Sometimes We Just Need to Be Shielded
From the Onslaught of Busy...
Be Still And Know That I Am God
~ Enjoy the little things in life.
But one day you'll look back and realize
They were the Big Things~
I absolutely love this quiet season!
Some seasons are so busy you can't hear yourself think!
It's not that I want to hear myself think;
But rather hear the Lord directing my thoughts.
When you are not able to focus and you sense
a fever of the dreaded squirrel disorder!
It is time to pull back and re-adjust.
When the voices become a blur and you can't distinguish,
What is truly being said, you must slow down and be
Quick to listen...
I remember as a young girl being able to run everywhere!
After all, I had a pair of those PF Flyer Tennis Shoes.
But, I mostly just go at a steady pace.
Not quick or too slow
But moving in the right direction.
My calender is not so full of having to be here or there!
If I have the strength to do more on any given day;
I will just fly by the seat of my pants;
(Or Jumper)
God is always doing something new in our hearts
~If we will let Him~
When, I make a mistake when I am writing in my journal,
I will just pick out a pretty sticker and cover it up!
Don't make the mistake of not taking the time
To notice the little things in your day.
And if you do make a mistake ask God to forgive you!
And put a pretty sticker over the blunder!
The Word Says Love Covers a multitude of sins...
Happy Quiet Days
Much Love and Appreciation For Each
And Every One Of You...
Hugs, Roxy
I am so thankful for the Love that covers a multitude of sins...Great analogy of covering mistakes in your journal with a beautiful sticker...God covers us with His beauty and His Mercy and Grace.
ReplyDeleteVery wise words. Slow down. Smell the roses as my Mom used to say.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Your words are always, a treasure to read. T
ReplyDeleteRoxy Dear,
ReplyDeleteI do believe that "Love Covers a multitude of sins..."
We're humble creatures making so many mistakes, alas, sometimes even without wanting it, the Lord knows us and forgives us in His immeasurable Goodness.
Have a blessed day, lovely Friend
Daniela
I must say I did like this post today. I do believe we make mistakes and we have to forgive ourselves like God does, but it is hard. I too have slowed down in life. I wish I knew that earlier. Thanks for commenting on my post.
ReplyDeleteHi Roxy, thank you for visiting my blog the other day. I just updated my post and now catching up. I enjoyed reading your post today and I love what you said. I am trying balance my time leaning more towards spending time with God. I am off to read your bio. Happy Sunday!
ReplyDeleteBe still...some days that is a challenge but it's a good reminder that the 'noise' of life gets in the way of hearing from our Lord. Hope you are well, friend! {{hugs}}
