How I Make My Fall Treat Mix...

My Fall Treat Mix

When fall comes around, I always like to make a special mix of sweet and salty treats.
I enjoy adding a cereal that has a maple flavor to it!

I know this may be not on your food list of things to eat, but it is only once a year!

I have always thought the memories that it comes with it is so worth it!
~I am sure you foodies out there will make a healthier version~

But, it makes me happy and brings a smile to my face...

You can really add anything you want into your own batch;
But sweet and salty is what I aim for in mine.

It really is convenient to make up a batch and store in a pretty glass jar!
I always make up a little bag of it and put it in my car for a snack.
You can add fruit or nuts, really whatever your heart desires.

Why are making memories so powerful to one's heart and sense's?
I have come to a stage in my life where I believe I can answer that very question.

Everything holds a memory;
That is why we must always take heed to make some good ones.
I am thankful that the good ones over power the ones that hinder or harm.

Do you know that even the sound of your voice portrays an emotion?
That is why our tone is so important!
Keep the bitterness out of our words;
As we may just have to eat them...

May our words be salty or sweet!

My Recipe For My Fall Mix

1 bag of goldfish crackers
1 box of Chocolate Grahams
1 small bag of chocolate M&M's

Learn To Say No...

When I think about the season that smells of pumpkin and rich spices;
I feel a cozy sensation that we have now completed another portion.

Because of the strong and bright appearance that a pumpkin has,
We can see that time can bring forth a strong and lovely stature.

I can't help but think of the changes that happen in our lives.
We cannot stop the process of life that does bring about these changes.
These things will always be in the process of change.

We can all say remember when;

We would be bored to tears if nothing ever changed!

If the seasons did not change, we would miss the delights and the sorrows.
The summer brings long hot days and balmy nights.
The fall brings fruits and harvest of much hard work,
And the colors that are on display,
They twist and twirl and seem to be having the last dance, as if to say goodbye.
Winter can be harsh and can keep us close to home;
When the evening starts very early, we can embrace the longer evenings.
Then just when we feel like the never ending season of winter.
Then along comes spring once again to remind us;

God is still doing a good work within us!

But oh, we can take the time to be diligent in  how we live our days,
We also can take joy...

Dear Ones if you are feeling heavy laden;
Give it to God and learn to say no when a demand results in crushing your joy!

We are not suppose to say yes, to everything that comes our way;
Because we can actually start to feel a social justice to the world that we must accomplish!

This can become a false duty rather than a calling from God!

Why Our Wounded Pride Hurts Our Feelings...

Living From Glory To Glory Blog

His Grace Is Sufficient...

Dear Wounded Pride, Greetings from a wounded place
(My Heart)

My dear sisters in Christ;
May I come along side of you and speak this word?
Or maybe a reminder of his fellowship of his sufferings.

When I have experienced a word spoken to me that hurt my feelings,
 Or if I have spoken a word that hurt anothers feelings.
And this can even be a word of correction to us or we spoke to another.
This can become a feeling of being corrected or slighted, or totally ignored!

"A great crisis overshadows which test and tries my very soul."

Oh, My wounded PRIDE...

Then at once that sinking feeling hits the pit of my stomach.
I am being deflated by my wounded pride.

Why?

I am looking at myself and have taken my eyes off Jesus!

But wait there has got to be an easier way to die to self---

Or NOT!

Keep Your Eyes On Jesus
And give no room to the pride of this life...
Oh, and add no more fuel to the fire!

The tongue is a little member and boasts great things.
See how great a forest a little fire kindles!
And the tongue is a fire,
A world of iniquity.
The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body,
And sets on fire the course of nature;
And it is set on fire by hell.
James 3:5-6

Learning to trust the Lord and humble my heart before God and others!
I would rather be kind to another, then right in my own opinion!
"You can have your own opinion, you just don't share it"
Kindness is greater and easier then humble pie served alone.
We need one another, and these blows can cause great destruction!

Also, ask yourself this question...
Can I forgive those who have wounded me?
YES;
Seventy times seven...

May the law of kindness be upon our tongue's!
Proverbs 31:26

Screaming From My Bandwagon...

Living From Glory To Glory Blog

Here is my bandwagon of friends in my twenties;
We were all different and came in many shapes and sizes.
We all had a ton of energy and ideas to live out!
We were young...

This bandwagon was also the place where I knew everything;
And I needed no one to tell me anything!
We were taking our free ride.

Now, After getting a bit older and getting married;
My bandwagon got smaller;
These few friends on my wagon;
We're changing;
They we conservative, and voted and loved the Lord
We wanted our marriages to last!
We wanted our children to have a safe environment!
Not like the one where so many came and went;
And they believed many things...

Now, Here I am today!
I no longer need a bandwagon or a megaphone!
I just need a few people to give me wise counsel!
A few that stick with me through thick and thin!
A few that can be trusted!
Some that will take wise counsel from me!

I have said this once and I will say it again
If you can not take wise counsel
Or take constructive criticism
We will ride alone on a bandwagon...

So the moral of my story is this;
Better to have a few well trusted, honest friends on my flatbed;
Going places that matter and choosing my battles wisely!

Good Day!

Cultivate A Love Of Reading...

Living From Glory To Glory Blog

I have really been enjoying some sweet, wholesome reading lately.
I find it settles me with words that allow my imagination to roam.

A good book can be read more then once!
Have you read a book more than once?

I like to have a library of good books to read when the fancy strikes me.
A good book has the ability to draw you into the story.
At times you can even identify with the characters.

A good sweet love story can even help you remember
Why We have fallen in love...

Sometimes this world is so hard and gruff;
We need to take time out to be refreshed and to do something that,
Allows us to take joy in simple pleasures.

Being at peace and rest keeps us healthy.
Women can get so emotional and defensive,
Just by not getting enough rest!

Reading is a wonderful thing to do!

Just be mindful of what you are reading;
Some material and books can create frustration!
I myself even enjoy reading books and blogs that help me grow and
Promotes new ideas for crafts or cooking!
I also enjoy teaching ministries!

The Remnant A Heavenly Quilt...

We as women are in need of covering...
Spiritual and Physical
As we see the damage done as even the children today reject covering.

The whole earth is filled with His Glory...

We need covering in our lives, such as those that pray for us!
Those that call sin, sin...

Too many of us are just too polite!

We can be so polite that we may miss a chance to speak truth!

I just assume to rather mind my own business;
So I really enjoy when God orchestrates His teaching moments.

We are inundated with information, and you get to pick what best suits you!
(This is a very dangerous practice)

I trust that if I ask for wisdom God will provide me with it;
As I read and study His word...
Why, where else could I go?

No one is really interested in what I might have to say;
It feels like a slow fade...

Yet, I am being renewed in learning to take joy in my position in this life.
We get to enjoy and savor the sweet moments and learn something new.

I will be content with my portion

A Quilt is so wonderful;
 They come in so many sizes and colors
They keep us covered from the chills that blow from outside sources.
We can even see them as a decoration in a room
A covering upon one's bed
A throw over a back of a chair or couch
A gift hand made to a newly married couple

I desire what matters most to my Lord;
To love my husband and to be his helpmate
To be a keeper of this home
To be a good friend
To teach women how to love their own husbands
To help them to know how to train their own children...

But, alas, this may be a dying breed of woman!

Maybe we just need to cover ourselves and those we love;
With the heavenly quilt of prayer...

I see the need to remind myself that the word speaks of
~ A  Remnant ~
That my dear is just what every quilt is made out of!
Those little unique and imperfect pieces of material
Every shape and size and color...

Utmost For His Highest...

My Utmost For His Highest...

Most days just come to us wrapped in either sunshine or clouds.
~Each day has potential to live out His perfect will~

The contrast, seems to be light and dark...

We are pilgrims and we are on a journey to a far away land.
But, this journey usually takes place within a boundary that He
has placed you in!

I have learned most my lessons of biblical womanhood right within
my very home and church family.

We have been set in a certain place for a season and we also have been called out.
This seems to be the ebb and flow!
When we can adjust to these things we grow.

Truth is not always so easy to find...

We always think that the Bereans were special because they were
always seeming to be very religious;
They spent their time in nothing else but either to tell or to hear
some new thing.
Acts 17:19-34

Stay in the Word
Study to show yourself approved
Stay and sit at the Lord's feet...

I have been cleaning out around here;
Paperwork
Books that are not approved;
Have been written with a tilt or an open false belief.

My first calling is to keep myself set apart
The narrow path is just that
~Narrow~
Yet, we can find unity in many things;
We must do all things in love and allow others to grow
 and to change as the Spirit leads them!

We are asked in the scriptures to check ourselves to
"To see that we are in the faith"

Why, because as the hymn states
Lord, I know that I am prone to wander...

My home and marriage is the most important mission fields,
Yet, we can reach out to one another as the Lord leads.
Encourage a woman today, that she is doing a powerful work
Training, teaching and being a Godly example, in her very home.

I hope to start doing some ribbon embroidering soon.
I have to go and pick up a needle with a large eye to thread
The ribbon into it. I have never done this, but I hope to give it a whirl.

Have you started any new projects to keep you busy at home?
(Well, that sounded silly, like any one of us have a spare moment)

Blessings to all of you!
