May Others Ask "What Is The Occasion" When entering Your Home...

Autumn Decorations, Living From Glory To Glory Blog

Embracing The Future...

See my little squirrel on my mantel?
My sweet new addition to my mantel;
Actually, almost everything up on it for my fall decor is new.

I had in my mind to jazz it up a bit this year!
Everything that is usually on it, I moved it to the kitchen hutch!

The honking geese flying over the house tells me that
Fall is coming...

Geeses Flying, Living From glory To Glory Blog

Life has moments of spiritual exaltations,
But God balances them with daily toils.

Lord, may Your Word, cultivate love in my heart!

In these days we must warm our homes and hearth
with all the things that bring hope and joy!

Current Bush, Living From Glory To Glory Blog...

You can take a strand of twinkly lights and place them,
About the living room or kitchen and bring a happy ambience.

It's time to wash all the throw blankets for keeping cozy!
Get the blankets you use on the bed, washed and ready for cooler nights!

Looking at the shorter days ahead and not getting prepared,
will cause you not to be ready!
I want to be girded up and have some ideas for a few crafts!

I have some material for some new curtains in my living room.

Looking at everyday tasks and responsibilities,
we see that not all of them are not enjoyable.

But I am asking the myself;
"How can I spark JOY in my heart and bring JOY to my Father"

Last year I was not prepared for the long, cold days and evenings.
So I am trying to refocus and make a list of things to do!

Our men will have to chop and split and stack firewood!
I will be putting up my warmer curtains!

Begin where you are and build upon each day in this month!
You will be able to look back and see the wisdom in being prepared!

May others look at your home and JOY and ask;
"What Is The Occasion"

Everyday is a holiday...

Thank You All for loving me with kind comments!
And for seeing value in this blog!

  1. Your mantle is beautiful! Right now I'm only dreaming of a decorated mantle because I'm still in process of unpacking boxes. Frankly, I'm over the moon happy because I've found a lovely new to me church to attend. In the meantime, I unpack, unpack, unpack. Life is good because God is good.

  3. Your fall mantle is very pretty! I think fall is my favorite season with all the leaves changing color and sips of pumpkin spice tea!

  4. Great reminder Roxy. I am making my list of things to do this winter. I love to cross stitch in the evenings. I have far too many projects lined up that I want to do, but I am getting things in order and my mind set for shorter daylight hours. I read a blog post a very long time ago and I can't even remember who wrote it about using the winter as a time to refuel ourselves. It stuck with me.
    I have always loved your rose painting above the mantle. I remember when you first posted it.

  6. This is especially meaningful to me since my surgery will be October 20th. After that, I won't feel like doing much for awhile. I'll start my IV treatments again in November. I don't know when radiation will begin. It's a long road. I have almost three weeks that God has given me to enjoy and prepare as best I can.

    God bless you my friend!
    I'm sharing this post in my October 2nd post, too.
    Hug,
    Laura

  7. I like this--every day is a holiday. Great advice Roxy. We will celebrate in the dark, cold dull-sky days. Every day.God made all the days, not just special days, so we can have a special day every day..

  11. It is wonderful how you're cheered up your home with the fall decor. It's nice to have something new. As winter is around the corner...you've got me thinking of one thing I've not been doing and that's washing the blankets...thanks for the reminder!
    Every day is a gift from the Lord and so we can rejoice and joy in it.
    Praying you have a blessed day today!
