Ordinary Task In Ordinary Days...

Do You find yourself daydreaming?

Well, wake up sunshine!
Hopefully you're living your dream...

Ever notice that what you thought it would be like is not anything;
like it at all?

Well, according to my calculations, every time
"I thought I thought  it out"
It always was a wee bit different then I imagined.

And oh, everything is subject to change,
NOT CHANCE
But, His divine providence!

Do Mondays always get you down?

Well knock it off honey cause Mondays are the beginning
of a Homemakers week!

How many loads of laundry have you done so far today!
Let me guess, Hmmmm
How many children do you have?

You get the point/////

Remember on Sunday you resolved to worship;
Well, Mondays you need to resolve also to schedule your week.

One thing that always helps me is that we only have one day,
At a time to manage. And if we manage today well, tomorrow.
Will go smoother!

Cleaning and scrubbing and folding laundry can be a form of worship.
It is in the ordinary days and the ordinary task that bring
 "Glory To God"

We are called to clean and refresh and tidy our hearts our lives
And our homes...

(Take this time to prepare)

Being prepared for what your family needs!

Take joy and pleasure in this day!

Remember faithfulness in little things is a big thing!

Spiritual progress can be stopped by grumbling and questioning

Make a plan, be flexible, smile!
Don't take things too seriously, so when something serious does happen
You can be calm and slide right down whatever obstacle is put in your path!

Barns And Their Beauty...

Barn, Country, Rustic, Living from Glory to Glory Blog

Barns and their haunting beauty...

They stand in majestic stature.

No matter their age or how they have withstood the years.
They are beautiful...

Living from Glory to Glory Blog

Some barns stand in solitude in a field all alone...

Living from Glory to Glory Blog

They have stood so long, that their last coat of red paint
has faded to a rustic color...

Living from Glory to Glory Blog

Some have windows, with the glass panes long ago broken out and missing...

Tin Roof, Living from Glory to Glory Blog

The rust has set in on the tin roofs...

Living from Glory to Glory Blog

A gray barn seems to say "I am different and I am Okay"

This barn has been kept in prime condition,
It has had many face lifts in its many years!

Lonely and unattended...

Proud and tall and on its original rock foundation.
"A firm foundation"

Even to the setting sun
You are beautiful...

Barns are as American as apple pie and freedom...

A green barn seems out of place, but it was quaint!
Country and stylish...

"A working barn"

Large and lovely she was a grand barn in her day...

Barns were part of the livelihood for the American frontier and families...

A barn is a home to these little ones...

This barn is on a big incline;
It was probably hard in the winter snows and ice...

A side of a barn...

This barn was over 100 years old!
Just better with age...

Which way is the wind blowing?

How many hands have touched this barn door handle?

Good fences and boundaries keep us safe...

"Fields of gold and amber waves"
The breadbasket...

The harvest is gathered and placed in the waiting barns...

May this be a blessing to all who get to see the amazing
 Heritage we have in this country
"May God bless America"
From sea to shining sea...

I'm So Excited...

When was the last time you were this excited?

I really just got a kick out of this sweet little girls' enthusiasm.
She is a great example of what it might look like!

I am learning to take joy and pleasure in life moments!
Really each day has so many opportunities to be excited...

Sometimes we can feel so worn out it is hard to show enthusiasm
for much of anything.
But this is where we need to give ourselves a good talking to!

It is a very good practice to choose joy!

Like can seem very unpredictable, yet we all know that
God alone is in control...

What are some of the moments in your life that bring a smile?
Or maybe a squeal of delight.

I am so excited; I get to go and meet our newest
Grand Daughter!

What a blessing Motherhood is!
Did you ever think that the Motherhood stage in your life would of gone so fast?
I think I blinked...

Being excited will set the atmosphere and tone for your marriage.
It sets the tone for the family.
We can feel that time is marching on, so why not
get your boots on, and start beating the pan!
And singing at the tops of your lungs!

At first we might feel a bit undignified,
But really, your children or grandchildren will think
You're something special!!

We have so much to be thankful for and to be filled with
Joy that is described in the Word is not due to
Favorable circumstances;
But rather a hope and love for Him and those He has given us!

Sure, my joy bucket feels dry once in a while;
But then and there I must stop and patch that hole,
that allowed my joy to leak out!

Sometimes it may be un-forgiveness
It may even be just not getting enough rest.
It can even be what we might call being a stick in the mud!

Do something special!
Make this moment magical!
Give out hugs like they were real!

Pray for special God assignments to bless others!
Have you blessed someone today?

Dear Ones we are all accountable for this day;
What a difference a day makes;
So make it count for His Glory...

I'm so excited I just can't hide it....
I got sunshine on a cloudy day...

Never ever let the song in your heart die!
Sing to the cows come home!

I believe we can encourage ourselves by singing with melody in
Our Hearts...
Or on my case a joyful noise unto the Lord!

Lovely Memories...

Living from glory to glory Blog

Lake Michigan in all her glory;
No Salt
No Sharks
No Worries

Living from Glory to Glory Blog

Truly the handy work of a mighty God!
Dew in the morning

Living from Glory to Glory Blog

Fresh fruit to fill our bowls to overflowing!
Taste and see that the Lord is good!

Glory to Glory Blog

May the wind blow;
And the waves of His Love cover you!

May you live and move and have your
being in Him!
Every step I take I take in YOU...

A game of shuffleboard anyone?
Fun and games in the sun...

I am saying goodbye to another summer season...
I have had so may changes in my own life,
And I believe this is a season for many changes in your
own lives!

We must always be flexible so we will not break when a new
and wonderful change does come about.
When we stop to realize God is the potter and
we are the clay...
Girls were going to be so beautiful!

We had a lovely vacation this summer!
We had our 8th grandchild born!
We left our old church, after 12 years with them!
We have joined a new very small independent Baptist Church!
We saw so many rainbows this year!
We had a few hard trials.
I have noticed I am getting older and a bit slower.
I prefer my home and a few close friends over crowds.
My Hubby is my dearest friend...
My two closest friends are moving away soon.

My heart is heavy and glad all at the same time!
His mercies are new every morning...

Tell me about a new change in your own lives...
Where may this next season be taking you?

I pray each and every one of you who visit this humble blog;
Be blessed and filled to overflowing with His Word!

Details...

Beauty in the details

Details...
It really is the small things that make all things beautiful.
A smile and the nod of the head.
A gesture that speaks;
I see..
Seeing is so powerful
The intricate work done in earnest;

Who have they all done it for?

We are called to notice;
Small is really big

 Small holds the details,
which is the key to all things beautiful.

There is a door that no man can shut!
It is the place where the details and truth live.
What is really important are the details that have taken residence
in your heart and memories.

Not one single tear drop has escaped the Fathers notice.
They glisten like crystal in the Fathers bottle.

He has carved my name in His hand...

We are all an artist weaving and creating,
Masterpiece...

Take time to notice the details
 Take one single rain drop;
Focus on the rose petal and not the whole flower.

I spend much more time seeing the whole panoramic picture,
When I stop and take in the details,
 I can see the little things that
Make up the whole!

Take notice when others make something really special;
When they put some effort into the details of a project or a celebration!

I think we can get so overwhelmed with the very large portion,
we miss the little things!

The word tells us everything will pass away except;
His word...
Not even one jot or tittle!

Lovely China Is Made To Use...

Would you be willing to share your fine china?

I first saw this very pretty tableware in a little thrift shop about 20 years ago!
Well;
Little did I know that my dearest best friend had also seen this set and of
course loved it. As we have very similar taste!!
"Good Taste"

Well, she went back to this little thrift store to buy it.
And it was gone, her heart sank, I am sure;
And  she inquired of the Lady that owned the shop;
And she told her, well, I just sold it to a lady a little bit ago.

When she found out that it was me,
 I am sure she was glad that a total stranger had not boughten it!
It was at least still in the family!

I did tell her this,
We will share it!
 I will use it for a few years, then it will be your turn!
And that is what we have done.
We share this lovely flowered dish set that takes us back to our younger days.
When she came to my home for a
 Luncheon or tea time we used this lovely set.
And, now she uses them for when I go to her home for a luncheon.

I have found a treasure in an earthen vessel...
Friendships just don't happen,
 We must use and treat them like fine china.
Don't just take them out for a special holiday;
We want to be used and thought of daily.
Maybe just a prayer for them!
Or a quick TXT
(Don't be driving)
Email takes only a jiffy to send one!
A card by Email is so much fun!
Thanks Lydia...
Remember snail mail?
You write a letter and mail it;
The U.S, postal service mails it to their door!

How To Organize Your Recipes...

Every Women needs a place to keep her recipes,
 quick and orderly...
To rely too heavily on the internet is not really wise.
How many times have we all experienced the internet being down or not
having the precise recipe we are looking for.
Let's think about for a moment what makes a good dish or combination
of foods really special?
The taste of course, but the memories that are associated with certain
recipes are the best part of cooking;
Especially during holidays and birthdays and family get togethers.

Here is what I did to have my favorite recipes handy and organized and protected.

Firstly, purchase a box of plastic covering sheets,
Also purchase a few vinyl notebooks.
I did make a few different categories with my plan!

Here is where you put all your Main Course recipes and Side Dishes!
All my casserole dishes go into this one. All my delicious stews and soups.
Salads and Rice recipes.

I have so many Breads and Muffin recipes!
I find it easier to just pull out the notebook that has my Breads!
The staple of life!
Have you tried my Pumpkin Bread recipe?
Really, it is the BEST ever...
It makes three loaves at a time, one to eat, and one to freeze, and one to give away!
Click Here

Now, in this little Large notebook is my Sweets!
I once heard a friend say that her first tooth she cut was a sweet tooth...
I do think that is a true statement
(As I read it on the Internet also)
(And I also heard they can't print anything that is not true)

Now, this is filled with so many special and dear to my heart recipes of
Cookies and cakes and cream puffs!

Your collection of recipe  should be very special and pretty looking.
 As they really are heirlooms for your family and children to pass on!
Taking care of them and preserving them is a wise thing to do!

You will need a bit of pretty paper and some craft scissors,
Sticky adhesive photo splits.

What I did was put out a large card table, and started going through my box of recipes.
Then I started arranging them, I put them in stacks of the categories I chose,
from the above notebooks.You can have as many as you want.
Or make it as easy and simple as you would like!

I used my printer and recopied some of them, others I just slid them
into a plastic sheet protector.
It was so much fun to read over so many recipes.
Memories...
Now, this is where I made the decision on what recipes to keep and those to toss.
I asked myself if it was not family history or an heirloom to me, if I
had not ever made this or had no future plans on doing so out it went.

This was a couple of weeks in the making, as I did take my time
and enjoyed the process.
So I encourage you ladies to think about making up your own,
Family and your Mothers or Grandmothers special recipe notebooks.
This project might be something to do this summer
  when it is too hot to go outside.
In my case I did do it this last winter when it was too cold to go outside!
