What is Blogging Accomplishing In My Life...

What is blogging accomplishing in our lives?

Cold and Blustery Day

Saying goodbye to summer and fall again!
It is a bittersweet feeling...

As I love being cozy in my home and thinking of what;
I might bake or cook
Pondering what book I shall read next!
Digging into God's Word!
Learning to be still and know He is God!

Everyone is told this very thing;
Everything that has breath praise the Lord!

The storms of life will come!

Sometimes you can see a storm rolling in out where we live,
But sometimes a storm can catch you by surprise!

Can we always be well prepared for what is blowing in?

I think we are able to withstand so much if we are well
grounded and we have a firm foundation in Christ!

What really matters to you?
I believe my relationship with the Lord is my mainstay for everything!

Relationships are the most important...

Fellowship is God's way of teaching us unity and compassion!

Are you inquiring of the Lord today?
Are you accessing your values and goals?

Are we wasting precious time?
Only Christ can show us where we are spinning our wheels!

God is so gracious and we live in a grace place;
Paid with Christ blood;
A Pastor friend reminded me of this statement
"We are not Our own"

Are we all just trying to be heard through blogging?
Is blogging fulfilling an empty spot?
(That only God can fill)

Am I just trying to make a name for myself?
Is this what God has called me to do?
Or is this just another passing fad in the world according to me?

So, I might ask you is this?
What is blogging accomplishing in your life?

May we not look back and wish we had done something different;
With our time and energy and resources.

Blessings.

How To Incorporate Date Night...

Living from glory to glory blog

Making time for those special times together.

We are always so busy and we all have very full schedules!
The hubbub never ends, we can go 24/7

We as women would be wise to see the importance of
Implementing a date night with our Husbands.

When the children were small we could only have evenings alone
 While watching a movie.
 Or maybe just going out for pie and coffee.

But it does not matter if you have been married a lot of years;
Date Night
Or
Date Days

Must be done every so often!

We need this to keep things in touch with one another.

We can be together very often, but sometimes we do not let our
guard and busy brains just stop and enjoy!

Sitting across from one another and just really looking at each other!

We all need some alone time with our mates.
You can do these times together, even in the daytime;
If you even enjoy meeting with another couple for fellowship!

No hard, fast rules;
But being together and enjoying some laughter!
Meeting your Husband's needs is very important to keep
The Love Light glowing
(Or at least On)

So many are feeling the outside pressures of life, work and family
But we must remind ourselves
 as to how making this time is so important!

I had a lady tell me many years ago to always remember;
To put your Husband first!

Date Night or Date Day
You just need to be together...

Will you go out with me?

Shifting Gears...

Glory to Glory Blog

Why?
Or shall we ask, Why not?

Can you drive a stick shift?
How many gears?

We are on the race track and we are very close to the finishing line.
Everyday is another chance to shift gears quickly and smoothly!
Stalling out or missing a gear can be very harmful!
It really is all about timing!

A tank filled with gas!
Tune- up, with good spark plugs;
Use the proper weight of oil!
Check your mirrors
Fasten your seat belt!

We're rolling now sister...

Step on the gas, and enjoy a day of peace and adventure!
But we whine, I just want to stay home;
Well, sorry in order to get some things done, we need to go!

We are ALL called to GO!

Okay, just give me a list and a good GPS and I am gone.
No turning back!

Wait, stop this crazy fast car, I wanted to go for a slow leisurely
Sunday drive!!

Sorry, but we are on a goal setters track here!
(Goals, What in the heck tarnashin is a goal?)
Well, it is something that you drive towards,
Like in one direction so you don't get off course.

Rules:
Stay in your lane!
Keep things cool and keep a level head!
Obey the speed limit!
Remember others are on the same track!
(It's not all about You)

Just for the your information, I am not driven by goals!!
I am more like get in and see where I end up kinda girl!
Does this shock any of you?

I love having the freedom to go and explore!
I have many that love set goals and achieve them.
But I am not sure why I never do make goals,
Maybe it is not for everyone!

Besides, I drive an automatic now a days!
Grew up visiting the race tracks with my Daddy!
Fast and Furious
But, I am more slow and steady this old girl!

Do you enjoy these days?
Well, may I ask you Why or Why Not?

How Making Breakfast Keeps Your Man Happy (Green Chili Omelette)...

Fresh Eggs, Green Chilis, Living from glory to glory blog

A good breakfast is a perfect way to start your day!
Having chickens for many years has offered a very
Fresh and nutritious form of protein.

And we are known in these parts for our Chilis;
Hot, mild and just flavorful!
I will eat a hot one once in a while, but the mild is for me.

We are way past the egg not being a healthy form of protein!
Or at least I hope you are!
I have never seen so many troubles with diets in our world.
Between no gluten and lactose intolerance for so many people.

I have my own idea what has caused this to be so prominent.

How to make a Green Chili omelette;
Glory to Glory Blog

I like to get my chilies cooking first in the pan.
Then I sprinkle on the chesses, cheddar is best I think.
Then I pour in the eggs I whipped up!
You can flip it once to cook the bottom.

Living from glory to glory blog, Fresh Omelette, Country Breakfast

Serve with a side of meat like ham or bacon.
 A cinnamon roll is always a nice addition.
But we mostly use a whole grain bread!

I enjoy serving my Hubby a very filling breakfast;
made with love!
As this keeps him Happy and well cared for!

Oh, don't forget to thank the Lord!

Do you eat eggs?
Have you discovered any eating troubles caused from certain foods?

I am still trying to take sugar out of my diet.
It is so hard when our foods we eat are all carbohydrates...
Learning and growing is what keeps us happy and healthy.

Going to try my hand at an Irish Soda bread recipe;
Made with half rye flour and half whole wheat flour.
It will be a rustic sort of bread, but very low in glycemic index.

"Happy Day and eat well my friends"

Victorious Beautiful Tree...

Living from glory to glory blog

A man had a beautiful estate with magnificent trees on it. But he had
a bitter enemy, who said, "I will cut down one of his trees; that
will hurt him."

In the dark of night the enemy slipped over the fence and went to the
most beautiful of the trees, and with a saw and axes he began to work.
In the first light of morning he saw in the distance two men coming
over the hill on horseback, and recognized one of them as the
owner of the estate.

Hurriedly he pushed the wedges out and let the tree fall;
but one of the branches caught him and pinned him to the ground,
injuring him so badly that he died.

Before he died, he screeched out,
"Well, I have cut down your beautiful tree,"
And the estate owner looked at him with pity and said,
"This is the architect I have brought with me.

We had planned to build a house, and it was necessary to
cut down one tree to make room for the house;
and it is the one you have been working on all night."

Do not forget that anything the devil is working at, he is but
cutting down a tree God had planned to cut down;
he never did anything outside the overall plan of God,
for God is omnipotent and omniscient and victorious.

Loveliness In The Day to Day...

John Waterhouse

The Shrine

Loveliness is only seen by those who will stop to see!

It is all around us...

We are all so busy or tired that life is just passing so many people by.
"They have not learned the fine art of;
Stopping to smell the Roses!"

I do not want to just meander through my days;
As having a purpose and a plan are very important!

When we have those days of waking up with so much to do!
And you always have that mental list of
"Things I want to do"

We must pick and choose the list that has the MUST DO LIST,
But alas to take the time to find pleasure in this day!

We are all about to enter the busy holiday zone!

Can I send out a challenge to you amazing women;
To take pleasure in your decorating;
To take joy in planning some special dinners!
Make a pot of steamy soup on a very cool evening!

Try to take a brisk walk everyday!
Eat your veggies and salads!

Read a classic book before going off to bed!
Start your Christmas cards very early!
Buy a gift for someone each time you run to town:
Make something special for your girlfriends!

Let us not run like the world this coming season!
May we enjoy the early evenings!
Encourage those who struggle in their marriages.
Offer to help someone bake early Christmas cookies and freeze them!

Let's not wait to the last minute!

The true spirit is the Holy Spirit...
Let us stop to hear His direction for how we can be a blessing to others!

Verbatim...

Verbatim, Living from Glory to Glory blog

I must say that unless it has been recorded, we cannot be sure of
Exactly what someone may have said.

We talk so much in just an average day, that sometimes
we can forget a name or time or date.
And even some very pertinent facts of a story.

My heart goes out to so many people;
And we need to try to get the details straight.
But, we can be in danger of repeating things that should not be repeated.

I want to be slow to speak and quick to hear;
But I think it tends to be the other way around!

I sometimes think of that very disrespectful saying that goes,
Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah
Now, would that hold up in the courts of this land?
Well, maybe...
My point is this we must realize we can really add our personal
Feelings or thoughts on something
 And at times it can be perfectly fine.

But we mostly can be adding fuel to a fire!

Have you ever been so sorry that you opened your mouth?

Speaking is a privilege, not the freedom we make it!
Freedom of speech is something God has given us!
But it comes with responsibility!

May we all try harder to get our facts straight;
Or tell someone I don't want to answer that.
Maybe you should talk to the source.

We all need auto correct;
Oh wait, that could also get you into trouble,
As even with that we cannot be certain of what is really trying to be conveyed!

Well, you must all really want MY opinion on every matter!
After many years of being a bit different!
I have learned that this world is not waiting to hear what I think!
My opinion is just that;
MY opinion!

But we need to speak truth in love;
I have been trying a little experiment,
When I am giving what I believe is what the situation calls for,
I have not been looking into the person's face, but rather speaking
 Slowly and gently and looking at my hands or out a window.
 It has seemed to stop some of the confrontation that sparks!
May our words bring light!

This world is just looking for a fight!
Our battle is not with people, it just seems that way!

Choose your words and battles wisely...

I think the only Verbatim we will see is when God looks at
Every word we have spoken

Shortcomings...

Weakness and strength, Glory to Glory Blog

Weakness And Strengths

You will never be transformed by continually looking at your own shortcomings,
never !
Nor will you ever be transformed by looking at the weakness of
your fellow christian.

"You will only be conformed by continually looking upon the glory
of the Lord Jesus-"

For they who live looking and beholding , though they know it not,
are being"changed from glory to glory by the spirit of God"

God will use both your weaknesses and strengths!
We are beautiful and with a purpose He has ordained!

When a trial comes hard and fast;
I feel the axle of my being wanting to tilt.
But I have been practicing to stay upright.
Remember those Weeble people?
They might weeble, but they won't fall down.

Do you feel more aware of your shortcomings?
I have had to ask myself, is this the enemy taunting me?
For I know the ways of the spirit, gently woos and shows me!

When I am in sin, He convicts me strongly;
That whisper that shows you are wrong.
Obey quickly...

I get tired of the enemy pointing out my shortcomings!
(Like I am not already aware of them)

My Hubby and I need to re-connect after we were slam blasted
with trauma and worry!

But, God is gracious and has helped us once again!

Sometimes we need to just go out for a meal together!
Hold hands, and count your blessings.
Pray for all those who are in need of prayer!
Do a kind deed for someone!

I desire to be a kind and gracious women;
But we all can feel the strain and stress of life's struggles!

Do we give up?
No, we never give up!
Keep looking into His word;
Lay your burdens down!
He knows we are but dust...

We must remind ourselves that we are just passing through!
We can't live in the short stop;
But rather the long haul!
From Glory to Glory

Be beautiful inside and out, as you are a special treasure!
