The Real Deal...

Sweeter than Sweet

Okay, This morning I am feeling much better!
In my last post I was sharing of my bad reaction to the product Stevia.
I know many people, my Husband included can use this product,
With no reactions!

But I have always been the 1% that will experience a side effect,
If there is even one listed!
The muscle pain was so very weird, and so not worth me using it any longer.

In my pretty green sugar bowl is a sugar mixture of a few products;
(The green sugar bowl was a gift from my daughter and daughter in love)
MANY YEARS AGO....
Mixed together:
Coconut sugar
Sucanat
Pure Cane sugar

Also, I have Agave, which I was disappointed to read it is much
Like High fructose syrup!

Now, the Honey is natural and from a local Bee Keeper
Even though it is in this container (I liked the squeeze bottle)

I believe I have more sweet taste buds on my witty tongue;
And therefore I need a bit more sugar!
Or maybe this is what they mean by when someone says SHE (me)!
Has a sweet tooth....
Hmmmmm!

I am so Blessed and Happy!!
We all need to watch how much sugar we consume;
As so many are in the beginnings of what they call stage 1 diabetes.
(Which is really no such thing)
It is an insulin resistance that comes from
Too many grains (CARBS) and simple sugars!

This is a learning curve for me;
But I think the GMO thing is a huge culprit.

All this just because some like it HOT!
Some like SWEET!

I love hearing your thoughts and ideas!
Maybe we can have are own reviews and we won't have to Read a book;
And be asked to have a follower's button!
What do you all think?
Will I keep the Button and watch it like a sheet of cookies in the oven;
And hope they don't burn!!
I struggle with rates and followers
I am more like let it flow and grow kinda gal !!

A Homemakers Buisness...

This last Summer I had found an Etsy Shop that carried
Homemade ironing board covers.

Now, normally I would buy whatever cute design I could find
At either Target or other large chain stores.
But this time I was really looking for a very special pattern.
"Roses"
I could not find one single one!

You're now thinking REALLY;
Yes...
There are times that just plain old plain old,
Just will not work!
Sometimes we need to find just the right one.
Right!

Well, I placed my order and was contacted promptly;
I received this very simple and cute packaged wrapped so inviting.
.
Here is her personnel tag attached to it!
I have never ordered anything from an Etsy Shop before.

I immediately removed my old one, and replaced it with this
Beautiful rose one!

If any of you sweet ladies have followed me very long,
You know how much I enjoy ironing.
So it might as well be a pretty ironing board!
"See everything does come up Roses"

I believe in being a homemaker and being HOME!
I also have seen how many women have used their creative talents,
That have been given to them, by the Lord for helping their households.
It is important to always support those women who have;
These cottage businesses, as they are being biblical, yet staying home.
We can help support them by purchasing their crafts they make,
And the items they sell in their Etsy Stores,
Or when they sell them at craft fairs.

Do you buy items that you are looking for from an Etsy Shop?
Aprons, Unique Crafts and Gifts,
Cards and Candles and homemade Soaps and Lotions.
And in my case a one of a kind ironing board cover!

"She seeks wool and flax, And willingly works with her hands.
She makes linen garments and sells them, And supplies
Sashes for the merchants."
Proverbs 31: 13, 24

Out With The Old And In With The New...

My refrigerator always gets jammed packed during
the holidays; I open the door and just hope nothing lands
on my toes...
I did go into town today just to get the basics,
Such as milk and some fruit and veggies.
Eggs, cheese and so on!
Oh, I also got my next year Christmas cards half off!

But the moral of this post is this;
Some things just expire!!
I am hoping to downsize with some of my clothes,
I know longer wear or are appropriate any longer.
Hope to reorganize my pantry and throw out what
is not either good for me, or is just old.

Going to go through all of my books again and
dust and reorganize them.
Maybe even buy some new ones, before
Everything goes digital. (Sigh)

I still love holding a book in my hands, something I can
even underline the special parts.

I miss having real pictures!
People will say, you want to see my grandchildren?
They whip open their phone,
SEE...

Favorite Gift:
One of my favorite gifts this Christmas...
I asked my children  to just
give us an old fashion picture album.
With real pictures in it!
Now that was a novice idea LOL

It Was Time!
Okay, is everyone sitting down?
I have taken down my Christmas Tree!!
It was either that or I was going to have to dust the bulbs,
 And decorations. (NOT)

Holiday Fun!
We went sledding yesterday with dear family friends,
I said no way was I getting on one of those sleds.
I lied!!
I went down three times...
I laughed and screamed like a little girl :)

I am so happy and blessed!
I hope each and every one of you out there,
Are enjoying your days!

Remember never sniff expired milk!

Blessings,
Roxy

One Of the Many Uses For A Head Lamp

All I want for Christmas!

My sweet Hubby asked me today;
Honey is there anything else you wanted for Christmas?
I was speechless (Well almost)

Our Father in heaven knows what we need and want,
Even before we ask!

I have been so blessed to have a wonderful Husband!
I have been given many godly women as my friends!

I cherish my Children and my Grandchildren!
Counting my blessings...

So I decide to call my sister!
 and here is what she is dealing with;

My sister in Michigan has no power and no running water.
They have had a terrible ice storm.
 And this has caused many
Downed trees on their property.
They have told them they may not have power up until
December 26th or the 27th!
She starts telling me about how she has tried to get her gifts
 finished before Christmas.
So she has had to wear a head lamp to see!

Now, with these thoughts rolling around in my head as
My sister wears a head lamp on her head trying to crochet a wash cloth!!

Now I am cracking up here!

Plus she has not been able to wash her hair for two days!
Not a pretty picture for the Holidays...
My sister has always had the best attitude even in
the hard times!
Her whole town is out of power!

Can I ask if just maybe my sister and the whole town where she
Lives, to have their power restored,
For Christmas?

Does this good attitude of my sister sound like an overcomer?

Blessings,
Roxy

Dress For The Occasion...

Okay, If even a chicken is willing to dress her best during the holidays,
Should we not also?

I want to bring this thought forward...
I was thinking of Queen Esther and how
She was preparing to meet the King!
She didn't just run a brush through her hair and called it good!
Rather she took time, and did all she could to be beautiful.

I sometimes feel grieved over how we are dressing down,
I think when we dress to look ready for the day,
We act differently!

Is it just me or have we shifted into such a leisurely look,
And so casual, we do not dress for many occasions at all!
Now, I always like to think that on Sunday mornings,
I am preparing to meet royalty (KING JESUS)

I declare and decree to all the land of ladies of Christ!
Dress for Him!
Shine like the Queens you are!
Even if it is for only for being in your palace!
(Home)

I was so shocked to see the website with all
The different people shopping in Walmart,
And how badly they were dressed.
Mostly on purpose...

We dear ones have a high calling!
Dress for it!
Dress or Your King!

Sometimes I think we show dignity to others by the way we dress!
I think we can express strength in the way we dress!
How you dress will reflect His image!
Poorly or by honoring Christ?
You have a choice every morning as to how you will clothe yourself.
Choose well and be warm and cozy without
 Eliminating the feminine touch.

Blessings,
Roxy

How Not To Become Dehydrated In The Winter Time...

Healing and Refreshing!
This time of year when it is -3 degrees (THE HIGH)
We can become dehydrated!
We may not be drinking enough water to keep
Ourselves healthy!
Water alone cleanses our system and lubricates
Our organs and joints.
It can even help clear your thinking!
When we are cold and it is freezing out, we tend to drink
Less water, and lean to the teas and coffees and don't
Forget the hot chocolate :)
Also, when the furnace runs all the time,
Or your wood stove burns 24/7
You are being dried out kinda like JERKY meat!
We must make an effort to drink more water
H20 !!
Also, this is a beauty secret for your skin to appear
Fresh and moist!
Also, I just want to put a thought out to you Mommas out there,
Your little ones should only be drinking water
 As their main beverage!
Their livers and kidneys need it!
If your mouth is dry and your lips chapped,
You are already dehydrated!
Serve a glass of water with every meal,
And fill a glass of water for each family member of the
Beginning of each day!
Drink-up!
Blessings,
Roxy

May I Not Complain...

May, I not complain this day while preparing our meals!
I am so grateful for the women who have
Weathered many a storm!
They have stood and endured hard times in this country,
When we were not so prosperous.
Yet:
Many women still today,
are having tough times!
I feel, so blessed to have a very large kitchen,
with running water, and cupboards filled
with food and provisions!
We sometimes can forget that not too long ago,
This country of ours was in dire straights.
Depression...
May we give thanks now while we have plenty!
I always think of the story of Joseph...
He prepared and put back for seven years,
while there was plenty...

I want to encourage you women, to be wise homemakers!
We have to learn to take advantage
of the sales of food items!

Also to buy vegetables and fruits in season,
so you can either freeze them or learn to can them.

This growing season is now over for most of us.
But, may we start where we can;
Purpose in your heart, and plan to put together
A pantry that will sustain your family,
for at least a month!

You must be wise, and buy on sale!
Date and rotate all items!
Buy only what you will eat!
Take a class and learn to can food items!
Always have plenty of drinking water put back!

I have learned this one thing;
No matter the crisis, my family still gets hungry :)

God, has put it in a Mommas heart to feed and
To take care of her family.
I do not want to complain or murmur,
But rather give thanks!
We are very rich indeed!
Blessings,
Roxy

Lonely Feelings Find Everyone...

Living From Glory To Glory Blog

Separation from anything or anybody, can cause an unrest within ourselves.
Self can become the only beating heart!

All will experience this feeling;

We call it LONELY
There are clubs for it.

Books have been written about it

Many songs have been sung about it

Yet, lonely has not escaped anyone!

We will always find ourselves in a lonely place:
Either in our hearts or minds...

Because we are separated by color by education
By statue Que
By Male or Female

But those are not the real reason’s!
But it is because we live in a sinful world.

Only our connection with Christ and Him crucified will
Give us the wholeness we desire.
We will always feel the lonely feeling
For until we come into His fullness
It will invade;
Our busy
Our noise
Our space
Our hearts

For we cannot silence this lonely!
~It must be filled~
Blessings,
Roxy

Sensible Shoes

I am outside first thing in the morning, doing my daily chores!

Dressed in my purple PJ'S
And my old Birkenstocks...

Not a pretty sight
(What the Heck, I live in the boonies)
SERIOUSLY!!

We have been having terrible dirt storms, with high winds.
The wind has blown all the patio furniture over and tree limbs are everywhere.

So, I am out there bending over to pick up all the down limbs of the trees and all
Of a sudden I am falling head over onto the sidewalk.

I crash like a Big Redwood Tree;  Smash , Bang, Boom.

I am laying there thinking!!!
Oh My God Old people really do just fall down!!
Ok Jesus;  Did I break anything?
I move my hand, ouchy.
My hip is banged up!
Ankle is tweaked...

Thank you Jesus, nothing is broken !!

Now, Everyone around here is still sound asleep.
Good, No one saw that silly purple looking heap laying down on the ground
Between our homes.
First thing in the morning,
Like I needed a nap already!

I hauled myself up and I proceeded to drag myself into my house
 Then...
I threw my Birckonstock's in the trash !!
I vow to only wear sensible shoes from this day forward.

But wait!!
I really love cute shoes.
I promise to be more careful.

What is this a lady in a red high heel shoe with an ace bandage on??

Oh My!!

Smooth Hand And A Cool Touch

My Smart Phone was returned today!
WHAAAAA!
I am going to tell you something...
And...
I am not making this up!

Know matter how hard or easy I swiped my finger
Over the screen it would do nothing.
Natttta Nothing
ZIP...

Everyone else had no problems swipping and pulling up
Any app or enlarging the context.

I am like what the heck !!

Silly Rabbit

So I got this one to replace it!

$$$$$$$$

Not Really !

They told me because I have too cold of finger tips,
And to smooth finger tips, the phone could not
pick up the touch.

They actually felt sorry for me in the store.
They said we know it is not something you could help.

So I now am a proud owner of a new updated
Stupid Phone :)

Some things are just made to last!

Call Me!

Blessings,

Dial ZERO For Operator

I Will Not Be Outsmarted!

The other night I was at a benefit dinner,
And it was an honor to be a part of helping
  An amazing woman prospers during
A time of recovery from brain surgery.

At our table here goes the conversation!

Do you have a smart phone?
YES

Do you have a smart phone?
YES

Do YOU have a smart phone?
YES

Now, I am asking the last women at our table.
Do you have a smart phone?

NO I HAVE A STUPID PHONE !!

Now that was really funny to me, because my husband had just,
Asked our son to order a Smart Phone for me.

OK

Now I am worried!!

The phone arrives just before lunch,
I proceed to get it up and working;
It only took until 10:30 p.m.

Now I know why they call them Smart Phones!

I am enrolled into the school of upgrades and learning curves.

A girls got to have some curves some how!!

A Smart Phone

The next post should be on simplifying your life ( RIGHT )

Having Followers

Having  followers...

I try to live my life as a follower of Jesus,
Every day is a new challenge.

I want to be an example to others.
Yet, it is a great responsibility to lead.

I was thinking last night
That having that little box on my sidebar
On my blog
 That reads " followers"
 Was saying something to me!

Then as I prayed about it through the night!

I awoke around 5:30 a.m. and I knew,
I look at the box daily!
As if this box is a gauge of whether my words hold any weight or worth?
I will not be a captive to this box or the number any longer!

I am free to write and post and publish as He leads me!

I want even my Blog to reflect His leading!

Taking responsibility of leading others;
But I can only share what I have been taught.

So, I am taking off the Followers Box!
But, I pray many will visit and learn and grow as I am also.

For there are many deserts we will pass through,
But, I trust Him for the flowers in my life
"Followers"

May I be a wise woman tending the sheep he has given me!

Blessings,

Imagine All The People...

Living From Glory To Glory Blog

Imagine!

If we the people could just really love and care for one another.
What a change it would incur on our cities and families
We are all just passing through.
 Time is so precious!

I have always thought that if I was just kind and smiled it would change the atmosphere.
And on the most part I can feel the shift.

But there are times when it feels hard and stiff, and even dark.
Why do we stop and smell the roses in some stretches of our days and others,
We do not even see?

Today is almost over and I have a sad feeling of being not loved by those that passed me by.
Yet, I feel a peace that I was able to be kind to a few, and to exchange a smile, and nod.
~Imagine all the people we could of encouraged with just a smile~

The Floater

"The Floater"

I just love this!!

Sometimes we just need to float and feel the peace.
There is gravity to keep us from falling off the earth.
News flash!

Holding on too tight will cause white knuckles,
and indigestion.
Not to mention wrinkles.

Why Worry?
Worry will not change one thing.
Worry is sin.
Worry will waste a good day.

We can be either sinkers or floaters!

 It is better to just wait on the Lord;
So just relax and float.

For God is our life jacket!

Spontaneous Combustion

Sometimes you just need to laugh!

I believe that we just need a good belly laugh,
Now, If this was my couch or dog, I would not think
that this was so funny.
But because its is not my couch or my dog.
I am cracking up!

Life can get so hard and busy all at once,
we can become very susceptible to stress.
(Ya-Think)

So, we must take necessary steps to nip this thing
in the bud.

Before we spontaneous combust!

A vacation would be my first suggestion!
Having a beauty treatment in a spa.
or
A Merry Maid for life.

But, because we live in the real world, we must
take each day and count our blessings.
And most importantly Laugh!

Be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.
John 16:33

The Domestic Diva...

The Domestic Diva
Whip It, Whip It Good!
All I need is to whip me up an apron,
Just like the one this diva is wearing.
No, I am not Betty Homemaker...
But I am the keeper of this HOME!
May we not grow weary in doing good.
Some days and seasons may
bring difficult challenges.
But we must draw strength from our Father!
Learn to take pleasure in your daily chores,
and allow yourself the grace to
Take a day off when you're really over burdened.
Sometimes, you just have to keep it simple.
Pamper yourself a wee bit,
Learn ways to refresh yourself.
Do things that bring you life!
Remember YOUR the lady of the house.
Don't be mistaken for the maid.
Take time to keep yourself looking like a lady
And not the chambermaid.
Blessings To All, Roxy

Award Free Blog

"Why I Blog"

I really laughed over this silly picture.  I actually found it on someones blog.
To be a blogger or not is the question.
We must have this deep sense and longing of being a  part of a bigger picture.
It always seems to be a pulling and a fulfilling feeling, as you push the publish
button.  We really all do have a story.  I like to read the tidbits of a life that is being
lived far away or maybe very close to ones heart.

We are a rare and beautiful breed.
We love ,we write, we cry, we sing, we dance,we create,
we live and we die.
This life is but a vapor.

May I leave a legacy, not with just written words, but memories,
filled with hope and kindness.

I long to be noticed, yet shy away from to much attention.
I desire to laugh long and hard, but not to hurt any ones feelings.
I long to be a gourmet cook, but a grilled cheese is my dinner plan.
I desire to be the perfect wife, yet I was short with him on the phone.
I long to write a book, yet I journal every morning of my private thoughts.

May my days be filled with words of highest praise,
to the one, I long to hear Him say:
Well done good and faithful servant!

Blessings To You All, Roxy

Hey were not stupid we can read the signs of the times.
Buckle up people!

It could be way worst this time next year, plan ahead for the practical
things you can do now!

The women described in Proverbs says's she laughs at the days to come for she has made herself ready (prepared)

The Good News

Energy

Revive Me according to Your Word

I have been feeling very tired and worn out lately.  So I have decided to

add a few supplements to our daily diets.
Here is a list of them.
Brewer's Yeast
Royal Jelly
Lecithin Granules
Emergen-C  (Heart Health)

My hubby and myself are going to keep this up for at least 30 days.
We both take a multi- vitamin source daily, but we both felt the drain lately.

I start a new Bible study tomorrow.  And we are still canning!
Fire wood will be next on the list.

I just hope this will encourage even just one person as to feeling
tired or just worn out.
And to think Labor Day weekend is here!
Where did the summer go?
She watches over the ways of her household.
And she does not eat the bread of idleness Proverbs 31:27

Being Prepared...

Being Prepared...

We are living in some pretty perilous days, wars and rumors of wars!
Sound familiar?
I want to encourage each and everyone out there to think very seriously, about how well prepared you are for a winter storm or drought?
Or how well prepared are you for even a small natural disaster?

We would be wise stewards if we would be prepared to feed and take care of our families if something should happen.
Walmart is not our provider and we should not look for it to even care
about what we might need in days of woe.
We should learn something from a generation gone by
as to what a family had and put up or put back.

 Being prepared
PANTRY PREPPERS

I was watching the birds this morning and they were out there just looking for food
and coming in huge flocks to eat from our bird feeder.
And I said even the birds know when a storm is coming!
It has started to snow and wind is blowing, the birds are hunkered down for the night.

I think being a wise woman requires us to be prepared for,
Unemployment situations, storms, hard times!
Be not foolish, but build a pantry stock to provide for your family...

Be A Pantry Prepper...
