Verbatim...

Verbatim, Living from Glory to Glory blog

I must say that unless it has been recorded, we cannot be sure of
Exactly what someone may have said.

We talk so much in just an average day, that sometimes
we can forget a name or time or date.
And even some very pertinent facts of a story.

My heart goes out to so many people;
And we need to try to get the details straight.
But, we can be in danger of repeating things that should not be repeated.

I want to be slow to speak and quick to hear;
But I think it tends to be the other way around!

I sometimes think of that very disrespectful saying that goes,
Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah
Now, would that hold up in the courts of this land?
Well, maybe...
My point is this we must realize we can really add our personal
Feelings or thoughts on something
 And at times it can be perfectly fine.

But we mostly can be adding fuel to a fire!

Have you ever been so sorry that you opened your mouth?

Speaking is a privilege, not the freedom we make it!
Freedom of speech is something God has given us!
But it comes with responsibility!

May we all try harder to get our facts straight;
Or tell someone I don't want to answer that.
Maybe you should talk to the source.

We all need auto correct;
Oh wait, that could also get you into trouble,
As even with that we cannot be certain of what is really trying to be conveyed!

Well, you must all really want MY opinion on every matter!
After many years of being a bit different!
I have learned that this world is not waiting to hear what I think!
My opinion is just that;
MY opinion!

But we need to speak truth in love;
I have been trying a little experiment,
When I am giving what I believe is what the situation calls for,
I have not been looking into the person's face, but rather speaking
 Slowly and gently and looking at my hands or out a window.
 It has seemed to stop some of the confrontation that sparks!
May our words bring light!

This world is just looking for a fight!
Our battle is not with people, it just seems that way!

Choose your words and battles wisely...

I think the only Verbatim we will see is when God looks at
Every word we have spoken
(Verbatim)

Shortcomings...

Weakness and strength, Glory to Glory Blog

Weakness And Strengths

You will never be transformed by continually looking at your own shortcomings,
never !
Nor will you ever be transformed by looking at the weakness of
your fellow christian.

"You will only be conformed by continually looking upon the glory
of the Lord Jesus-"

For they who live looking and beholding , though they know it not,
are being"changed from glory to glory by the spirit of God"

God will use both your weaknesses and strengths!
We are beautiful and with a purpose He has ordained!

When a trial comes hard and fast;
I feel the axle of my being wanting to tilt.
But I have been practicing to stay upright.
Remember those Weeble people?
They might weeble, but they won't fall down.

Do you feel more aware of your shortcomings?
I have had to ask myself, is this the enemy taunting me?
For I know the ways of the spirit, gently woos and shows me!

When I am in sin, He convicts me strongly;
That whisper that shows you are wrong.
Obey quickly...

I get tired of the enemy pointing out my shortcomings!
(Like I am not already aware of them)

My Hubby and I need to re-connect after we were slam blasted
with trauma and worry!

But, God is gracious and has helped us once again!

Sometimes we need to just go out for a meal together!
Hold hands, and count your blessings.
Pray for all those who are in need of prayer!
Do a kind deed for someone!

I desire to be a kind and gracious women;
But we all can feel the strain and stress of life's struggles!

Do we give up?
No, we never give up!
Keep looking into His word;
Lay your burdens down!
He knows we are but dust...

We must remind ourselves that we are just passing through!
We can't live in the short stop;
But rather the long haul!
From Glory to Glory

Be beautiful inside and out, as you are a special treasure!

Love Letters...

Living from Glory to Glory Blog

Seasons will come and go as we are all very aware of this!
But sometimes we just need to hang on to those words or memories.

Can you just close your eyes and see those sweet faces or places;
Of the past of days or years.

People and places and even a song;
can trigger a memory that can still captivate your heart!

We need new eyes each day to explore the gifts just waiting for us!
Yet having a treasure kept in the back of a drawer;
Or a pressed leaf or flower in the pages of your Bible!

May we not become blind and deaf in those sights and sounds,
Of our children giggling and playing.
Or your Husband sitting in his chair saying the evening grace.
These are powerful gifts God has given us!

These glimpses of the days that have come and gone;
They are treasures for us to pull out and to ponder.
As Mary did with Jesus.

But, I feel an excitement to hear and see with a new enthusiasm!
Do not become bored with your life and those in your family!
Live like today is the most precious day of them all!

Wake up!
Can you just hear with ears attuned to the song that God is
Singing over you...
Why does God say so many times a warning of these words?
"Those that have ears to hear"

I will not be one of those who will not hear the whole council,
Of God's Word of truth!

Stop cheating yourself and see that we are all being lulled to sleep!

Stop taking scripture out of context!
 Yes, God can give you a special promise for a crisis!
(Believe me He is God)
But let's not make a new doctrine from one scripture...

God is a God of providence;
Not chance...

When I look back and see the hand of God in my life;
And how He is orchestrating things!

This is why God always reminded us on how He did what he did for Israel!
Our Hope is in His return.
Find the promises that are for the believers today!
He gave us such an amazing truth!
They are His love letters to us!
Stop reading between the lines;

(That is where the church gets itself in trouble)

Love Letters
Read His today...

First Responders...

Living from Glory to Glory Blog

Being a responder is profound in a world that is dull and seared.
We don't mean to be insensitive to people or things around us.
We have just been bombarded!

 As women in our marriages,
 We must be quick to respond to our men.
They need to feel wanted and important and respected.
Sometimes we can overlook a much needed response to them.

As homemakers we can get so overwhelmed with life;
We can just feel in a slump and not respond as we should!
Keeping things in a organized flow.

Our children can even get slightly overlooked, when
A day can fly by faster than imaginable.

We have so many needs in a world that is lost and desensitized.

"I believe women were created to be responders"

I know that to be a responder will cost you something...
But do we want a faith or a relationship that does not cost us anything?

If you will never put yourself out for another person's well being;
We will be self-centered and not Christ centered.

We had so many people praying for our dear lost grandson in the mountain!
We were just blown away from the outpouring of so many people.

We are all called to be responders!!
It will not look the same for each of us,
 But we must make the effort to meet
The needs of those who are hungry and thirsty
Those who need someone to show some compassion.

We all have been lost in one way or another!
I am praying to be more aware when the Lord gives me
A glimpse of when I need to respond!

There are well trained professional responders for
Natural disasters and search and rescue.

But we do not have to wait for a crisis or disaster to comply
with the scripture that the Lord gave us!

When we do respond it is as if we are doing it unto Jesus!

Matthew 25:31-46

31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.33 And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ 37 Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38 And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40 And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers,fn you did it to me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’ 44 Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’ 45 Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’ 46 And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

Clayton's Reunion And The News Clip...

Colorado Greenhorn Rescue, Survival in the wilderness,

Family Bond

We have many bonds in our lives with many people.
The strongest bond is one of a parent and a child;
And a child with a grandparent.
This is family!

But let us take notice of another family bond;
The Body of Christ;
Where your children, become important to us all!

Children and the Body of Christ is the realization that we
All have a heavenly Father who cares and has a plan for each of us!

God asks us this very question;
Are you not you're brother's keeper?

Our entire family wants to Thank each and every person that lifted up a prayer
That
Was given in our grandsons behalf.

No one found our grandson;
It was only God who led him from the forest.
We were told that this part of the forest is referred to as hell,
Because of its dark and dense conditions.
(REALLY)

The search party was not even looking in the right place on this mountain.
Only God knew where he truly was at every moment of every hour;
Of a 27 hour ordeal!

May we all stop nit picking on those we love; and realize that
most irritations are very small in the grand scheme of things!

Wisdom is not usually lofty and high.
But rather God's command to love one another;
As you love yourself!

Only a few brave ones will lay down their lives for others.
We do this in prayer for others!
We do this with actions by helping others!
Just giving a cup of cold water in His name will bring Him Glory!

Here is the TV news clip of his story!

Our Grandson Has Been Rescued...

We have witnessed a miracle and answered prayer!
Out Grandson has been found and he is healthy.
I do not know the whole story, but they allowed him to call me!

My heart is full of gratitude and my faith in God did not waver.
Scared and the longest 24 hours of my life.

Rescue workers and dogs and even a helicopter helped in the search!
I will forever be grateful for all your prayers and love you all
extended to myself and our family;
But mostly for praying for our grandson.

Will share more another time!

The Cinderella Syndrome...

Living from Glory to Glory Blog
Artist; Carolina Elizabeth

The Cinderella in all of us...

I feel pretty, oh so pretty....
Ta Daaa!

Everyday we awake with a whole wonderful script written out for each of us.
 We have all the lines and scenes all ready written out!
We get to play the leading role....

Your Cinderella
(The Princess)

And we all have a Fairy God Father
(The King of Kings)

We all have a wicked step Mother
(Satan the big deceiver)

When we stop looking in the mirror and examining
our own faces and our body size.
And;
Start looking into His word and examining our hearts!

We really do become pretty and you act pretty.
Remember Cinderella, she did do all the right things;
It was a matter of her heart and obedience to those in authority.

But the key here for me is this;
There is only one true authority, and I am His loyal subject.

I don't want to ride around in a pumpkin
And where glass slippers.
But I do want to feel loved and valued.
So what we are called to do is to love others;
Help them to feel special and reward them for their goodness.
Giving honor to others will put you in the right place.
Most issues are heart issues!
Jealousy, bitterness, and anger will keep you
from being a Cinderella.
As in God's eyes if you have given Christ your heart first;
You are now a real princess!

And you do not even have to ride to the great banquet in a pumpkin.

So many are looking for a fairy tale story!
"Why not live your very own real life story"
Be who He has created you to be...

May the real Cinderella please stand up...

Do not give up and keep your heart open to His direction.
Here is a lovely bouquet of flowers for all you do,

Ordinary Task In Ordinary Days...

Do You find yourself daydreaming?

Well, wake up sunshine!
Hopefully you're living your dream...

Ever notice that what you thought it would be like is not anything;
like it at all?

Well, according to my calculations, every time
"I thought I thought  it out"
It always was a wee bit different then I imagined.

And oh, everything is subject to change,
NOT CHANCE
But, His divine providence!

Do Mondays always get you down?

Well knock it off honey cause Mondays are the beginning
of a Homemakers week!

How many loads of laundry have you done so far today!
Let me guess, Hmmmm
How many children do you have?

You get the point/////

Remember on Sunday you resolved to worship;
Well, Mondays you need to resolve also to schedule your week.

One thing that always helps me is that we only have one day,
At a time to manage. And if we manage today well, tomorrow.
Will go smoother!

Cleaning and scrubbing and folding laundry can be a form of worship.
It is in the ordinary days and the ordinary task that bring
 "Glory To God"

We are called to clean and refresh and tidy our hearts our lives
And our homes...

(Take this time to prepare)

Being prepared for what your family needs!

Take joy and pleasure in this day!

Remember faithfulness in little things is a big thing!

Spiritual progress can be stopped by grumbling and questioning

Make a plan, be flexible, smile!
Don't take things too seriously, so when something serious does happen
You can be calm and slide right down whatever obstacle is put in your path!

Barns And Their Beauty...

Barn, Country, Rustic, Living from Glory to Glory Blog

Barns and their haunting beauty...

They stand in majestic stature.

No matter their age or how they have withstood the years.
They are beautiful...

Living from Glory to Glory Blog

Some barns stand in solitude in a field all alone...

Living from Glory to Glory Blog

They have stood so long, that their last coat of red paint
has faded to a rustic color...

Living from Glory to Glory Blog

Some have windows, with the glass panes long ago broken out and missing...

Tin Roof, Living from Glory to Glory Blog

The rust has set in on the tin roofs...

Living from Glory to Glory Blog

A gray barn seems to say "I am different and I am Okay"

This barn has been kept in prime condition,
It has had many face lifts in its many years!

Lonely and unattended...

Proud and tall and on its original rock foundation.
"A firm foundation"

Even to the setting sun
You are beautiful...

Barns are as American as apple pie and freedom...

A green barn seems out of place, but it was quaint!
Country and stylish...

"A working barn"

Large and lovely she was a grand barn in her day...

Barns were part of the livelihood for the American frontier and families...

A barn is a home to these little ones...

This barn is on a big incline;
It was probably hard in the winter snows and ice...

A side of a barn...

This barn was over 100 years old!
Just better with age...

Which way is the wind blowing?

How many hands have touched this barn door handle?

Good fences and boundaries keep us safe...

"Fields of gold and amber waves"
The breadbasket...

The harvest is gathered and placed in the waiting barns...

May this be a blessing to all who get to see the amazing
 Heritage we have in this country
"May God bless America"
From sea to shining sea...

Feel free to forward this post...

Just Hurry Up...

Living From Glory to Glory Blog
 Silly Rabbit

Running Your race! Living from Glory to Glory Blog
 The Winner

Would you just hurry up!

People are driving like they are all on the way to the hospital;
With someone in labor in the back seat.

Everything we are doing now days seem like we are in a race.

I think of that story of the tortoise and the hare.
We all know how that ended;
We have this mentality that if we are fast or the first one;
We are the winner....
Wait a minute here, was it not the slow one who just kept
going in the right direction that won?

We see very little patience in our world today!
Being slower has been perceived as being a looser

If it takes a bit longer than a little bit of time it is wasting time.
I do not want to have to hurry with everything I do in a day.
For I may never pass this way again....

What are we missing when we find ourselves tired and stressed?
There is a peace that we should carry for all the world to see!

Have you had the feeling, like I want to just quit?
GOOD

Now, we can take a step back and resolved our hearts to go
At the pace God has given you.
Our purpose is not to be the first one to cross the finish line.
But rather be able to be counted on as to be present and available.

Now, that silly rabbit shot off that starting line like he was going to win the race.
But, because he did not pace himself, he grew tired and stopped to take a nap.
(Is the church sleeping or napping)

Believe me, there are days all I want to do is just stop and take a nap.
Nothing wrong with naps, if we are pacing ourselves;
And we keep ourselves on the narrow way and keep going on in,
The right direction...
We can't give up and stop running our race.
But rather let us keep a steady pace and enjoy all that we have,
Going on in our lives!

So let us not be silly rabbits!
If you have started something, finish it!

How To Make Homemade Granola With Walnuts And Coconut...

Granola, coconut, Walnuts, Living from Glory to Glory Blog

Making your own Granola is a very practical and cost effective.
This is a staple food item for eating as a cereal or using it on top of your yogurt.

You can improvise with many different choices of nuts or fruit.
I think what makes this granola work for me, is the coconut oil I use in it!
Also the coconut sugar, but you could use brown sugar if you like.
With so many recipes I have tried, they call for too much honey.
 and that makes it so wet and harder to dry.

The flax meal and wheat germ are added for extra nutrition.
But you can also eliminate them.
Also, you can also leave out the flour.

But it is the coconut and chopped walnuts that make it so yummy.

After it has completely dried out in the oven, I then let it cool
 And store it in an airtight container or a glass jar!

You can really taste the difference between fresh granola
and store bought brands. And the cost of the store brands has
doubled in cost. And the packages are smaller too.

Homemade Coconut and Walnut Granola

I wanted to share this my fewest closest 100 friends!
Every Granola I have made in the past has been lacking in either texture or taste;
So here is my creation of a Granola I would be willing to share…

Heat your oven to 250 degrees;
 (But you will turn it off to the lowest setting or the Warmer setting to bake it.
In a 9x13 pan
Place 3 TBL. Of organic coconut oil
1/3 cup of organic coconut sugar in the pan, place in oven to melt, only a few short minutes.
Pull it out of the oven and now add this mixture.
¼ cup mixture total of,
 2TBL. Coconut flour, and wheat germ, and ground flax seed (1/4 total)
 Now stir this into the melted coconut oil and sugar in the 9x13 pan.
Mix it up a bit; Now
Add 2 cups of organic rolled oats to the pan
1/3 cup flaked coconut
1/3 cup chopped walnuts
Mix this up and place it in a turned down oven to the lowest setting!
Stir often and watch carefully so it will not burn!
This needs to be only a warm oven; turn it off if it gets too hot;
You are only trying to DRY this mixture NOT cook it!!
Allow to cool well and store in a Glass jar.

Enjoy!

What are you creating in your kitchen?
