Learning To Take Responsibility No Matter How Beautiful Or Pretty...

Learn to take responsibility, Living from glory to glory blog...

Learning to take Responsibility!

We all need to be doing this!
We need to be teaching ourselves this very thing!
Our children and grandchildren must have this character trait!
Sometimes just because someone is cute or pretty;
We do them a harm when we do not hold them responsible!

If we do not have this character trait we will be in trouble!

~Well, it's not my fault~

Look BEAUTY is a wonderful thing...
But it STINKS when it's the focus of a issue and not the heart of the matter.

Look, if you were there, you play a part!
It takes two!

Well, in our society we have many that can start a fight with themselves!
Many will not even take responsibility for themselves!
We still want to blame someone else rather than to take responsibility.

It all started in a garden---
Then the man said,
"The woman whom YOU gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate."
Genesis 3:12

But I think my favorite blame scripture is this one,

"They gave me the gold, and I threw it into the fire, and out came this calf"
Exodus 32:24

Seriously...

Look learn to see when you are wrong and admit to yourself and to others!
Especially those that have been hurt in the crossfire!

Do you really think you're fooling yourself or GOD?

But when we take responsibility for our wrong attitudes or behavior;
We can call it what it is SIN!

We can ask God to forgive us and start over;
Fresh and clean!

What I Really Think, You Little Rascal...

The Little Rascals, Living from glory to glory blog

What I really Think...

Enjoying this season of my life as I have enjoyed all the others!

Sometimes we can miss the simple joys of our everyday lives;
By always thinking that there is something better!
Or living in the past because we thought it was so great!

Come up with some new plans and ideas to enjoy this NOW season.

Be funny and make someone smile!

Be a better wife!!

Learn a new skill!

A good and happy life is something we can create...
The power to love and not give up is what a good woman should do!

Are you ready to give up?

Well, wait three days...

We can all recall a time when you might have been down or weary;
But each time we have overcome those feelings!

I am a lady that desires to enjoy my days!
Cooking and cleaning become a joy!
Loving my husband is a God honoring mission!

We cannot become a prisoner in our own homes just because,
The world has gone crazy!

Stretch your imagination...
Clean out the old of what is no longer useful!
Keep what brings you joy!

Purpose in your heart to bring God honor in your days!
Enjoy the lonely days
Enjoy the quiet
Enjoy this season!

We must teach the younger women how to
Love their children and their husbands;

But we must also teach them how to live a healthy life once
They have done this great calling!

What I really think!

The Best Is Yet To Come...

See No Evil...

Living from Glory to Glory Blog

See No Evil...

Everything you see with your eyes make an impression upon your heart and mind!

All of it, whether it is good and pleasant;
Or
Suggestive and immoral
Or
Evil and scary

The world screams look at me!
Women taunt; look at me!
Fear draws; Watch me!

Our eyes have a pull that is like a magnet;
You can be drawn into the lust of the flesh through your eyes!
Have you heard the saying?
Eye Candy

Just because it looks lovely or pretty or delicious;
People, Stuff or Food...
We are not to be led or controlled by what we see!

We are called to have a covenant with our eyes...

We have way too much access to things very unwholesome,
Our Men ate tempted everywhere...
Women are tempted by magazines and Soap Operas!

Your life will turn into just fluff and stuff if you can not discern
Between good and evil!

Once a door is opened to something, it can be very hard to close it!
Internet access
Cable Television
Beware of what is coming over these airwaves...

I want to make a suggestion;

Stop playing with fire...
When you see evil, turn away;
Run from evil.
Stay away from the appearance of evil...

Many forms of news and newspapers now thrive on scary or evil.
Even if this stuff is real, it still will cause you to respond and react.

A steady diet of it will cause upset to our emotions and well being!

But I would also like to suggest good books and magazines;
Keep these around your coffee table or your magazine holder!
Reading something that uplifts your heart is a good thing!

Have a nice collection of good and wholesome movies!

How can I keep myself from all these things?
Be a watch women for yourself, your husband and family!

X Rated And R Rated is now the norm for many;
I remember as a child we saw nothing immoral!

But today we must take extra precautions...

Remember Job made a covenant with his eyes!
We also can do the same...

Remember, we are all called to live;

New Year Bible Reading Plans...

Bible Reading Plans for 2017

Check out this wonderful link for a few different ways to read through the Bible!

Reading the Bible in a systematic way is a great way to
see it in the full context and not just one verse!

A nice set of Commentaries is really nice to have!
A Bible Dictionary is beneficial!
Having a notebook to take some notes!

The Word will never return to us void!
There is a great value and profit for diligence in studying and reading scripture!

Blessings to each and every one of you!!

May this New Year be one that can be looked back upon and know
that you have given your heart and your best to the Lord...

" We have a new start that is fresh every morning to do better"
"And each New Year we can purpose in our hearts to grow and to learn!"

Friendships And No Reciprocation...

Chocolate Cake, Living From Glory To Glory Blog...

All Of Our Days Can Be The Good Old Days...

Once again I sit here in the early morning and think of what
would be best for me to do this lovely day!

Cold days can be expected in the month of December!
I love that it gets dark early so we must come in and relax and
Enjoy those long winter nights!

Our generation is a GO generation...
Always busy, always looking at their phone.

Do you ever just stop and ask yourself this question
"Why do you do what you do?"

I do not mind being busy for a season!

I just wanted to encourage each of you today with a few thoughts!
This first one may sound harsh, but I believe it merits at least
To be mentioned!

Friendships
If you have a friendship that is completely one sided
(You do all the calling, You put all the effort into it)
Emotional, and supporting of them, and there is
NO reciprocation!
Then may I suggest letting it start to fade;
Ask God is this one you should continue to invest in?
(Because there are some people we all have in our lives that it is going to be this way)
But there are some relationships that just need to go by the wayside.

~You should be investing in your Husband and Family~

But God Knows we all need a good friend!

Being wise and spending your time in investing in healthy relationships!

And we can be kind to all, but realistically we only have so much energy
and time for those that God has given us!

But when God gives you and a kindred spirit friend; love her and honor her!

The reason we need to evaluate friendships;
Because a true friend is a treasure!
Impart into those friendships that will produce fruit!

Take some time and send a card or call those that are near and dear
To Your Heart...

Be open to new ones God may bring to you!!
Be willing to let go of the ones that are fading!!
God will always remove those that are not good for you;
(But you must ask Him to do that for you)
Allow God to manage who He wants in your life!
Try to make a few hours each month to fellowship with a friend!
A few good friends is better than being friends with everyone...

Writing a letter will always be worth your time;
(I have saved every written note sent to me in my adult life)

Remember, having an older woman in your life is very biblical!

Okay, bake a chocolate cake and serve your husband and family,
But save a piece for a dear friend and enjoy each others company.
Because a good friend is like chocolate
It is meant to be shared and enjoyed!

Her Choice Of Words Offended Me...

Bad Language, Living From Glory To Glory Blog

Her mouth and her words offend me!

I so wanted to be this gal's friend if only on Instagram :o)

But her choice of words offended me...
Look, I am not as pure as the driven snow,
But I do have scruples and this gal crossed the line for me.

There is just something about seeing a photo of something beautiful
and having a cuss word in the one line.

You can have all the beauty in the world and still look like a pig
With a gold ring in one's nose.
You can look classy yet sound like a fool.

I do not say this to make you think I have never said a bad word;
But rather to say that when we write something that the whole world
can see, it now becomes the point of showing no discretion.

When I was a child if we said a bad word we got our mouth washed out with soap!

Now days they might consider that child abuse!

Well, I think adults need to wash their own mouths out with soap first!

We have two ears and two eyes and one mouth;
And some of the things that come out of a ladies mouth
Is nothing but disgraceful!!

She said _____  _____ _____!

So, now you can understand why I do not want to read about her amazing
Vacation or her view about anything.

Yes, I live in the real world, but I have chosen to not subject myself to pollute
myself with foul language, no matter the lovely photos.

She may get her hair colored and cut
She may get her nails manicured
She may wear the newest fashions
But she truly needs her mouth washed out with soap!

She can use a lovely french milled soap
or she could use just the plain old

Ivory Bar Of Soap

Please realize that cuss words should not come out of a
Lady's mouth, even in writing or talking!

And that's all I have to say about this for today...

Disciplines Of A Godly Woman...

Author Barbara Hughes

Being disciplined is not something we do naturally!

The scripture says
  Train yourself to be godly
1 Timothy 4:7

I really enjoyed this book, I found it biblically sound and interesting.
We need a book that instructs us from a non-feminist view.

This word Train is derived from the Greek word which in English is
(Gymnasium)
In other words a spiritual workout!

Like the Greek athletes who lay aside every encumbrance,
We Christian women need to get rid of every
(association, habit, and tendency that blocks godliness)

This is not to be confused with legalism;
The legalistic heart does things to gain merit with God;
The disciplined heart says
 "I will do this because I love God and I want to please HIM"

Firstly, you must be saved;
The Gospel is about what God has done!
The Gospel is the amazing news about God's son
Jesus Christ accomplished on the cross.
His death, burial and resurrection!
He was the only sacrifice accepted by God for our sins!
(Romans 10:9-11)

Submitting
Philippians 2:10-11
We must see that submission applies to every area of our lives;
Choosing God's ways over our ways!
Submitting YOUR will to God's loving rule in daily life.

Prayer
Ephesians 6:18
Prayer is not pulling God to my will, but aligning of my heart and will
to God's will and perfect plan for myself and others.
"That is why we must pray not my will, but God's will be done"

 Worship
Word Centered
1Timothy 4:13

God Centered

Christ Centered
Luke 10: 41-42
Do not become so busy you lose sight of daily worship in all you do!
"Martha, Martha...
You are worried and upset about many things.
But only one thing is needed!
Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her"

Our Character
Our Mind
Romans 12:2
(Reading and Studying God's Word)

Contentment
1Timothy 6:6

A godly woman is something we aspire to be, and it will take time and training!

Nothing worth anything is really going to cost you nothing!

Everything I do requires a part of all these character traits;
Look, we will never stop learning and growing in the things that glorify Christ!

Just because we are women does not mean we will make good wives or mothers!
~We need godly examples and the truth to be read and understood~

Applying truth and biblical principles are an everyday process!

I know each of us could find fault with ourselves or even our own parents;
But we are called to continue...
That means just because we did something wrong does not mean we should stop trying!

When I think about giving up in a certain area, I have an inner compass
That reads due north...
Keep YOUR eyes On the SON
(Jesus Christ)

Remember, it is not what you FEEL
It is what the Scripture's teach us;
Therefore, we THINK...

Ways To Help You Be Content...

I have seen so many things that rile my emotions;
In this world we have three things that will lay- way you.
Lust of your eyes
Lust of of your flesh
And the pride of yourself

We have an insatiable hunger for things and stuff...

I am always leaning towards a simpler way of life;
When we can just enjoy a moment with a good book or a craft!

Just staying home more often and not running to and fro.
Many things we put upon our own plate and it is not beneficial to us!

We are now living in an information age...
So now you really can see daily just exactly what you're missing!

I must say that I now think every woman alive has her own blog;
You now have your own personal spot on the world wide web (W.W.W.)

We can record and download and ebook everything
So what is it that you desire?
As the genie in the bottle said
"Your wish is my command"

Well lets stop and really think...
Not feel your way through this precious life;

If you gained the whole world and lost your soul!
People are selling their minds and hearts and bodies for lies!

I guess you do not need me to tell you how easy it is to get off
the narrow path!
This world and with a touch of a click, your able to view and buy and sell!

What are you craving for?
Goods, more stuff, and bigger and better things!

As soon as you get the next thing you start the whole process over!
Never enough...

But if we keep close to the truth of what is going to last.
We can stop the running and seeking and rest in the very fact.
He will never leave you or forsake you!
He will add all that is needed by you!

Here is a great post written by Lydia from Home Living;

Home Living, The Christian Lady And Contentment

Ask the Lord to help you be content!
Learn to say NO to all the running around town!
Ask yourself if this is a need or a want?
Keep your hands busy doing things that are wholesome (knitting, crafting, cleaning, reading)
Do not compare yourself to others...
Take care of what God has given you!

~Contentment with Godliness is great gain~

What are some of the things you have learned to be content?

Women Want To Control...

Sunflowers, Living From Glory To Glory Blog...

Women Want To CONTROL

This statement might make you angry!

But the truth of the matter, it is the truth...

Hello Ms. Bossy Pants, how does your garden grow?

"Well, it better do what I tell it to do!"

I can write this blog post because I am a woman!
I know that my strong sin nature desires to lead and to control!

Women are known for their strong opinions in most arenas.

Women in most households will run the whole place dominating
Conversations and about who what and where with most other things!

You have all heard the phrase control freak...

Well, when you first start learning to become a biblical woman,
You quickly see the force behind your always wanting to control!
~FEAR~

And I think it is a wonderful character trait,
 To run your household well,and with efficiency!

But in our sin nature our desire is to control our husbands!
This is where we usually have to pray and work out our salvation;
In this area of becoming not dominant, but submissive.

Most men are pretty lenient with how we can have the freedom to
Organize and run our households.

But then we have some troubles knowing when we need to stop;
Controlling and manipulating our husbands.

Sometimes I am not even aware I am doing it, so then the Holy Spirit is gracious
and He helps me see the error in my words or my actions.
(It is usually a bit of both)

I am always learning and I have been married for years,
But I can tell you this dear ladies it is never to late to learn to
become more in line with scripture in our marriages.

I think most of us want to control our Husbands out of fear!
Fear of what our Husbands have done or what they might do!

But when we pray and train ourselves to stop this excessive controlling;
We might just find that the world does not crumble and fall apart.

If we would but learn to control our own thoughts and our words;
Then...
We would become that gentle and quiet one spoken of in scripture.

It does not mean you cannot voice, your heart or opinion!

It is just done with a different attitude and not an expectation of the
Outcome of him to follow your ideas or how you think it should be done!

I spoke therefore you do!
(In your MOMMY voice)

You are not his mommy!
 And he also has to learn to lead his wife and children!
Pray for him and work hard at doing YOUR part.

But if you will not stop FIRST controlling and manipulating him;
He cannot do what he is suppose to do!

We hear this all the time, well if he would just lead then I would submit!
Well girls that is not how it works...
He was created first and we must follow,
He is not to follow us...

Control feels like power to so many of us!
But to serve and to obey is like having a lovely opportunity
to act and be like Christ example to us!

I appreciate your visit to this blog!
I desire to live my life

How The Man Was Created To Lead and To Be Shown Respect...

Living From Glory To Glory Blog...

A Man After Gods Own Heart...

A Man needs to be shown respect!
A Man was created to lead and protect!

We are all living in a world today of either not showing respect
Or very little!

Respect, is a very important key element to being a biblical wife.
But we are also missing the bigger picture here!

Men were designed to live in this code!
Respect is like a deep seated need, placed within each man!
When we show respect to them, we actually make a deposit
 that builds integrity,
And a greater sense of worth;

You have heard the phrase the chain of command?
This is used in every branch of civilization...

Well, it is because we cannot all just lead and govern our own way.
We need to be under a form of law and rule!
As we have protection from the very rules God has placed over us!
If we all did just what we wanted to do, we would have chaos!

We need to rethink this concept of respect;
I have heard this statement;
If he wants respect he is going to have to earn it!
But, what we need to do is show respect and then we gain favor.
This applies in marriage, business and the military...
Because this is God's design for his family.

The Word when applied gives us liberty and favor!
But we still must show respect to our husbands and authority;

Asking For Prayer And Counting Your Blessings...

Living From Glory To Glory Blog...

God Loves To Hear Our Prayer's...

What kind of day are you having?

I do hope you are counting your blessings and giving thanks;
If you are in good health, praise the Lord!
If you have food in your cupboard, give thanks!
If your man is standing by you, give thanks!

I just wanted to share my afternoon with you ladies;
I just returned home from visiting a very dear friend!
She is an amazing woman...
Her name is Kelly
A sweet and gentle Irish gal,
She is a worshipper at heart!
~She sings like a bird~

She is funny and very cute;

But she has had struggles, like most of us have.
But this time in this season it is a different struggle!
She was diagnosed with brain cancer,
She has had two brain surgeries and is undergoing the
Full cancer treatment plan for her type of cancer!

She seemed to be very peaceful and I could sense her faith!

She had a cute headband on her head!!
Her daughter had given her a pedicure and her toes were ready to meet
A warm and sandy beach in my opinion!

She smiled and nodded her head over everything we said to her!
We had the chance to pray with her and she gave a hardy
AMEN...

I think God has a way of showing us a very good perspective
On what we might think is a hard or difficult season.
Can we encourage another, even when we are in a battle?
Yes, Yes we can and we should...

Can I ask you to pray for my dear friend?
Would you lift her up and add your prayer request;
To the Lord Jesus Christ, she loves and serves.

Her husband is a Pastor;
And he was telling my Husband and I, what his sermon was
 Going to be about for his church tomorrow;
It went something like this...
David learned what he needed to learn to fight the giant
Through the battles he had won with the Lion and the Bears!

We all learn to fight in the battle...

I believe one day we can all look back and sing;
Look What The Lord Has Done!

If you could leave a comment for her here on this Blog Post,
I could send her the link with your thoughts and prayers for her!
Can we encourage another today with our prayers!

THANK YOU !!

What Does The Wedding Cake Represent And Your Wedding Vows...

I am sure there is some great mystery to why we have cake after a wedding;
I haven't googled this or do I care too!

But to me, I think a wedding cake allows us to see that to start
One's life of becoming one flesh through symbolic traditions is a good thing!

Marriages are to be sweet and sturdy and filled with good things.
They should a have a lovely appearance!
A marriage should cover some of the flaws we carried when we were single!

The inside should be filled with substance and not just fluff;
Marriage is hard work, yet it is worth it all!

Did you know most marriage vows have no longer
included the phrase till death do us part?

Look, I get it, sometimes marriage has not worked for some of you!
But I still think we need to look at marriage with the permanently,
Mindset that God intended!

Why is it that the bride and groom begin their marriage by;
Cutting the cake together?

Well, I think it is because doing life alone is not all the wonderful!
Many have lost their spouse and feel the deep loss of that daily!

I realize that this life is not all one big party!
But we are to start down the path in the right manner!
Marriage vows...
Wedding cake to say we are doing this together!

I think that is why when I have been at a wedding and have witnessed
A newly married bride and groom who shove cake into each others face,
It grieves me!

Give honor and reverence for those lovely traditions that;
Carry weight in showing love and respect!

I think of those that are starving in past history and in a dark time
"When someone who held prestige made the statement to those
who had none or very little;
Let's eat cake"

We are to be blessed and to eat the goodness of this life
and in the bounds of marriage!

It is never too late to start working on a better marriage!
Make your vows come alive again!
Fan the flame of your witness to each other!

Blessings, Roxy

Morning By Morning... Spurgeon

Keeping yourself and your loved ones free from either self imposed
Legalistic ideas and things that rob us of just good old fashion enjoyment!

Learning to take pleasure in things that God does not forbid in His Word...

I think many have had enough trial and testing in their lives!
But just thinking that does not stop them from coming.

That is why I am always doing the one thing that helps;
With life's overload and the physical stuff of oneself
or a loved one's struggle.

I am so thankful for the encouragement that I receive from a morning
Devotional and prayer time.
I really do not know how some people make it through a day without
His strength and support from His word!

I am hoping to thrive this new year and not just survive!
I do not want to live in fear, but faith!

I always enjoy when others share with me a word they feel applies
to their lives for the new year.

I have so far heard the word community
Another said Jubilee
Another said to simplify

Well, I do hope we all can be moving in a direction that brings
peace to our lives, but most importantly is to bring God glory!

Some years just seem to bring so many changes;
That was for us last year, so maybe my word may have been
Resolve...

But for this year it just may be
Trust...

Only God see's the end from the beginning, so that is why
~We walk by faith~

Have you sensed a word from scripture that is a word that
will bring your encouragement this new year?

Blessings, Roxy

Reflections Of What We Hope To Become...

Living From Glory To Glory Blog

Reflection in the mirror or in the past days or season's of our lives...

It is a good thing to look at one's self in the mirror of how others.
May perceive you, not that we should pay too much attention to what
Others think of us. But rather what does the mirror reflect?

Sometimes I do this and wonder, have I built bridge's that will
Support the weight of strenuous times that is always possible in our lives.

We must learn and grow from our past mistakes;
We can learn by seeing how we responded to stress.
And I can assure you that not all stress is bad.
It is usually a feeling of we must preform!

We do have an obligation to practice what position we are in!

Firstly, we are in Christ Jesus
So because of this position we will be required to pass
certain test and trials...

But as we reflect and read and respond to the truth
(Available in The Holy Bible)

We will change, and your position may look differently.

Have you ever believed something so strongly that you might,
Be what we would call dogmatic about it?
To only find after a decade or century you had a different opinion!

Dogmatic
1.
Relating to or of the nature of a dogma or dogmas or any strong set of principles concerning faith, morals, etc., as those laid down by a church; doctrinal:
We hear dogmatic arguments from both sides of the political spectrum.
2.
Asserting opinions in a doctrinaire or arrogant manner; opinionated:
I refuse to argue with someone so dogmatic that he won't listen to reason

I am going to say this, opinion and truth are not the same!

I do not think there was a new truth, but rather a clearer understanding...

So, As I age and grow I ask the Lord to help me be discerning.

Do not be so naive to believe everything you are being taught!
In the churches
In the schools
In the universities
In the Seminaries
In the New York Best Seller Books List
In the Christian bookstores
In the newspapers

Do your homework...
Check out the facts, historical and biblically.
Google can actually find some very sound and outstanding
Information and direct you to some very good resources.
Just because it's on the internet does not make it true.

But we can ask for wisdom and we can ask for the truth!
We can dig and ponder and pray and not be deceived!

I love the scripture that says be convinced in your own mind...
Just because everyone is doing it does not make it right!

Does it even really make a difference it what we believe?

Be willing to be teachable...
Be like the Berean's!

Acts 17: 11 Now the Berean Jew were of more Noble Character than...
Now the Bereans were more noble-minded than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day ...

If anyone calls you a Berean it is a high compliment!

Why The Little Things Matter...

Living From Glory To Glory Blog...

The Little Things

Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much
And whosoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.
Luke 16:10

It is in the little things that make life precious and sweet!

Tiny is huge when it is looked upon as a portion as onto the Lord...

Itsy Bitsy is a joy when it is appreciated...

What do you do with the little portions of time and energy you are given?
What do you use the monies that are given you each week?
What do you do with your spare moments in your day?

I love little kisses
I love the little buttons on baby clothing
I love little muffins
I love the little notes that come in the mail
I love little notebooks
I love bookmarks
I love little tiny roses
I love soft voices and giggles in the night

May I give the little things as much attention as the big things in my life!

Can I be faithful in the portion that has been given to me?

Will I love my Husband above myself?
Will I grow old with grace and beauty?
Will I esteem others above myself?
Will I be a true friend to those ladies God has given me?
Will I give honor where honor is due?
Will I be honest in my daily dealings?

"May I not fudge on the truth
May, I not allow a slip of my tongue
May, I not neglect good habits
May, I not have covetness in my heart towards anyone"

These are all little things in themselves;
But in the Lords eyes, they are what show Him that we can be trusted!

It's in the small matters of everyday life that the true witness
Of Christ in us is lived out!

When I think that this little blog does not matter;
I am reminded that it is for His glory!

Little words of wisdom can help change the course of ones thinking!
Little changes can bring restoration back into a marriage.
Little changes can change your life in a big way...

How To Really Be In The Winners Circle....

Living From Glory To Glory Blog

~Lets, play ball, Lets all get in the game, it's not all about just winning~

Two Choices

What would you do? You make the choice.

At a fundraising dinner for a school that serves children with learning disabilities,
 The father of one of the students delivered a speech that would never be forgotten by
 All who attended
 After extolling the school and its Dedicated staff, he offered a question:

When not interfered with by outside influences,
 Everything in nature is done with perfection.

Yet my son, Shay, cannot learn things as other children do
 He cannot understand things as other children do.

Where is the natural order of things in my son?'

The audience was stilled by the query.

The father continued. 'I believe that when a child like Shay, who was mentally and physically disabled comes into the world, an opportunity to realize true human nature presents itself, and it comes in the way other people treat that child.

Then he told the following story:

Shay and I had walked past a park where some boys Shay knew were playing baseball. Shay asked, 'Do you think they'll let me play?' I knew that most of the boys would not want someone like Shay on their team, but as a father I also understood that if my son were allowed to play, it would give him a much-needed sense of belonging and some confidence to be accepted by others in spite of his handicaps.

I approached one of the boys on the field and asked (not expecting much) if Shay could play.
 The boy looked around for guidance and said,
 'We're losing by six runs and the game is in the eighth inning. I guess he can be on our team and we'll try to put him in to bat in the ninth inning..'

Shay struggled over to the team's bench and, with a broad smile, put on a team shirt..
 I watched with a small tear in my eye and warmth in my heart.
 The boys saw my joy at my son being accepted.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, Shay's team scored a few runs but was still behind by three.

At the top of the ninth inning,
Shay put on a glove and played in the right field.
 Even though no hits came his way, he was obviously ecstatic just to be in the game and on the field, grinning from ear to ear as I waved to him from the stands.

In the bottom of the ninth inning, Shay's team scored again.

Now, with two outs and the bases loaded, the potential winning run was on base and Shay was scheduled to be next at bat.

At this juncture, do they let Shay bat and give away their chance to win the game?

Surprisingly, Shay was given the bat. Everyone knew that a hit was all but impossible because Shay didn't even know how to hold the bat properly, much less connect with the ball.

However, as Shay stepped up to the plate,

 The pitcher, recognizing that the other team was putting winning aside for this moment in Shay's life, He moved in a few steps to lob the ball in softly so Shay could at least make contact.

The first pitch came and Shay swung clumsily and missed.

The pitcher again took a few steps forward to toss the ball softly towards Shay.

As the pitch came in, Shay swung at the ball and hit a slow ground ball right back to the pitcher.

The game would now be over.

The pitcher picked up the soft grounder and could have easily thrown the ball to the first baseman.

Shay would have been out and that would have been the end of the game.

Instead, the pitcher threw the ball right over the first baseman's head, out of reach of all team mates.

Everyone from the stands and both teams started yelling, 'Shay, run to first!

Run to first!'

Never in his life had Shay ever run that far, but he made it to first base.

He scampered down the baseline, wide-eyed and startled.

Everyone yelled, 'Run to second, run to second!'

Catching his breath, Shay awkwardly ran towards second,
 Gleaming and struggling to make it to the base.

By the time Shay rounded towards second base, the right fielder had the ball. The smallest guy on their team who now had his first chance to be the hero for his team.

He could have thrown the ball to the second-baseman for the tag, but he understood the pitcher's intentions so he, too, intentionally threw the ball high and far over the third-baseman's head.

Shay ran toward third base deliriously as the runners ahead of him circled the bases toward home.

All were screaming, 'Shay, Shay, Shay, all the Way Shay'

Shay reached third base because the opposing shortstop ran to help him by turning him in the direction of third base, and shouted, 'Run to third!

Shay, run to third!'

As Shay rounded third, the boys from both teams, and the spectators, were on their feet screaming, 'Shay, run home! Run home!'

Shay ran to home, stepped on the plate, and was cheered as the hero who hit the grand slam and won the game for his team

'That day', said the father softly with tears now rolling down his face, 'the boys from both teams helped bring a piece of true love and humanity into this world'.

Shay didn't make it to another summer.
 He died that winter, having never forgotten being the hero and making me so happy,
 And coming home and seeing his Mother tearfully embrace her little hero of the day!

We are all righting little stories that can bring an impact...
A long life is what we hope for, but a life filled with moments
Of real life situations that is what really changes us and the world we live in!

Do you care more about just winning?
Do you just care about always being right?

Sometimes, someone might just have that one day left;
Will we find ourselves helping them make it a good one?
You make the choice...

"Do You really want to hear
  Your Out?"
