Ordinary Task In Ordinary Days...

Do You find yourself daydreaming?

Well, wake up sunshine!
Hopefully you're living your dream...

Ever notice that what you thought it would be like is not anything;
like it at all?

Well, according to my calculations, every time
"I thought I thought  it out"
It always was a wee bit different then I imagined.

And oh, everything is subject to change,
NOT CHANCE
But, His divine providence!

Do Mondays always get you down?

Well knock it off honey cause Mondays are the beginning
of a Homemakers week!

How many loads of laundry have you done so far today!
Let me guess, Hmmmm
How many children do you have?

You get the point/////

Remember on Sunday you resolved to worship;
Well, Mondays you need to resolve also to schedule your week.

One thing that always helps me is that we only have one day,
At a time to manage. And if we manage today well, tomorrow.
Will go smoother!

Cleaning and scrubbing and folding laundry can be a form of worship.
It is in the ordinary days and the ordinary task that bring
 "Glory To God"

We are called to clean and refresh and tidy our hearts our lives
And our homes...

(Take this time to prepare)

Being prepared for what your family needs!

Take joy and pleasure in this day!

Remember faithfulness in little things is a big thing!

Spiritual progress can be stopped by grumbling and questioning

Make a plan, be flexible, smile!
Don't take things too seriously, so when something serious does happen
You can be calm and slide right down whatever obstacle is put in your path!

Barns And Their Beauty...

Barn, Country, Rustic, Living from Glory to Glory Blog

Barns and their haunting beauty...

They stand in majestic stature.

No matter their age or how they have withstood the years.
They are beautiful...

Living from Glory to Glory Blog

Some barns stand in solitude in a field all alone...

Living from Glory to Glory Blog

They have stood so long, that their last coat of red paint
has faded to a rustic color...

Living from Glory to Glory Blog

Some have windows, with the glass panes long ago broken out and missing...

Tin Roof, Living from Glory to Glory Blog

The rust has set in on the tin roofs...

Living from Glory to Glory Blog

A gray barn seems to say "I am different and I am Okay"

This barn has been kept in prime condition,
It has had many face lifts in its many years!

Lonely and unattended...

Proud and tall and on its original rock foundation.
"A firm foundation"

Even to the setting sun
You are beautiful...

Barns are as American as apple pie and freedom...

A green barn seems out of place, but it was quaint!
Country and stylish...

"A working barn"

Large and lovely she was a grand barn in her day...

Barns were part of the livelihood for the American frontier and families...

A barn is a home to these little ones...

This barn is on a big incline;
It was probably hard in the winter snows and ice...

A side of a barn...

This barn was over 100 years old!
Just better with age...

Which way is the wind blowing?

How many hands have touched this barn door handle?

Good fences and boundaries keep us safe...

"Fields of gold and amber waves"
The breadbasket...

The harvest is gathered and placed in the waiting barns...

May this be a blessing to all who get to see the amazing
 Heritage we have in this country
"May God bless America"
From sea to shining sea...

Feel free to forward this post...

Just Hurry Up...

Living From Glory to Glory Blog
 Silly Rabbit

Running Your race! Living from Glory to Glory Blog
 The Winner

Would you just hurry up!

People are driving like they are all on the way to the hospital;
With someone in labor in the back seat.

Everything we are doing now days seem like we are in a race.

I think of that story of the tortoise and the hare.
We all know how that ended;
We have this mentality that if we are fast or the first one;
We are the winner....
Wait a minute here, was it not the slow one who just kept
going in the right direction that won?

We see very little patience in our world today!
Being slower has been perceived as being a looser

If it takes a bit longer than a little bit of time it is wasting time.
I do not want to have to hurry with everything I do in a day.
For I may never pass this way again....

What are we missing when we find ourselves tired and stressed?
There is a peace that we should carry for all the world to see!

Have you had the feeling, like I want to just quit?
GOOD

Now, we can take a step back and resolved our hearts to go
At the pace God has given you.
Our purpose is not to be the first one to cross the finish line.
But rather be able to be counted on as to be present and available.

Now, that silly rabbit shot off that starting line like he was going to win the race.
But, because he did not pace himself, he grew tired and stopped to take a nap.
(Is the church sleeping or napping)

Believe me, there are days all I want to do is just stop and take a nap.
Nothing wrong with naps, if we are pacing ourselves;
And we keep ourselves on the narrow way and keep going on in,
The right direction...
We can't give up and stop running our race.
But rather let us keep a steady pace and enjoy all that we have,
Going on in our lives!

So let us not be silly rabbits!
If you have started something, finish it!

How To Make Homemade Granola With Walnuts And Coconut...

Granola, coconut, Walnuts, Living from Glory to Glory Blog

Making your own Granola is a very practical and cost effective.
This is a staple food item for eating as a cereal or using it on top of your yogurt.

You can improvise with many different choices of nuts or fruit.
I think what makes this granola work for me, is the coconut oil I use in it!
Also the coconut sugar, but you could use brown sugar if you like.
With so many recipes I have tried, they call for too much honey.
 and that makes it so wet and harder to dry.

The flax meal and wheat germ are added for extra nutrition.
But you can also eliminate them.
Also, you can also leave out the flour.

But it is the coconut and chopped walnuts that make it so yummy.

After it has completely dried out in the oven, I then let it cool
 And store it in an airtight container or a glass jar!

You can really taste the difference between fresh granola
and store bought brands. And the cost of the store brands has
doubled in cost. And the packages are smaller too.

Homemade Coconut and Walnut Granola

I wanted to share this my fewest closest 100 friends!
Every Granola I have made in the past has been lacking in either texture or taste;
So here is my creation of a Granola I would be willing to share…

Heat your oven to 250 degrees;
 (But you will turn it off to the lowest setting or the Warmer setting to bake it.
In a 9x13 pan
Place 3 TBL. Of organic coconut oil
1/3 cup of organic coconut sugar in the pan, place in oven to melt, only a few short minutes.
Pull it out of the oven and now add this mixture.
¼ cup mixture total of,
 2TBL. Coconut flour, and wheat germ, and ground flax seed (1/4 total)
 Now stir this into the melted coconut oil and sugar in the 9x13 pan.
Mix it up a bit; Now
Add 2 cups of organic rolled oats to the pan
1/3 cup flaked coconut
1/3 cup chopped walnuts
Mix this up and place it in a turned down oven to the lowest setting!
Stir often and watch carefully so it will not burn!
This needs to be only a warm oven; turn it off if it gets too hot;
You are only trying to DRY this mixture NOT cook it!!
Allow to cool well and store in a Glass jar.

Enjoy!

What are you creating in your kitchen?

A Picture To Inspire Me...

Sugar and Cream, Living Life well, Living from Glory to Glory Blog

White and simple and so pretty...

Living from Glory to Glory Blog

Sugar and Cream

Sugar and spice and all things nice

I can truly say that having a few lovely pictures in my files can inspire me!
I think being inspired to write or cook or decorate come often through,
A timely word or a picture or a recipe that makes my mouth water.

I love simple and clean and for things to scream;
Sugar and Cream
Even a plain cup of coffee can become a liquid treat.

We all have another week filled with opportunities before us!
I try to treat each day as a new clean slate;
Spiritually and in the natural!

We can create a masterpiece...

I plan on making a new large batch of granola.
I plan on cleaning the very messy plastic Tupperware cupboard.
All the furniture needs a good dusting with a lemon oil.
My kitchen floor needs a mopping or
 A good scrub on my hands and knees.

I have some lovely Barn photos that need to be cropped;
For a future gift idea.

I can feel the shifting of the sun upon my days.
Sometimes in the late afternoons, I can sit at my kitchen table
And feel the sun beat upon my back.
I need the warmth and the deep feeling of contentment.

We as women long for the deep peace and strength;
That only a heart changed by the Lord!
A HOME that says I am loved!
Children that have been given to us to love and nurture!
A creative heart that loves to create!
God gave us rainbows and a sun;
Blue skies and clouds.

Take the moments of each day this week and
Give thanks for what you have in your hand...

In reading this blog or others you might visit this day or week;
Do you find yourself more inspired to be a better wife, or Mother?
Do you feel a creative heart to cook and clean?
Do you feel you wasted your time?

I remind myself of this;
"Your days are numbered"
May I live them well...

So may I add the sugar and cream please...

Ribbons and Lace...

Living From Glory to Glory Blog

Ribbons and Lace And Natural Decor...

 File:Edmund Blair Leighton - Ribbons and Lace.jpg
Edmund Blair Leighton, Ribbons and Lace

Those little extra touches...

 Homemakers and Home keepers have really been given
The secret touch for creating a cozy home!

It is found in those little touches we add to each room.
A lovely picture centered on the wall can pull a room together!
A mirror placed on a short wall can make the room appear larger.
A pretty green plant looks alive,
A vase of dried flowers can perk up a corner.
Window coverings make a room feel safe and cozy.

Now, Some ladies enjoy frills and ribbons
Others enjoy a more natural setting.
I have used pine cones in a basket with a candle in the center.
Natural earth colors to match wood floors.
We can use things we find in nature to make a centerpiece
for a table or on our mantels.

We do not have to spend a ton of money to find lovely
treasures that can make your home special.

Do you think of your HOME as your haven?
Is it the place where your heart takes great pleasure,
loving and taking care of those you love?

I urge you to make the time to change things around,
in your home and to decorate it in a way that brings an
 atmosphere of comfort and peace.

We can never underestimate the benefits of
 keeping your home clean,
And free from clutter.
We always think of Spring cleaning;
But I have always tried to incorporate a fall cleaning also!

We are all about to get busy with fall and winter holidays.
And during the winter months our windows are closed up tight!
So before the real cold weather sets in,
Let the fall crisp air come in and freshen the air.
 And maybe try to change your rooms around,
Try changing a picture on a wall.
 Wash your throw blankets!
Purchase a new throw rug for a room.
Try to spray paint something to give it a refreshed finish.

Enjoy your home and let it be a place of pleasure,
To your senses and to your eyes.
Home is where your heart is...

Different Shades Of Blue, Baby Blues, Seasonal Blues...

Living From Glory to Glory Blog

Alas, another one down and a new one has begun!
Seeing the huge lake before us can seem all the same.
But I can assure you each different wave has a different angle.
The different shades of blue can change with the wind directions.

Blue is such a lovely color, soft , soothing and refreshing!

But there is a blue feeling that can come with changes;
We have all been aware of that feeling!
It is real and can take the wind right out of one's sail...
We are not boats dear ones,
But rather real lives with ups and downs.
Changes and circumstances will come!

I want to bring an awareness to a couple different
 Blue Feelings one might experience.

Firstly, I want to mention what a women might experience,
After a birth of a child!
THE BABY BLUES
Now this is a form of a hormonal change in the body.
It can make you feel like crying and no energy.
This is a very real physical situation!
We must deal with it on the spiritual level;
Through prayer and Bible study
This can help immensely!
But this is a medical condition!
Please contact your Doctor and get help!
Do not just try to work this out on your own.
Yes, you can give it a few days, but if the symptoms
Are getting worst, get HELP...

The other BLUES is a life change!
A death of a spouse or a child or a friend!
Also a location move for yourself or a loved one!
Also lets not forget a Womens change in life!

This is an emotional change or shock to our hearts.
We can nosedive with this one rather quickly.
Talk with someone, ask them for support!
Pray and ask for prayer.
These are burdens we are not meant to carry.

Sometimes people who have never taken any kind of
Medication, may need something!
God made doctors and discovery of medicines.
I hope and pray we have debunked the myth that you are
weak if you depend on something that will help!

I think we as women are called to love and support each other.
And we must remember we are spirit and soul
(Mind, will and emotions)

Jesus came that we might be whole.
So be aware of those around you!
Be a help to them and pray.
Give wise counsel
Tell them to go to a Doctor or a Godly counselor!

This world has brought much fear and sin upon itself and we
ALL will be affected by it!

But we can walk these things out personally and to help others!

( I am not having a problem myself,
 But, I see and hear about sisters in the Body of Christ)

Am I my Brother's keeper?

Feeding Your Man...

Living From Glory to Glory Blog

A Man Needs A Good Meal

So many men are just plain hungry...

If you want your Hubby to want to come home quickly,
Then you have the very thing to use daily to ensure that they
Do come HOME soon after work or running errands.

I love having my hubby home,
 I love the fact He wants to come HOME

I think one thing I have done very early on in my marriage was this;
FEED MY HUSBAND
Everyday...
He does not have to run out and get a sandwich or a burger
With friends or with the guys he works with.

I have seen way too many men, just plain hungry!

Now, I know many Men like to cook!
I think that is wonderful!

But I am also glad that my Husband wants and loves my cooking!
He prefers my breakfast specials,
He loves my hamburgers with green chilies on them.
He loves anything that is made from our kitchen.
This is called HOME COOKING...

I am not a gourmet cook, I cook and serve Home style meals.
Call me old fashion;

A man needs to know and can count on an evening meal for sure.
Some men need a big breakfast!
Some need a hearty lunch!

If you want to keep a Hubby happy feed him ladies!
I would hope that making a satisfying meal for him
 would also give you pleasure.

This is a test;
Cook some potatoes,
Now this week I want you to make at least one of these up!
Fried potatoes
Boiled potatoes
Mashed potatoes
Baked potatoes

Serve with another meat or salad!
And a side dish of  veggies, applesauce or biscuits.

You will have a very Happy Hubby!

I think the potato is a homemakers best friend
Besides the crock-pot.

You can buy potatoes so cheap, and they can be very nutritious!
Please Feed Your Man!!
