The Republic

Pray For America

A free America this is the republic for which we stand
One Nation under God

I am so thankful for being an American.
God has shed His grace on thee.

We will stand and not fall

We must stand united

Freedom

GOD BLESS AMERICA

If  My people who are called by My name will humble themselves,
and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways,
then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin
and heal their land. 2Chronicles7:14 NKJV

Fears Of Blogging...

I was just frozen with fear!
It came upon me with one little click of a button.
Trying to change my background turned into a
Maiden in distress.
I warned my  Hubby if I start to scream, I have just erased my Blog!
I still don't know if your suppose to remove your old background, before adding the new one.
Can anyone answer this for me?
I fully understand the dangers in Blogging.
I need support.
I must conquer my fears!
Feeling dizzy and weak!
Need nourishment!!!
Now, let me ask you other bloggers out there, before you had 7 zillion followers
Have YOU ever experienced this??
My sweet hubby applied his reading glasses and  tried to help me
Find the answers in my newly purchased Google Blogger For Dummies book.
I really do not know what I did, but my Blog is still alive
.
Blogging has definitely been a learning curve for me!
I have enjoyed having a place to love and encourage others.
May we not be fearful, But rather grow in new skills
And Beyond...

Something Does Not Feel Right...

Mr. Potato Head, Living From Glory To Glory Blog...
Hey Hey, Where's My Feet?

There is just something about this guy:
Mr. Potato Head
Sometimes we can have all the right pieces, but they're just not in the right places,
Or not doing the job they were created to do.
Ever feel like I just can't see it, and it's right in front of your face?

Other times I have to ask,
 What did He say?
I did not hear!!

Ever hear the expression (they talk out of both sides of their mouths)?
Ever wish you had an extra hand? LOL
What is really sad if you don't put your feet into it
 You're not going anywhere.
We got to move it, move it!

The sin of comparing ourselves to others, could possibly turn you into something that
Might resembles Mr. Potato Head.
Now look at him, he was a mess.
Each one should test his own actions.
Then he can take pride in himself, without
comparing himself to somebody else.

Jelly Time And Learning To Can Produce...

Living From Glory To Glory Blog. Learning to preserve foods
A Labor Of Love
My friends and I went to a class last night offered by our Extension Office.
It was on Pressure canning. The do's and dont's.
Wow, did we get checked!!!
Just because it's the way we have always done it does not make it SAFE.
It cost us 5 dollars!
And we all know in today's economy that is a deal.
We all also won a prize, which cost about 5 bucks.
So now the class is FREE.
It is time to learn and to update your knowledge on water bath canning,
And to learn how to pressure can, non acid foods, meat starch vegetables etc.
These old ways of putting up and back is the now new, of how to be prepared in these tough days of inflation in our food cost!
Can I hear an Amen?
What can we expect in the near future in our food cost?
I can make a real good guess...
It's going UP!
I want to know that I am doing something to protect my family when a loaf of bread cost
5 dollars.
Believe me it can happen overnight.
Educate yourself, learn to cook from basic ingredients.
Purchase a cookbook and a canning book!
It is all about having the staples.
Figure out what are the staples your family will need.
Stock up and not out of fear, but pure and simple wisdom!!
Fill your heart and home with the goodness of a
Labor of Love
"By perseverance the snail reached the ark."
By the way this was Plum Jelly and a Harvest Butter in the picture:)

Charming Wash Tubs

Wash Tubs

These wonderful charming wash tubs.
They speak of days gone by,
They were used for children's bath times many moons ago.
Women even used them to do laundry in with a wash board.

As a little girl my Grandmother would fill it with fresh
water every morning in the summer.  And we had our own
swimming pool!

Each one of my own grandchildren have
had the memories of a good time and summer fun
in their own tubs.

Making memories!

Take the time to have fun...

Spend time with those you love...

Sit at the Fathers feet, and thank the Lord above.
For time with your children is short, like a blink...

Days gone by, only memories!

Midlife crisis is that moment when you realize your children
and your clothes are about the same age.

Blessings, Roxy
