Church or Museum

A house of prayer?
Or a museum?

The answer to both questions is YES. Because many years ago this church was filled with people. And they prayed and the Word says there prayers shall not return void. Answered prayer it is a promise. Many years ago the churches were built with such a distinct way that just beckoned you to come in. There were churches in all the small American towns. They doubled many times for the school house the town hall. My that would cause a lawsuit today.
Like this beautiful old church may it stand for a very long time, as a reminder of to each of us to pray and to never give up. God has blessed this nation and He created this world.
May our prayer life and our family's not look like part of a museum. But be alive and overflowing with hope.
The Lord has said to occupy until I return, keep on keeping on!

Vessel

Being a vessel !
We are given each day as a gift.
We can yield ourselves to the Lord and allow the Holy Spirit to fill us afresh.
I am learning each day to hear His voice with more clarity.

I am convicted to see if there is any false belief system in my life.

Will what I believe, hold up under a strong North wind? (Song Of Songs 4:16a)

Is my foundation totally built on The solid rock?

JESUS CHRIST

I love that the lover of my soul teaches and corrects me each step of this walk with Him.

We are the Bride of the lamb that was slain.

He is coming one day for His Bride.

This picture I took, it is of a pitcher which is a vessel to be used, to be poured out.

And the apple speaks of His fruit in our lives, we can all nourish someone with His substance He gives us. We must choose to spend time with Him so we have something to give.

You can't give what you don't pocess!

Filled and Over Flowing And Being Prepared...

Living From Glory To Glory Blog

Storms In The Heavens

We must work and prepare while it is yet day.
The Lord has been prompting me to do some things, to prepare for troubling times.
It seems like a wise woman would see that the days ahead could be difficult ones.
It is a season to prepare and put-up and put back!

Be smart and savvy and look for bargain's.
Stock up on the things that will go a long way!
Beans and rice...
Flour and sugar...
Oil and salt and baking powder and baking soda
Noodles and baking mix for pancakes

~All in large quantities~
Tuna and canned foods with long shelf life.

Date all foods and rotate them as needed, but replace promptly.
Fear not, but let us not be caught without.

A cold drink of water given in Jesus name, or a meal served to someone who may be found hungry
It is our responsibility to take care of the orphans and the widows.
More to come on this subject as the Lord leads me!

Blessings,

Welcome Home

Baking Bread

This was such a fun day we made a ton of bread dough. We first grounded up fresh wheat and got to experience dough up to our elbows. Then we made up some flat bread. It was so good and we had a ball. We really enjoy getting together and doing some sort of project.

We think of bread as a vital substance of life. Yet the word tells us that man cannot live on bread alone but every word that proceed out of the mouth of God.

I want to encourage so many of you ladies out there to nuture your friendships that have been given to you by God. You know they are a gift to you and He expects us to to take time for them and to love them.

I was thinking the other day about a thing we may do and not realize what it should mean. If you have a welcome mat or a welcome sign at your front door entry it might be a good idea to ask yourself does this really apply here?

WELCOME

To feel loved and appreciated. Given a good smile and hug. Ask if they would like something to drink, offer a snack or a meal. Hospitality is a sign of a gracious women.

I want to thank all the women who have offered a real WELCOME to others .

GOD BLESS

Take time to thank God for the frienships He has given you!!

My Mother

My Mother was a very strong woman, her life was not easy. She had five children, and she kept a clean home and there was always a wonderful supper prepared. Her name was Mary Ellen.
She did come to know the Lord later in life, but I think even when she was a young women she knew of God. I want to take this moment to say to the world I loved my Mother and I miss her so much. I know I will see her again when the Lord calls me home.

We as women need to encourage and help one another, we are all sisters and Mothers and aunties, and daughters, wives and Grandmothers.

May we as daughters of Zion take care and nourish and encourage one another to keep our homes and lives and families whole and strong and safe. Home is where the heart is.

Mother and Child And Set Apart...

~I love this picture it makes me happy every time I look at it~

It reminds me of what is really important...
The life of each and every child, Has a God given purpose and plan and destiny
Prepared before the foundation of the world;

The word of the Lord says
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations." Jeremiah 1:5

Now just think about this for a minute (the nations) is our own back yard.
So each of us and all of our children and our grandchildren, have this same call.
The children of God are set apart...

The purpose: to speak life and truth, pray for hearing ears, then to obey what He has asked of you.

Now, I want to say that this lovely picture was a gift to me, from my friend Pam
And she is a talented artist.
This is only one of her many God given talents!! Thanks Pam

Being Prepared...

Being Prepared...

We are living in some pretty perilous days, wars and rumors of wars!
Sound familiar?
I want to encourage each and everyone out there to think very seriously, about how well prepared you are for a winter storm or drought?
Or how well prepared are you for even a small natural disaster?

We would be wise stewards if we would be prepared to feed and take care of our families if something should happen.
Walmart is not our provider and we should not look for it to even care
about what we might need in days of woe.
We should learn something from a generation gone by
as to what a family had and put up or put back.

 Being prepared
PANTRY PREPPERS

I was watching the birds this morning and they were out there just looking for food
and coming in huge flocks to eat from our bird feeder.
And I said even the birds know when a storm is coming!
It has started to snow and wind is blowing, the birds are hunkered down for the night.

I think being a wise woman requires us to be prepared for,
Unemployment situations, storms, hard times!
Be not foolish, but build a pantry stock to provide for your family...

Be A Pantry Prepper...

Picture Perfect And Pricless...

Living from Glory to Glory Blog

But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.
 Psalm 4:18 KJV

Beauty and worth are really in the hands of your Creator.
God sees each and every one of us as a masterpiece. A work of art!
Some things are timeless, like a string of pearls.
Or maybe a picture that was painted that spoke a thousand words.

My Bible is that to me, I have been reading it for years,
Yet, each morning it speaks fresh and living words to me.

This is a very precious plate with a lovely lady painted on it.
It was my Grandmothers I always thought she must be a princess.
This is how God sees us! (Priceless)
To be spiritually minded and full of Christ is the best beauty treatment I know of.

Knitting Adventure And How I Learned...

Living From Glory To Glory Blog
Well, I just woke up one morning and I said I want to learn to knit!!

So I took myself to the library and I said there must surely be a book for Learning to Knit
 For Dummies.
Guess what, there was, I brought it home and with great gusto and determination,
 I had at it...
I finally finished my very first scarf, it is warm and cozy.
I really did take the time and took out all my mistakes as I went.
I also purchased my very own book on knitting.
I did attend one little class on learning to knit and my homework was to knit a dishcloth!
This has been fun yet a new challenge.

I hope to learn to read the directions for patterns and to be able to knit mittens for my little people, and scarfs to match.
I was just really surprised to discover how relaxing knitting really is!
So all you yoga fans drop your stance and pick up your knitting needles.

I think it has been great fun to learn to knit, but I think I still enjoy
Crocheting a little better!

Which do you enjoy doing?

Blessings, Roxy

Cowboy-Up...

Living From Glory To Glory Blog
Ready and willing is what this guy is saying!

Be prepared is his motto...

We can dress the part and be just about anybody now a days.
I was just thinking about how the Lord looks upon the heart and not our appearance
But I do believe we need to be ready to speak the word in every situation.
Even if we don't quote chapter and verse, it is the Spirit who brings life to the WORDS we speak!

We live in the West and there is a code to live by,
 Cowboy Up!!

How ready and willing are you to be used to bless and encourage others?

I know looks upon the heart;
But sometimes we as humans look to others to see if they
Look safe and willing to comfort;
There are so many shady looking characters now days!

I do not want to say that looks are everything;
But they are important in some ways!

Being clean and tidy goes a long ways...

Blurred Vision...

Living From Glory To Glory Blog
Artist Chase, William Merritt

Seeing Clearly...

Are you taking your cue from the status of worldly thinking?
We need a higher perspective; It is all not as it appears to be!
We can stretch a little further and seek the truth about any given
situation that we see going on in our world.
Let's face it;
This World Is a needy Place

Do not go there for sustenance.
Everything in this world is going faster and faster,
Some days it feels like it could spin out of control.
People walk around looking for the meaning of life.
Days are passing in a blur for most.
And we as children of God, do not have to see things as blurred.
God sheds His light on all things, so we can see the truth clearly!

Stop in the name of love!
His Love
If you could just really stop and take a moment to speak words of love and encouragement.
Enjoy the little things in life!
Now is the time...

Live every day on purpose!

Yours, Roxy
