have been put in your path;

To speak words of wisdom, maybe words of correction.

To speak words of Blessings.

To come alongside you maybe for a moment or a day.

But some people are in your life for years!

I am so grateful for those that have ministered to me in my life!

But may I say what a joy to minister to another soul in need!

My days are simple,

 yet I always keep an eye out for divine appointments.

God is always looking for someone to do His work;

A helping hand a smile, a word of encouragment.

~You my dear ones can be and Angel to someone~

I desire to be a useable vessel.

Yet, I know my shortcomings and weekness'es

"God can and will use anyone He chooses"

But telling Him you are willing opens the door of your heart!

I must say we need wisdom from the Lord in these days.

Because we have so many people on the make,

To try to steal and cause harm.

Being Filled...

How are you being filled?

So many people are feeling empty;

I think some it comes from the fast pace in our world today!

We just need to slow down and be still for a moment!

When we encourage someone, something happens to us.

We were made to be a vessel that pours out into others.

Call it affirmation, call it whatever you want.

But there is a natural and a spiritual encouragement.

And we need both!

We need each other!

And this is why when we have been rejected,

We feel a deep sense of loss and hurt.

If you live long enough, you will probably experience this.

It's very painful, because we were made to build up.

I share this because this is the month we celebrate the Love.

But we live in a world we say we love others, but true love

Takes work and dedication and suffers long.

It is patient and kind, thinks no evil,

Is not easily provoked.

Bears all things, does not behave rudely.

It is never jealous or envious.

I like to think it hardly notices when others do you wrong.

We are not to be so fragile we fall apart when we are

Looked at wrongly.

I want to love others as Christ loved me.

I want to speak the truth in love.

I want to forbear others in love.

Why??

Because God is love...

So, may I walk in love!

Perfect love in me cast out all fear!

So, what does this have to do with being filled?

We are called to encourage one another to be filled with;

LOVE...

Why?

~Because LOVE never fails~

Are you tired or weary?

Have you been hurt?

~Forgive them, and forgive yourself~

Don't be robbed of one more moment of peace and joy!

Today is a new beginning.

The old hurts or pain can no longer keep you captive.

How To Be A Faithful Steward...

 

~Desire To Be A Faithfull Steward~

"Moreover it is required in stewards that one

Firstly, What is a Steward?

A person who has been put in charge of something!

And I can say this, everyone has something that is

In their possession that they are in charge of.

As stewards, we are not owners.

Even if something is bought and paid for;

We are caretakers of whatever we have.

I have always known that all we have belongs to God.

Even our very breath belongs to Him!

I want to be a good steward and be responsible for what God

Has entrusted to me as His daughter!

It is a wonderful thing to be faithful...

I first began understanding how everything that I had was really God's

We are given something, and he watches to see if we are good stewards.

I mean everything...

Your clothes they must be washed and mended and hung or folded neatly.

Your car no matter how old it might be should be maintained,

Washed, cleaned inside, throw the trash out.

Smells clean...

I Truly have ridden in a car that was just plain filthy!

Until you take care of what you have you will not get anything nicer.

~Be content with what you have~

And it's not just possessions!

We are to protect and prosper our minds and heart.

You are the keeper of the body you have been given.

Remember the parable of the talents?

Well, this means you have talents that you must be mindful of

And using them to bring God glory.

And every day we all have the same amount of time.

How are you using the hours and the moments?

Being a good steward is about being faithful.

And it includes our motive in everything.

It starts with the little things...

Give and be generous to others.

Generosity is huge!

You have been given unique gifts and talents for the whole;

Wherever he directs you to use them!

But it always starts with the Home!

Use your energy wisely

Use your money with accountability

Treat your home like a castle!

Be a blessing to your family and friends.

Be thankful...

Be grateful...

He came once, and He is coming again

My heart is overflowing and expectant in the coming of Christ!

He wants to draw His Church closer.

Each Christmas season we are given the chance to lean in!

Stop and quiet your heart...

Slow down and ponder the miracle of life.

Take a moment and think about what season you are in?

Are you young and beautiful and wrinkle-free?

Are you old enough to know better??

Each season holds seeds that must be sown,

You are still required to plant;

You can either feel overwhelmed or giddy like a child.

I must remind myself, God rules time and eternity...

One way to be well equipped is to hide God's Word in your heart.

Stop the negative thoughts and emotions

Don't allow all the memories of the past to haunt your heart.

It's totally normal to miss those Christmas past!

We have lost those loved ones that have gone before us.

Kids have grown and moved away!

This year is almost gone,

But encourage yourself as a New One is right around the corner.

God makes all things new...

It seems to be the one place that calms our hearts,

And fill us with that sweet peace...

If you will just focus on your space that has been allotted to you.

For when we give our homes the light and the love it craves.

This is the time of year many will go hunting;

It's a thing that many find so rewarding.

Getting out into nature, many do it together as a family.

For some, the meat will sustain them through the cold months.

I have always thought of myself as a meat and potatoes gal.

Nothing wrong with salads and fresh fruits and vegetables.

But my body has always thrived on cooked foods.

Elk meat has always been my most favorite meat!

I feel like we are being watched and monitored!

After the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the divide got wider.

I pretty much prefer a quiet life,

But I will not be silenced.

Something is strange about this time of year;

So many Christians still celebrate Halloween.

Christians vote Democrate's in and claim to be Christians.

Headlines on social media and articles everywhere

Are vying for my attention.

I want my own brain and thoughts back;

I will not comply with what they are telling me.

When I stay in the Word and do what is required of me.

I live in truth, not some AI reality.

I have a brain, and I also have the mind of Christ!

We just returned from a trip where we traveled over 3500 miles.

The trip allowed us to have a different perspective.

We met so many friends and family we have known and loved

For years, but we had little in common when it came to Christ!

Okay, this may be just a ramble, but if I ever get arrested

for being a Christian, will there be enough evidence to convict me?

I am personally appalled at the state of our education system! 

I would never allow my children to be in a position where they,

Were being indoctrinated with the narrative of this worlds system.

I tried the public school system and was aghast even way back then,

At what they were trying to pull TDM, the Golden Coin!

New Age Junk!!

The Bible says to teach your own children

To train your own children

Okay, here goes my spiel, or rant...

 "Why You Should Home School Your Children"

Every parent should want their children to be,

Educated, not Indoctrinated

We are seeing across our nation the results of,

Ideological collateral damage,

Starting in kindergarten to our prestigious colleges.

The government of your state may see your children as

Property of the State.

(Not your precious gift from the Lord)

Just be aware they are grooming the children,

Instead of teaching the 3 R's

The once great schools, now have professors with an agenda!

I'm not saying every teacher is bad, I'm saying even the

Teachers are being fed the propaganda!

Private Schools may be more regulated.

Christian Schools may be more tempered.

Home Schooling is fitted to individual needs and concerns!

Controlled by the Parents!

Children and even adults are products of their's

Environments'/ They will become like the children they

Are around the most!!

Even as an adult, you will start thinking and acting like

Those you are around the most!

This damage can last for the rest of their lives.

I am careful of who I choose to spend time with,

Because you start taking up their mannerism's,

Their way of thinking!!

When I went to school, we were taught these silly things.

Critical Thinking

Reading comprehension

Math!! Not Core Math

To read a clock that was not digital

To read a Map

To write in Cursive

To sign your name, "Not Print"

To Type

To Read real Books

To Play nice with others

To be kind and courteous

To be responsible, to take care of your books.

Learned to be on time!

I could go on for a long time;

Schools use to be great!

The McGuffy readers and the Bible were text books!

What we must see is this, who is teaching your Children??

A Teacher or an Activist???

At a teacher parent conference now days:

Parents become submissive to the teacher!

Socialism is running our schools!

Communism is what they are striving for!

"Little Robots"

You can't think for yourself anymore!

Do you want to be submissive to the government?

Or Obey God?

Who founded the school system??

Who is running the schools?

Are the schools even safe anymore???

You should teach your children, 

Even if it's after they get home from the institution...

Parents must have the confidence, they can acquire everything

They would need to teach their own children-

With all the resources that are available now days!

Dad's and Grandparents can help!

Public Schools did not come over on the Mayflower!

It's not in the 10 Commandments.

Look, be aware of what your children and Grandchildren are being fed!

Processed information with an agenda,

Please be mindful and don't turn a blind eye!

There watching us, so you must be watching them!

Just a note here; all my children are grown, and I have 

Great- Grandchildren;

 And if anything things have gotten much worse!

I started writing in journals for a few grandchildren;

But, I have this profound memory of when

My Mother passed away, I just kept thinking

And watching and looking for a letter from her!

One last card in the mail and little note!

Sometimes when I go through some of my things,

I will run across some letters or cards for my Birthday!

Also those recipe cards in my stash of her handwriting.

The sweet memories and the gift of still having it!

So I guess this Fall will be me making the time to write out

A special note card or a letter to each one of them!

I am blessed with a lot of Grandchildren

 and two Great-Grandchildren

Iv'e been thinking of that sweet song

Jesus Loves the Little Children of the World

Every Single One

They Are Precious In His Sight

I will continue to Write and Post on this Blog;

Working By Faith

Everything that I will do in my life as a Christian;

I'm writing this post on this topic, because I have seen 

Disastrous situation's from having someone in your wedding party,

Completely ruining a lovely wedding!

Now, as we all know a wedding is one of the most important

Ceremonies in a couple's relationship.

And this is something that is actually a covenant made with God!

I know the Bride may feel she must ask family members,

To be a part of her wedding party!

Or asking an old friend that does not hold her values.

I know it can be a sticky situation!

Your feeling pressured and Mothers and Mother in laws

Can put you on the spot!

But after being a part of weddings and being a guest

at Weddings for years, I have obsrved how bad choices of who is

in your wedding, can ruin the atmosphere.

I may be old fashion, but it seems to me that if you are standing up

 for a Bride and Groom to make a vow to stay together for life.

Would you not want someone who will help you to cherish your marriage?

Not, disagree with their choice.

And to be happy for them and desire to celebrate their union?

Drama and the look at me syndrome is not apprpriate for a brides maid.

Marriage ceremonies should be holy and sweet!

You are there to serve and help the Bride!

Not to take control and to overcome everything.

So this all being said;

Pick those that will love and support you!

Standing up along side someone in a marriage ceremony,

Is not a play but a serious matter in the site of God!

I have seen Brides so hurt and devestated by the actions,

of those she picked to stand with her.

And if they do not respect your Husband to be;

Do not choose them, just to be polite, or to please others!

Straighten Up And Fly Right...

 

Suffering, Sorrow, Storms...

What is something all these things have in our lives?

These are the very things that God will use in our lives;

To produce Faith and Endurance!

Wimpy, Watered Down, Living situations,

Will produce weak and unstable hearts and minds.

When we get everything we want without any struggles,

You will never build up any strength!

There has been a barrage of mental illness;

In a world that has never been told to straighten up

And to fly right, 

We condone weirdness, and bizarreness as this culture has been

The god of this world

We are told to gird up our hearts and minds.

When we are told to be set apart, it means to

Not look like the world, talk like the world, act like the world.

It does not mean we cannot have fun or celebrate the good things!

Put on tender Mercies each day

Cover yourself with garments of Praise

Set a Guard over your mouth

Run from the wickedness that lurks

Beware of what you mark yourself with...

God is the only one that marks us for good works

People act and dress like clowns, or maybe everyday

They celebrate halloween spirits to scare something away?

They scare me...

I use to be a people watcher, no more;

I mind my own business;

I do not want to give them the attention they seek!

Just because everyone else is doing it does not make it right

Okay, enough

Lets walk in a way that pleases the Lord

Can we just dress with dignity?

Anything that was done for self-display

or self-glory will fail to receive a reward.

The steady resolve of just one person can turn

the tide of a battle.

Watch your step

Stay in the light

Who Actually Makes These Rules Anyways....

 

Some things just need to find their flow...

Rules

So many rules that we have in our own lives.

Which are actually of our own choosing mostly.

These may have been the very things that have stunted our

"Spiritual Walk and our Peace of Mind"

You must figure out how you are unique,

And what fills your life with true you...

We are not cookie cutter people;

We are fearfully and wonderfully made!

Sometimes we can be triggered by thinking;

I need to do this or that!

Who makes these rules anyways?

You hear that voice in your head...

You are supposed to be doing this and that now!!

That makes you feel sick to your stomach?

And most the time it is things don't really matter!

We must change this feeling of dread into doing

The things that blend into the harmony

Of your wellbeing

 Sometimes it could just

Be that changing the time of day you do something.

Planning things when you have more strength!

Or clarity of mind.

"All of our Christian life is learning to be a Christian"

And this cannot happen in the same way for everyone.

So we should blend all are wonderful

Energies and experiences into a sweeter rhythm of our days

"It is about bringing our hearts and minds into complete

Subjection to our King"

So many are feeling overwhelmed and heavy hearted;

Stop and ask the Lord how to re-orchestrate your days.

I no longer what be a  part of the Rat-Race or

The status queue...

The conquest of this may be slow,

But so worth the peace and calm!

And I also think you will be more able to hear 

~His Still Small Voice~

The Greatest Mathematical Exercise In The Universe...

I don't want to just merely exist.

I want to live aware and alive, and on purpose.

I want to learn and create something special daily.

Our days are a holy gift.

I want the light of my ordinary days filled with joy;

And every day miracles...

~And this is how we do it~

Slow down, Love your life!  "Because it's a gift"

Rest on a Holy Rest "He has made provisions"

Create something, "Even if it's just a peaceful atmosphere"

If you are a fighter, "Then Fight for Joy"

I realized that counting my blessings

Is the greatest mathematical exercise in the universe!

A thankful heart adds purpose and clarity to your day!

Time is speeding up, so to counteract this we slow down;

And savor the moments and seasons!

I will not be robbed of the precious moments,

I am given each day!

Use your gifts every day!

If we do not encourage others, they will slowly wilt.

(Like a plant that is not given a drink)

~I want to be someone who has a teachable spirit~

I want the Lord to look at this daughter and say,

I think I will give her another portion of chocolate cake,

Because she enjoyed that first slice I gave her so much!

If you will take what He has given you,

And use it to bless or encourage others.

He will give you more...

Especially if we give it away or share it!

A story:

 I remembered one time many years ago, when I went with a friend we had a special day planned, we were going shopping together. Back in the day, this was a big deal! We headed out and what an impact the trip was for me. Spiritually and learning a lesson!

So we traveled for a Shopping day in a different city. As she was wanting to spend some birthday money, her Father had sent her for her Birthday. And she was wanting to buy some art products, because she is an artist. And as we were having tea and scones in a little tea shop. (Her Treat for me) She pulled out some money and handed it to me, and I said what's this for? And she said it's no fun shopping together if you don't have part of the special gift I was given. I want to share my Birthday blessings with you!

So, I guess the moral of this story is this.

It touched me so profoundly!

Be A Giver, In your time, your money, your talents, your joys! Because it's a gift to be used and enjoyed!

There Are Only Two Tracks, Beware Of Your Surroundings...

Past, Present And Future...

The Narrow Way

And The Road That leads To Destruction

Have you ever had this feeling;

 You were headed down the wrong path?

Or you found yourself in the wrong place;

In a very wrong timing?

Every single day we are up against the responsibility

To be accountable of where and when we are in any

Given situation...

It's not like I'm real big on intuition,

But, if you have even just once known that you knew,

You were not in a good place or situation!

We hopefully have all heard the phrase in these last

Few years is this one...

"Have your head on a swivel"

Look around people

There are a few bad apples out there

They are just lurking around looking for maybe

Who or What they can steal, kill or defile?

Hey, remember I'm the positive and encourage other Blogger,

Kinda gal!!

But, I would not be a good friend if I did not tell you

Or warn you of this undercurrent that is spilling over!

It's like a floodgate has opened and lawlessness as was

Given the okay to just flood every city and town.

Look around, they are watching you out of the corner of their eye.

I use to feel safe and go anywhere by myself,

Well, NO MORE

My Grandma back in the day would say,

Those Hoolagins are up to No GOOD!

I know with all my heart that we must make good choices!

What and Where we go and the things we do;

If you make yourself vulnerable, remember this;

All have a consequence!

For yourself and others!

So what this post is trying to convey to you all is this!

Be aware of your surroundings;

Be loving and kind, But not stupid...

These Hooligans usually work in a pack.

One is watching, one is scoping, one is trying to 

Get your attention!

Never park next to a Van!!!!!!

If there is a flyer on your windshield on your window

Do Not Touch It

If there is writing on your car, Beware they have targeted you!

If there are two people in a car parked by yours, Beware,

They may be trying to grab your purse or steal your car!

If they have a gas can and ask for help, Beware!

Just saying: Because I've had all these happen.

Then when something happens, we hear I never saw this coming!

Well, I have had the unfortunate experience 

In the Past of being a target...

So at the Present time in my life, I will be wise!

"Be mindful of who is around you!"

So in the Future, You can protect yourself and

Your loved ones by having the inner alarm fined tuned!

Behold, I send you out as sheep

In the midst of wolves.

Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.

But beware of men.

Matthew 10:16

The whole world is a mission field.

Share when you can

Use wisdom

So stay on the right track

Going in the right direction

And in the right timing...

Run, turn around, never put yourself in a position

Of being harmed in any way!!
