I've had this sewing machine forever,
Nothing fancy but it's strong and reliable!
Being self-taught is a bit of a challenge!
I think we have stopped handing down many things
To the next generation!

~Making and Keeping Friends~
Now, this can be harder than you might think.
Because if you have been alive long enough to experience;
True friendship it is a treasure!
I have been gifted with some true blue friends!
" It is worth while to make friends if they are worthy"
Now, what does that even mean?
Have you ever even thought about
What makes a good friend?
Is this something we even talk about?!
Do we even try to teach others about being a good friend?
In grade school, you might remember being treated as a friend
And the next day you've not even talked to by that group of girls.
I remember being crushed by their cruelty.
Even as a grown woman, I have experienced the rejection
from someone I thought was my friend.
That is why we must look to the true standards of friendship.
Firstly, we must extend Grace...
And realize friendships require love and time.
And a friendship should not be one sided.
What I mean is that you have to always initiate it!
That becomes exhausting!
As wives, and mothers, we must keep our energy
for our families!
So, we must wise in who we allow into our lives.
True friendships will build you up, and encourage you!
True friends do not quickly judge you.
Because they know your heart and motive;
They consider that you may be going through a trial.
And in this world you may be falsely accused,
But be of good courage...
Christ asked us to give our lives for those friendships.
That is why we only need those friendships
That God has put in your lives!
I once prayed for God to remove all the friendships
I had that were not from Him...
And a few just were gone (POOF)
No friendship should be formed
Which is not beautiful enough for Heaven!
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
And do not quickly desire a close relationship with
Someone we have just met.
Beware of those who are very needy.
Remember to be a good friend takes strength and energy.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
To have a good friend you must be a good friend!
But really I have seen a shift in people not being able
to attend to those relationships anymore.
And that is okay also.
So maybe we just must take better care
of the few you may have left!
So we should hang tightly those
Friendships that were a treasure given to us!
Do not let them go!!!
I also want to extend condolences to those that have lost
A precious friend...
Much Love and Grace to All My Precious Friends...
Hugs, Roxy
Are you wild at Heart?
I bet many of you are!
But, I must say the wild and yearning in my life;
Is much tamer as the years have come and gone in my life.
I prefer a comfy place to tend to my thoughts and ambitions.
I read about great adventures and daring feats.
But I feel safe in my world of predictable.
I'm not talking about the unexpected things in life that
no matter who or where we are will to be affected by!
But, I do not take risks that are unnecessary anymore!
Driving in rain storms and climbing high up into the mountains.
I prefer the tranquil country road!
I feel like Winnie the Pooh
I want my honeypot and to get out of the blustery day!
But, I am still young at heart!
I sometimes look into the mirror and wonder
Who that old lady is??
But alas it is me older and wiser
And filled with a deep down contentment mostly.
The unrest comes when I read or watch those things,
That try to show me there is something better or more for me!
I want to see more of this amazing world.
But traveling anymore seems like so much work.
So I will just have to live adventerous in my own backyard!
This day and your life is made up of living fully
One at a time...
This is me now!
Live and enjoy this day!!
Find comfort in those small cozy places;
in your heart and your home!
Blessings, Roxy
God's Provisions...
Jesus took the Loaves and gave thanks for them.
One memory that I remember growing up was saying Grace.
We must not ever waste his bounties.
I have read this saying;
"Loaves unblessed are loaves unmultiplied."
If Jesus did this before partaking of food
or serving it to others. I do think with all my heart
this is a wonderful to thank God for his provisions.
So, we should make a habit and pause and thank God.
Before eating our meals. Even if it's just yourself sitting
down for a quick lunch or a feast with friends.
Many times if we are with unbelievers we have to do this
Quietly and yet unapologetically!
If we will give thanks and eat in faith, we will
Always enjoy what we have been given to sustain our bodies.
~Make some fresh bread and break it and give thanks~
Oh, but don't forget the butter!!
Saying Grace is a bit like this;
We are saved by GRACE...
Do You Say Grace?
We bless God when we do!
As always: Living From Glory To Glory
It's just some days are harder then others...

Recognition In Heaven
I have been thinking about this lately.
Maybe because it's almost Mothers Day;
Or because a very special friend passed away.
Or remembering all those that have gone before me.
My time has not come...
I can think of so many family members and friends!
They have left this earth.
My hope and prayer is that they have gone on to Heaven!
Heaven to me is my Heavenly Home that has been
Prepared in advance for my Homecoming.
I can't even imagine not knowing each and every person that,
I ever knew in my lifetime will recognize me and I them!
I will be with all those my life had ever touched.
It could even be a seed or prayer that entwined our paths.
I miss those that have gone before me.
It's amazing to think that God made me a Heavenly Home;
And Christ paid the price for me to have an eternal Home;
And so many will be there to know me and recognize me!
Our true family...
All our relationships bound together through Christ
Will be deepened and enriched...
Will I see You There?
Much Love and Blessings Roxy
~Managing Your Home~
Today I am reminded that I am the keeper of my Home,
And the very fact it is now Springtime here.
I need to do something everyday to get things freshened up.
There is one thing about housework you never fully catch up,
But maybe by just a few days.
As we are supposed to live in our homes and enjoy them.
But my thought in this process is this;
May we find joy and feel blessed and even a filling up
in our hearts to have a home and to want to create a haven.
Our Homes should reflect peace and tranquility
(Most of the time)
May I be the a caretaker and a good steward of all
He has given me!!
Work while it is yet day!
Set your hand to a task, and take pleasure in the process.
May our Homes be filled with comfort and peace.
A pleasant atmosphere is worth much...
May, I just say that it is the woman that can help
Keep the atmosphere pleasant.
Remember the saying,
"If Momma ain't happy, nobody is"
I believe God has entrusted us to keep order in our Homes.
And to create beauty and color and intentional
"Welcoming touches"
Ask the Lord for help in setting your Home in order!
And for the strength to do the work and to be
Grateful in the process...
My Tips:
1.Do something every day to clean out and organize.
2.Take your time and look for things to change out,
Or to get rid of or to replace with something else.
3.Make each room or area functional yet cozy!
Look, being a Homemaker is a worthy calling,
It brings great joy to everyone.
Chaos and clutter and dirty homes are not glorifying to God!
Now, I did not say perfect!!!
I can tell when I walk into anyone's Home,
Whether it is loved and cared for!
Is your Home a Happy Home??
Much Love to All!!
I am in the process of Spring Cleaning my Home
Pray for me as we get older everything takes longer;
And seems harder to do.
That's why little by little will accomplish much"
On the Old Homesteads it was a major thing to clean the
Home from top to bottom in the Spring...
Hugs, Roxy
A life need not to be great to be beautiful.
There is as much beauty in a tiny flower
As in the majestic mountains, I look out upon
Each and every morning!
Is the sunrise more beautiful than the
Grandeur of a heavenly painted sunset?
A beautiful life is one who fills its mission
in this world, and does what it was created to do!
I must remind myself that in this day alone, that even
The smallest act of any commonplace work I may do.
Will be considered great in God's eyes.
What we all can do today and everyday are
These very things that we all need to have.
As we walk these dusty roads in our travels.
Even Jesus said we need to wash the feet of others!
We all need compassion, human kindness.
We all need fellowship and friendly cheer!
Are you blessed with a rich friendship?
You have been given a companion to travel
Your dusty road in this life.
The Hearts Daily Bread
Our hearts hunger for daily bread
These are the things we need:
Gentleness
Affection
Comfort
Inspiration
Hope
Strength
Every Soul needs these to have a beautiful life!
~May you be the one to brighten someone's life today~
Hugs and Hope
Always, Roxy
Living From Glory To Glory
GOOD FRIDAY
A Very Solemn And Serious Day
If there was ever a day where we might really,
Stop and reflect and have a sacred sense of what
Christ willingly did for the human race.
Do we even know how to be serious anymore?
Can we just look into the heart of the only
Savior we will ever be given and realize what He came
to do for YOU...
Jesus gave up his life, h
He laid it down!
So I might walk and run and not grow weary.
For the heaviness of sin will crush you!
But He has rescued us and delivered us from the
Dark domain of sin and it's stronghold.
"Humble yourselves before the Lord,
and he will lift you up."
James 4:10
It is because of my sin He was crucified!
Jesus gave up his life to pay the penalty
of the sin of the whole world.
" But this is personal:
He paid the debt for my sin! "
The enemy wants to take our strength
He wants to make us unable to walk or run!
So I pray for the strength and ability
For each of us to be able to walk and run and finish our race!
Remember God Brings sweetness out of bitterness,
And gives beauty for ashes.
Wait: Jesus said " I am God"
And I have the power of resurrection and of life
In My Hand...
John 11:25
Blessings and Strength
