The Ministry Of Kindness Is A Real Ministry...

The Ministry Of Kindness, living from glory to glory blog...

~The Ministry of Kindness~

Do you ever feel like you just do not do enough in ministry?

I think we become allured away from the real issues of ministry;
With the idea we need to be up front or being present in a program!

I once heard a lady say that if the women didn't do it in the
Church it wouldn't get done. And that never sat well with me!

But as I have realized that there are many ministries
We can do from home and wherever we are in each day we live.

Many just want to be seen and heard and that is very valid!

But for myself, I like the backseat!

So, how can I be used and be a help to the Church?

Well, I have taken this to heart and I pray it grows and blossoms!

The Ministry Of Kindness...

The world is just exploding with stuff and things and problems;
But we can be a part of the solution!

Being Kind is truly a fruit and it can fill an empty heart or home!

There will be many tribulations in a Christians life!
But it is in these very things that we can use this ministry of kindness!

We also glory in tribulations knowing that tribulations produce;
Perseverance, character, and hope
Romans 5:4

So when a brother or sister is experiencing this very thing;
We can show them kindness!
Encourage them to Persevere, tell them that when they do this,
Christ will be formed in them!
And tell them while in Christ we have this great Hope...

Minister to one another!

Thank you for all the kindness you have shown me!

Blessings, Roxy

  1. Dear Roxy ... My thoughts exactly. One of my favorite Bible verses is Galatians 5:22-23 ♥ But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. I believe that kindness is a gift from God that I want to share with others. It may be in our church, the post office, the bank, the doctor's office, while checking out at the market or any place that we are with others. Kindness is such a simple thing ... but it is a blessing for the giver as well as the one receiving the act of kindness. I much prefer the quiet way of reaching out and sharing from my heart. Have a blessed day. Hugs ♥ Teri

  2. This is a wonderful post, Roxy. That is the ONE THING I 'preach' to my grandkids over and over. BE never know how far a little kindness will go in someone's life. There is too much sadness and stress-producing things in the world and kindness can combat a lot of the 'bads' in today's world.
    Have a blessed day- xo Diana

  3. I so agree. The kindness of blog friends has kept me going this past month. What a blessing! Hugs, Diane

  4. I appreciate your blog very much Roxy, and what a gentle reminder!

  5. Yes, kindness! And it doesn't cost a thing! Just a smile, given away, to someone who isn't expecting it or who needs it!

  6. Something we can all do and continue to work on. Lovely post.

  7. I like the "backseat" kind of ministries too Roxy! Limelight is not for me! But oh yes, kindness is something we can all do, and like Diana said above, you never know how far your act of kindness can go, or what a person may be going through. We don't need to have any recognition for what we do, but we can know in our hearts that we are loving people even as Jesus has loved us, and what a ministry that is! Some water, some plant, some reap... it is all part of what needs to be done... Appreciate your thoughts as always, may the Lord blessed the fruits of your love for Him in all you do!

  8. Ok. Just reread this because I liked it so much!( Just thought I would let you know!

  9. A ministry of kindness....very sweetly and honestly spoken! So many people go running out to try and do ministry instead of letting the Lord open the doors for us to serve Him. This ministry of kindness is a wonderful gift that the Lord gives us women who are available to give of our time to the Lord.

I really appreciate your comments! May they be kind and helpful to encourage my walk, and bless others as they read them. Thank-you!
